The room was small but all I needed and very nice & clean. The bar and hotel building inside were decked out beautifully. The staff were friendly. The pool area was ok but needs a tidy up and some shade over the pool area. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was nice.

Hotel itself is an older building but has had some work done. Our deluxe king room with balcony/patio (all ground level rooms) was spacious & clean with large separate bathroom. With nice weather took advantage to sit outside and enjoy. On the Mayday Hills grounds so nice and quiet at night. Rang ahead to check on the bbq and it was ready for us during the stay. The walk back from town is uphill but very manageable. Would recommend.

The grounds were lovely, the bar was good when open. Admittedly we stayed on a midweek, off season stay with no staff onsite at night and the bar closed at 7.00 pm, we were the only people using the pool and it was very peaceful, with beautiful sunsets to enjoy with a glass of wine. A quick drive to town to enjoy all Beechworth has to offer. The double room was clean and the bed comfortable but very small, almost central London size, would definitely choose a larger room next time.
