Parking was easy and instructions were good. The room was small but cute, bathroom nicely renovated. Comfort, however, was another matter. At this price level I expect cotton sheets, not plastic (microfiber)…they do not breathe. Our room desperately needs blackout curtains! (Light from hotel’s exterior comes in all night.) The bed was very firm, the “blanket” thin and flimsy, and all in all, unfortunately, we slept very poorly. This hotel is advertised as “luxury”, but it definitely does not fall in that category, in our humble opinion. I leave this extensive review not as a gripe, but to offer ideas for improvement; I’d start with the curtains! I often host guests (free of charge) at our home, and their comfort is very important to me.

From warm welcome when we arrived to pleasant chat with the owner on the day we left, a flawless room throughout. A quiet inn with picturesque views. In the heart of great walks, food, and nice shops.

Convenient with off street parking. Management extremely friendly and helpful Room was fine but would benefit by substituting a comfortable chair for ( or 2) for the wood bench. An ice bucket for each room would be a good low cost addition

We had a wonderful stay. The property was beautiful and so in keeping with the vibe of Beaufort. They really did think of everything, from waters in the room to coffee availability. Sitting on the veranda in the morning with a cup of coffee was the best! Would highly recommend this property.

Great BnB!!

They have a large private parking lot immediately behind the hotel. We arrived at about 7 PM and dropped off our luggage the night manager, Guy, was very helpful. We then went to the Breakwater restaurant, which is a one minute walk away from the hotel. Both the service and the food was excellent. We had coffee on the upper balcony in the morning, and the view towards the bridge was spectacular. The rooms were exceptionally clean. Our only minor distraction was a fairly stiff mattress.

Recently we had to be in Beaufort, SC for a bit of business and decided to add an extra day. Having stayed there once previously, we remembered how enamored we were with the quaint downtown and decided to look for accommodations there. Through our research, we finally settled on 607 Bay Inn and I'm glad we did. We were graciously welcomed upon arrival and given a lay of the land which included two communal kitchens, the veranda and balcony, and our room. Our room was situated on the second floor at the back of the house. Each room has its own private bath. We also received vouchers to be used for breakfast at our choice of a couple of different eateries downtown. 607 Bay is easily within walking distance of shopping and restaurants as well as the waterfront. The inn has delightful waterfront views itself. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the balcony as well as our evening nightcap. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized I had an appreciation for architecture, especially that of the previous century or two. This inn has that charm in spades. Though the essentials are updated as you can see from the pictures, the old wooden floors have a creak to them and the doors to the front of the house have notes on how to open them with ease. It's a charm that, to me, is priceless. Everything at the inn was well appointed. We had zero issues during our stay. If we're ever back in the area, staying here again would be an easy yes for us. I would recommend it for you as well.

Great place to stay

Loved the location, views from the porch and so quiet!!! We were welcomed and shown around the property which was nice. Received texts giving us all info we needed which was so helpful. Would definitely stay here again!!

We were welcomed and place was very clean. Area around was clean and well maintained. The area was very safe and quiet. We had a great stay well worth the money. Must visit the island, fish amp and the state park and beach. Well worth the ride to the park. River front park was outstanding. The area around the property was clean and felt very safe throughout the downtown area. Blacksone cafe is a must to visit for breakfast before 8 am

Location is everything and this hotel has it. Smack within walking distance of all of Bay Street restaurants, bars and shops. Ample and easy parking, which is a a godsend for being downtown. Lovely communication and check in is a breeze. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic house and gorgeous.

Birthday Ruined

We didn’t stay, we left because we did not like the room. We felt as though we were being monitored and not able to go in and out as we pleased. The Innkeeper walked around with a print out of all the room keypad access numbers for all to see. The room was very small. There was only one sitting chair like something from a kitchen and a tiny night stand in which we could not place our phones or personal items.
