Walking distance from the airport (5 -10Mins) but there is a bus 2 minutes away that will take you there is you have suitcases. Exceptionally good staff on checking. Considering the location and the fact it's not a destination place for food the food was surprisingly good. Waitress was lovely, helpful and pleasant even at the end of a long shift and a room full of scream kids! Very comfortable bed, nice linen, easy to control thermostat. Limited TV stations, good WiFi, good shower. If you are looking for somewhere to sleep prior to catching some ridiculously early flight like we were I would highly recommend.
Brief visit for a drink and toilet break with my elderly and disabled father late at night. A bill for £100 penalty charge arrives 2 weeks later relating to the car park. I guess there are signs somewhere advising of penalties although these were not clear in the dark otherwise I would have followed the correct procedure and "paid and displayed" of whatever is required. Why would I not do that? I have a Class 2 Pilot medical so no issues with eyesight or alertness. Nowadays customer service is king and this a very bad failure. I have no issues with pay and display or penalties but at least have the decency to put up clear signage. I can only assume that Holiday Inn are profiting from this crookedness and I feel this is immoral. Book elsewhere!
Stayed here with my wife on 2nd December as a stopover for our early morning flight. The Hotel was fine and the room was clean and warm. The food was also good and the service excellent. The free breakfast was also very good and extensive. However we were awoke just after midnight by 3 Asian youths in the room next door to us and they were drunk and fighting with each other. They were also kicking furniture about the room and shouting loudly the whole night. We were afraid to come out of the room in case we would encounter them and our phone in the room was not working. We did hear someone from reception visit the room at 2.30 and again at 4.00am but the noise continued on and we eventually went to reception at 4.30am and reported the incident. The man on the desk told us they were trying to calm the situation the whole night without success as they had heard the noise outside the hotel. We were not offered any apology or compensation and were unable to see the Manager who was called Jasper, but we did inform the desk we were extremely unhappy.
The room was quite large for such a property as was the bathroom, but what was best was the fact that I could check in on arrival in the morning as long as I told them in advance. This meant no waiting and time for a rest after an early flight.
Does what it says on the tin here. Looks like theyve taken a leaf out of the scandinavian hotel book and kept it simple clean and efficient. Cheap at 70 for the room, comfy bed and unbestable locatin fir the airport. Foods great too. Will use again
Clean with good rooms and a comfy bed with choice of pillows. Fairly spacious. Bathroom ok except toiletries are rubbish and shower unit inflexible because of constraints. Breakfast okay but not exciting though free - hot food tasteless. Dinner overpriced but eatable. Strange young woman working bar who replied to every sentence with the reply okey-dokey as if we were timewarped to 1950s.
really nice hotel.helpfull staff we had a triple room beds very comfortable. shower was very good.we had breakfast on our second nights stay it was very good lots of choice .very well come stay after our flight from tel Aviv.
Stayed for one day to overnight before the flight. I found it clean and comfortable. Staff was nice and attentive. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows excellent choice of four. Will stay again if fly via Luton airport. Thanks guys.
Great hotel for pre night early flight stay. Close to airport modern clean rooms. Helpful reception. Booked onsite park and fly which was convenient. Decent breakfast available from 4am. Just beware if booking using the 0871 booking number. It says charges at 13p per minute but my mobile phone bill was £4.00 for a 7.36 minute call, about 54p per minute. If had been on longer would soon add to the cost.
We stayed here on 17 November for one night before flying from Luton to Inverness. The receptionist was great booking us in. The room we had was brilliant bed was great, shower good, couldn’t wish for anything better. Certainly fitted the bill we will definitely stay here again when we fly from Luton. First class. Breakfast was great, cereals, fruit juices, tea and coffee, sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs. Toast, jam, marmalade even had marmite.
