Staying in hotels a fair bit for work I am just getting disheartened and this holiday Inn typifies why this is. When I checked out the night rate was advertised as £255 per night which is way over the top for this quality. The room was an OK size but the bathroom was a very poor design as a wet room, the only draw back is that the floor hasn't got a gradient to drain it so when you go back to the toilet it is awash with water. Food choice was small but tasty enough although the veg seemed like tinned veg and the mash tasted like packet mash.

So thought I'd be awake all night and it turns out I was right. Being woken every five mins by people who had to leave presumably for their flights but without consideration for others. Bar was nice but busy. Breakfast ok as was dinner. Staff was ok but wifi was non existent.... something about the site not having a valid certificate. Wasn't the only one as others reported the same thing. Prob would see about other hotels as never found this to be my one stop hotel in the area for work. If flying though prob would stay .... just not for work

10 min walk from arrivals so good in that sense .... fairly quiet as well and had good sleep . Expect housekeeping entered my room at 730am which was very annoying . Also trying to pay for water at 11pm caused huge confusion at desk as till was closed . Can't accept cash or charge on room . All very odd .

The people at the reservation desk were just superb. The small but clean room was comfortable enough for a one night stay. You would be advised to skip the overpriced and mediocre breakfast and dine somewhere else. They actually started vacuuming near our breakfast table until we asked them to wait until we had finished.

We stayed here prior to our flight from the airport. The staff in the bar were badly trained (not his fault)...looking for red wine in the fridge for example whilst the ‘bar manager’ looked on and did not help. The Wi-fi did not work on 3 separate devices and they could sort it. The ‘supplies’ in the bathroom were non-existent for a 4 star hotel that charges “£255” per night on the night. A picture in the room had been ripped of the wall and holes not filled. The base of the shower was dirty.

I have stayed here a number of times both when it was the Ramada, and after it became the Holiday Inn. I think it has improved since it has become the Holiday Inn with staff who are courteous friendly. Only criticism would be the restaurant which is very hit and miss. It always appears that they are hideously understaffed or are training up yet another new member of staff who is not there the next time you stay. There is usually one member of staff there, who knows what she is doing and is trying to run the place pretty much single-handedly. She is great and deserves a medal. Food, when it finally arrives, is not great but okay.

This hotel is very near to the Luton Airport. If you take the Adison Lee taxi it will cost you 5 GBP prepaid. I arrived around noon and check in was 3 pm ( why so late check in time ). And though a room was ready and available they charged me 10 GBP extra for early check in. I would agree if for me they hurried up a room, the charge would be acceptable but Holiday Inn doing this is really un-accpetable but I had to pay, what else could I do? Had to go to a meeting. We stayed in this hotel for two nights, one night each side of a weeks holiday when we flew from Luton airport. Our expectations of an airport hotel were not very high, however we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms aren't very large and the bathroom has a very good shower but no bath. However the rooms were clean, functional and in good order. There is a pleasant bar area with reasonable prices and all the staff in the hotel were exceptional. It is possible to walk to the airport terminal but the route involves crossing busy roads. We had two heavy suitcases so chose to use the taxi which was £7.00 from the hotel but only £5.00 on the way back from the taxi rank in the airport.

Stayed here for one night as had a flight from Luton Airport, the hotel its self is very clean and the reception staff are very friendly and had no issues with them. Paid £10.95 each for 2 breakfasts plus an extra charge to have it delivered to the room, which don't really understand why hotels charge extra to have it delivered. However breakfast was not very nice at all was given raw sausages and the restaurant is rather over priced and the service was very slow half hour wait for a drink and over an hour for food. But after telling who we believed was the manager about our poor breakfast she made no hesitation in giving us a full refund and could not have apologised enough. Apart from the food the hotel is nice, would stay again if needed to, it is very close to the airport about a 10 minute walk and 2 minute cab ride.

Quick checkin process, when I got to the room it's was dark and poky and smelt musty, windows do not open so stuck with the smell. When I went for shower the water pressure was so poor you struggle to get wet never mind shower. Noticed the towel was hung up on hook opposite shower but when I took it off the hook there was a very ominous looking brown stain on it. Clearly this towel hadn't been changed from previous guest. Spoke to cleaner in corridor who changed towel. Further inspection in the room the carpet clearly hadn't been hoovered in a while as was covered in bits
