Spent 2 nights there - check in was very good and professional - check in very quick - nice sized room with balcony - had 2 queen size beds nice size television đź“ş all furniture was good - nice and quite -

This hotel has several different area. Two storey and single story. Dining room and function centre was separate from our accommodation which was just a very short walk away. We had a small balcony where we could sit if we wished. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The toiletries are generous and they even provide a small bag for you to take any that you don't finish using. Wonderful idea. There is a bar area where you can sit and chat, read a book or just chill out. The bar has specific times when it is open but you can sit in the area at any time. It is within walking distance of the shopping centre and bay area. Very close to the tourist options such as helicopter, ferry to Russell or a sailing boat.

AMAZING! Beautiful room, modern, immaculate, the comfiest beds we have ever slept in. Ordered room service and food was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Loved our stay, will definately be back with the family and will recommend to everyone. Can’t rate high enough 10/10!! Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. Tessa and Lance Taurere

Reasonably nice rooms but dinner was a disaster. We were a party of 21 with a company that gives good business to this hotel. The wait staff seemed clueless and gave the wrong meals to the wrong people some of which were special orders due to allergies. I was offered the incorrect first course only to be told that it was too bad since the cooks were now working on the main meals!

Lovely hotel to stay at. Very close to the bay, just a few minutes walk away.Good breakfast. Room was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Great place for back packers! I loved everything about it.

We were rescued but the lovely Sian after seeking alternative accommodation as our pre-booked accommodation was awful. Sian found us a lovely room as short notice for three nights overlooking the beautiful courtyard botanic garden. She really looked after us and we loved the room with balcony and all mod cons. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice with plenty of toiletries provided. We had a swim in the pool and a good meal in the restaurant. We managed to hit a bank holiday weekend so the hotel was full and there was one room that was a little noisy but we don't imagine this would be a problem usually. A lovely hotel in a stunning location. The gardens make up for the lack of a sea view though that is waiting for you just around the corner.

It isn't a four star hotel but probably one of the nicest places to stay in the area considering all the backpacker hostels surrounding it. I'd been ill on the coach journey and needed a rest so I was grateful that the room was quiet and had a very comfortable bed. Thankfully, there was a night stand next to the bed that was just big enough for my CPAP machine as well. A very kind staff member came and helped me set up the air-conditioning (the controls were difficult to understand especially in centigrade) and she even brought me a pitcher of cold water. The note in the bathroom suggested saving water by reusing the towels rather than having them changed every day. It didn't work out that well because there weren't enough rails to hang the towels up to dry and they were very thick towels—not the thin quick drying kind. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice the clothes rack in the closet or I would have just hung them on that. Overall we were very satisfied with the room and bathroom. We loved sitting on the deck looking out at the garden below—a view of the beach wasn’t necessary! There wasn’t an elevator so it was great that someone brought our suitcases up the stairs for us. In general the staff went out of their way to be helpful but at dinner it appeared they were a bit overwhelmed serving two groups of coach visitors as well as other guests. Even so, they figured out a way to accommodate my restricted diet. My husband enjoyed the breakfast buffet but I had to pay extra for a big bowl of delicious hot oatmeal (not the kind out of a packet). We really needed to use our phone to make some out of country calls but found that the mobile phone service was terrible. In hindsight, we should have bought an international calling card when we arrived in Auckland so we could use the room phone. We found a very limited selection of groceries at the small local market including the milk alternative I was looking for. And just a warning-- if you need anti-nausea medication for a boat cruise (and good chance you might) on a Saturday be sure to go to the drug store before noon since they close early. I was told that they have their own special formula.

We were on a grand Pacific tour and stayed at this hotel. Very nice hotel. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The hotel is about five minutes walk from the beach and a good ten minutes from the centre of town but that is nice because you are away from the bustle and noise. The breakfast was plentiful and a varied choice.

Stayed here as part of an organised tour. In spite of the dreadful weather we spent a pleasant 3 days in this hotel which is fairly basic but clean and quiet. Rooms large, beds very comfortable (had two doubles in our room), safe available, iron etc, bathroom with walk in shower. Spotlessly clean. There were washers and driers for guest use but these were in constant use by hotel staff (I was told that the machine in the staff quarters had broken). There was a happy hour each night for guests (hooray! There’s not much else to do when its pouring down) Breakfasts were very good. We ate in on our last night and wished we’d eaten there for the first two nights, food was excellent. Hotel staff very pleasant but not very helpful with organising car hire. We had to use their computer to find and organise ourselves.

Very large room, great disabled bathroom can open windows and door so don't need air-con. They provide very large bath sheets for shower and a large range of toiletries, they also leave you a little bag and invite you to take the remaining toiletries home to enjoy, that's a first for us. Restaurant very good, but in house menu somewhat limited. Hotel is very disabled friendly and would recommend highly, spent two days and would have stayed longer if not on a tour
