Arrived late evening. Staff friendly. High charge for parking. Ground floor room very noisy. Temperature in the room was extremely low and it took the air conditioner few hours to get to close to 20 deg C. Receptionist could not help when we complained so we had to stay with coats on.
Practical, functional and relatively comfortable and pain free. If you don’t mind a 10min walk to the terminal you can park for a tenner per day which ain’t bad vs the long stay charges for a long weekend. Of course they charge for parking... space around there is at a premium, so quit whinging about it. If you don’t like it, don’t park there. Food was OK, staff were fine. This hotel often plays host to groups on training courses for airport ams airline taff at Sleazyjet or TUI, so plenty of young and colourful trolley dolly’s around the place. Good luck to them on their training courses. Anyway, it’s not the Ritz, but you’ll get a decent kip before moving on....
A nice airport hotel - can walk from here to airport Nice Hotel, with the basic requirements. Normal breakfast. Confortable rooms. Can walk to airport (10 minutes), to Airport Car Parks (5 minutes). A good choice for airpor travellers.
We stayed here for a night while going to Edinburgh. The hotel is right at the airport. The breakfast was good and the staff was polite. Luton airport is St walking distance. The sight from the room window is awesome.
Had a early start so booked this as it was a short walk through the tunnel to the terminal as we had to be there for 5am . When we arrived the staff on the desk was so helpful and I was taking some bacon abroad but did not have a fridge in room , the lady on the desk very kindly put it in their fridge . We had a nice meal that night and a lovely comfortable nights sleep, when we were leaving at 4.30am there was cereals and bacon rolls set up ready , which I have never seen that set up so early in many hotels I have stayed before, so it was a lovely touch to be able to have a bite to eat before we left . We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this hotel . Well done to all the staff working there .
The Holiday Inn Express Luton is good for an overnight stay if you want to catch an early flight out from Luton. It's just a short walk from the hotel to the airport terminal, yes, even with a big luggage. Just roll along the pavement. Rooms are comfy and clean, although there was a slight cigarette smoke smell when we checked in. The food at the hotel restaurant was good too. If you are driving, there's parking but there is a charge for it.
My family and I recently stayed at this hotel as it was very close to the airport terminal. The room was very comfortable and clean. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. I just wish that the staff were a little bit more engaging at check-in/check-out. There was no greeting nor eye contact. We entered the hotel and we were completely ignored by the people behind the desk. We approached the desk and had to greet them first and asked them if that was the reception. You could actually feel that they couldn’t be bothered to be there. For dinner we went in the restaurant and I ordered a MEDITERRANEAN VEGETABLES COUSCOUS SALAD”. That sounded very good except that, when they served it, there was not a sigle med veg in sight. Just a plate of couscous served on a bed of green salad. When I asked the waitress where the veg were, her answer was: “that’s the way we serve it”. WOW. No apologies, no offer of changing the dish, no checking that I was actually happy with it. NOTHING. I know it is just a airport hotel, but a little bit more empathy with the guests it wouldn’t be such a bad thing. Moreover give the guests in the restaurant what they expect and paid for. Thank you.
Went to collect a friend. Stayed in the car park expecting they would come out quickly but they took longer than expected. A couple of weeks later Parking Eye sent me a £100 charge. Guests and visitors be careful using this hotel car park. Unjustifiable amount charged.
I have stayed in this comfotable hotel on a few occasions and have always had an enjoyable stay and got excellent value for money. It is a 5 minute walk from Luton Airport arrivals terminal. The rooms are spotless and comfortable with excellent bathroom facilities, a comfortable bed and a TV. The bar is nice with two beers and Guinness on tap. It serves decent food though the prices are not cheap. Check in was easy and fast and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and served from 4am till 9.30. I ate so well it really set me up for the day. Fast becoming my go to hotel when connecting at Luton, I will definitely be back and am happy to offer my recommendation.
Stayed overnight here before our holiday for ease with an early flight the next day. Checked in around 9pm, was very aware of car parking charges having read some reviews so that was the first thing we done. Just pop ur reg in the machine and it covers you whilst ur taking luggage up. Check in was quick and staff were polite. Lift is compact so with a buggy and suitcases was a squeeze. Family room was slighter smaller than average and had a few snagging tidy up jobs needed, but done the job for what we wanted. No noise considering we were so close to airport was really good. Breakfast starts at 4.30am with a choice of continental or bacon sandwiches. Tea tasted funky so had to leave that. Left the hotel around 6am And you do have a big steep flight of stairs to get down with luggage and children is a bit of a hike. No ramp unless you walk right round the long way. Decided to walk to airport as bus charges and it was about a 15minute walk with children.
