It is a hotel, have exactly what hotel should have and offer. 10 minutes walk from airport entrace- great location, quiet enough to sleep, close enough to airport to wake up a bit later. Restaurant serves good meals, especially steaks, but not only. Team is pleasant and helpful.
Room was cold thought no! Got to have the air conditioning on could I get it to warm up! No I had to phone reception they came and done it! He said you could always put our bar heater on! What they cannot make these controls easier is beyond me! So till it was warm went to have something to eat in the restaurant no that area was also chilly! Cannot believe my luck plus the area I was seating in was very low light! I feel like they are trying to save money here! Staff where very friendly food I would rate 7/10 Asked for an early morning call but you are always with one eye open will it happen yes it did 10/10 Anyway getting back to my room yes it was hot to hot tried to turn it down after a style it worked! But I like to sleep with a window slightly open guess what you cannot open the window so went to sleep my mouth was getting very dry early hours of the morning! But before I got to the hotel I took with me my inhaler as I was going ski-ing and 3 miles in the mountains not taking any chances! Well the strange thing this room with all the heat and no open windows changed my breathing to the best wow! Only used my inhaler just in case So it proves to me that a room that is hot can change your breathing! Will it done it for me. So will stay again in room 022 when I go back PG Only thing the work to the reception is about 2 minutes but nice to walk. Rate the whole place 7/10 took 15 min to walk to the Airport Terminal while pulling a small piece of luggage. When you leave your hotel you got to walk up a as when you come out of the hotel you got a steep hill! good for the hamstrings! I think there is a bus not sure you will need to ask reception when you book. Reception for me 7/10 all depends who is on I am sure you will agree. This was based on my experience only. I stay in a lot of Holiday Inn round the country so I know what is possible some are better than and some are worse do not know why! if you do not want the job why stay!. And treat us bad!. Out of 10 for everything I rate 7 But I will be back PG.
We booked an overnight stay due to an early flight. Upon check-in the receptionist booked a 4am wake up call. Our room was a disabled room - this hadn't been requested. The restaurant was closed at 10.30pm making it necessary to eat in the bar and order from a restricted menu. Service was poor with us having to chase our sandwiches after a twenty minute wait. Food finally arrived without cutlery or napkins. The alarm call did not come - this could have caused us to miss our 6am flight.
A pretty standard Holiday Inn. You can walk there from the terminal and you can walk there from the car parks. Hotel is fine, as usual with the refreshed holiday inns the restaurant/bar area feels modern, the rooms are ok but as an older hotel that has been refurbished the bathrooms aren't great. I stayed on a Sunday night before flying out mid morning on Monday, the hotel was really quiet, at 7.30-8am I was the only one having breakfast. Worth staying there as it's good value.
Stayed here one night. Was meeting colleague off a late flight and staying here before travelling further the next day. Slight issue at checkin as I had reserved two rooms but they only seemed to have a reservation for one. However this was soon resolved. Acceptable dinner in restaurant, but nothing special. Even though close to airport, not an easily walkable route from what I could see.
Nice clean rooms bed made and changed daily.and towels also changed room cleaned daily also Stayed here for 3 months as work commitments. The restaurant is clean and has a bar area and various seating areas, there is also seating outside. Service in restaurant is reasonable but it takes forever to get your dinner on some occasions he would take anywhere from 1-2 hours especially when The hotel has coach loads of tourists staying and then you really have to wait for your food, On a few occasions i sent food back due to being under cooked and there were other guests on occasions who i saw also sent food back. When you stay somewhere for a period of time you get to see the cracks that appears from time to time. Parking is ok can get a little busy due to location i.e. Luton airport. Only just got around to review as been a little busy with work but better late than never.
The room was spacious, and the bathroom big. Everything was clean and tidy. The lobby had friendly atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. I would definetly stay again if I need to. Very close to the airport as well
Arrived at the hotel at 1am. Told the hotel was overbooked and that "... we have a problem...". Staff had not called me or looked for alternative accommodation for me. They suggested a sub standard hotel 45' drive from Luton. Not impressed. Finally managed to get them to clean and set up an out of order room for me: extremely basic with damp bathroom door, unfresh carpet and sub standard feel.
Don't get me wrong the staff at check in were lovely, However all the bar staff and waiters/waitresses are miserable. I have been to this hotel twice and it's happened both times. They don't offer any help, No smiles & poor customer services. One morning I decided that I'd get room service, I got the hot breakfast which came to £16.99, When I received the breakfast it was all cold and the hash browns were burnt. Even the coffee was stone cold. However I did speak to one of the managers (A polite gentleman) and made sure I wouldn't get charged for it as he said it shouldn't be cold as it doesn't take long to take to your room. I would stay at this hotel as it's convenient (near the airport).
Booked this hotel for 1 night before a flight as it is 1 of only 3 hotels that you can walk direct to the terminal in less than 15 mins (others being HI express and IBIS). I have stayed at both the others and this would be my 3rd choice of the 3. Pull out bed was terrible by any standards and room was basic, with worn out beds and fittings. Room wasnt particularly cheap, so while I dont mind a basic room, I dont expect it when paying a premium price. On the positive side, you can walk to the terminal in 15 mins which is great!
