For starters I can't get my head around the price structure. I stayed for two nights the first a Thursday was £117 the second (Friday) was £60, both had breakfast included. The room was spot on and the staff friendly and helpful. My only gripe, due to the prices, is the quality of the breakfast. Hot breakfast was bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and beans, yes you can go and get more but it is very limited. Cold items such as cereals, muffins, yoghurt, fruits etc are plentiful but again limited. Compare this with Premier Inn Heathrow T4 at £91 for two nights including breakfast and you can appreciate my point. Hot breakfast included bacon, sausage, quorn sausage, mushrooms, beans, black pudding, hash brown, scrambled eggs and fried eggs, tomato and also bubble and squeak. Again you can go back for more if you so which the cold selection was just as impressive. I've always thought HI Express, Premier Inn and Travelodge to be equivalent to each other if only Luton changed it's breakfast choices it would do wonders for them.
My wife & I stayed here on a 1 night stop-over. It's a short 10 minute walk from the airport. I must admit that I didn't expect much as I assumed that the closest hotel to the airport would have poor standards. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were polite & efficient, the room & bathroom spotlessly clean. We had an excellent, relaxed self-serve breakfast. Our complements to the manager. It's worth noting that the location is not quiet, you are next to a busy road & an airport. However the double glazing does a good job & the room fan helps with a little white noise. We would stay here again.
My wife and I booked a room for one night prior to an early morning flight. We chose this hotel because it is so close to the airport -, a gentle twelve-minute walk. The room was spotless, surprisingly quiet although up against the airport fence, modern and very comfortable. We had a good evening meal at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the dessert had not arrived after half an hour - the order had been mislaid in the kitchens. But when the staff were alerted they were very concerned and helpful, the dessert arrived within five minutes and we were offered a free drink at the bar.
This hotel is literally just outside the airport and ideal for walking to the terminal. Good price if booked in advance and as always with holiday inn, good clean rooms. You know what to expect and this is no different. Nice bar and lounge area and plenty of parking. I’d stay again if I use Luton airport in the future.
I really was impressed with this hotel. I stayed one night before an early morning flight. All of the staff were very professional and courteous. Check in was seamless as was check out. Everything about the hotel was excellent. Like a well oiled machine everything ran smoothly. I left the hotel at 4am to catch a flight and breakfast was being served so I was able to grab and go which was very handy. I had dinner the evening before and the food was of good quality. A little bit expensive for what it Was, but bearing in mind it is the closest hotel to the airport. There are no shuttle busses from the airport (as I was told by airport staff). However it really is only a 5 minute walk. When you come out of the terminal building turn right and follow the signs for the hotels. Walk through the tunnel and the hotel is the first you come to on your right hand side. Easy... Will definitely stay here again.
Located a short walk from the main terminal building of Luton Airport, we managed to park close to the main door of the hotel. There was no requirement to leave our car keys, and our car was exactly as we left it one week later. We stayed the night before our flight, but not on the night of our return to the UK. The hotel itself is very clean, with comfortable beds (even for a family of four sharing one room). The dinner menu was good, and they were happy to tweak the menu to accommodate awkward dietary requirements (so much so, that we had dinner here again on our return to the UK before driving home). Good breakfast also. Helpful and friendly staff. Our night here felt very much like part of our holiday, which is important when travelling with children. The only recommendation I would make is to provide a ramp (currently steps only) so that people can walk directly with their suitcases from the hotel to the road leading to the terminal building. The only alternative to avoid steps is to walk much further out the vehicular entrance / exit of the hotel.
We stayed for one night prior to and early flight. After travelling by train the bus is frequent and drops you right by the hotel. Check in was quick, easy and friendly. The room was modern, spacious clean and very comfortable. The bed was amazing and just what is needed for a good sleep. Very convenient for the airport, only 10 minutes to walk.
Not sure why there are some reviews that hated this Hotel. As a transit Hotel, I thought it was comfortable, staff was good, food is adequate, bed comfy, airconditioned and very quiet. Keep in mind, you probably wouldn't stay here if you were on holidays for a number of days. Transiting its more than adequate.
We had an overnight stay before a very early flight. The staff in this Holiday Inn are terrific. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. I will certainly be back! Thanks to all for making our stay memorable.
I booked this hotel with a separate meet and greet car park package This was our first time flying from Luton and it was pleasantly a very smooth travelling experience (for once!) Good points - very close to the airport we walked there in about 7 mins in the morning with luggage and 2 kids this was excellent ! No faffing around waiting for taxis /busses - probably the biggest selling point - kids loved watching the planes from our window -breakfast even if it was just continental was available from 4, it was nice to get a coffee and they provided with take away bags so you could take some fruit and cupcakes if you wanted with you etc Bad points -quad room was really quite small - the food looked quite bad in the bar , we didn’t eat any tho -the staff all looked so miserable apart from one guy in glasses who was very chatty with everyone
