We stayed in the one bedroom spa villa and loved the whole experience. We were right on the beach and spotted dolphins from our front verandah and loved the kangaroos coming to visit. There are a number of attractions including the Mogo Zoo in easy driving distance and even though it was winter, just sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine was an lovely way to relax and enjoy the scenery. The restaurant was excellent with great meals which were good value for money. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely be going back again.
We stayed in a beach villa in the July school holidays, with extended family next door and had a wonderful time. The villas had everything we needed - although an oven would have been nice, and there were only two hotplates. The beach was beautiful as always and nothing beats spotting dolphins from the dining table. Only thing that would have improved our stay was having the pool heated - or even a spa.
We stayed at Murramarang for two nights with our two adult children, in a beachfront 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin. Our cabin was one of the closest to the sand, and bedrooms and living area had great views of the beach. The cabin has a good sized deck with table and chairs which we breakfasted on each morning. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed, including a cork-screw which is becoming less common! There were multiple glasses and cups, meaning we didn't have to immediately wash each item and could do one decent sink-full. The bathrooms both had "Tastic" style heat lamps and effective fans. The bedrooms had extra pillows and blankets in the built in wardrobes. The resort itself for well tended, and public areas clean and tidy. The pool area was immaculate, and even though it was mid-winter, there were small children playing in the mini splash-park. The restaurant was spacious, inviting and warm, and we were impressed by the food quality as well as the prices considering guests are a bit of a captive audience. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food from the takeaway was equally high quality and we would definitely recommend it. A discussion with the resort manager established that he had taken over about seven months ago, and in that time had also bought a new chef on-board.The resort is located on the edge of a beautiful national park, and so provides plenty of scope for exploration both along the beach and through the bush.
We used to love this place, the location is simply magnificent. We havent been for 2 years and really shouldnt have bothered. Nothing had been renovated or done in the ensuite sites since we wete last there. Twice we were without hot water due to the power shorting out. The shower head had to be changed as it wouldnt stay up. The pipes were blocked and the vanity sink ove flowed as the plunger plug got stuck as it was corroded through. We had to have the maintenance man on site almost everyday. Whilst the management was swift in acting and even refunded a nights accommodation things should have never got to this point. The owners seem to have spent all the money on the overpriced wanky bistro to the detriment of the park. The playground needs updating and so does the amenities block. The ensuites are very dated. Towel rails falling off only a tiny vanity with small glass shelf above. Tiny soap holder in shower. We had to buy a shower caddy to put stuff in. In ground mould all in shower. Such a beautiful place but with all the issues it really left a sour taste in our mouths. We even had bought a friend new to camping and this left her unimpressed. Sorry but we will not return until serious upgrades are made. I really hope some notice is taken. Spent a lot of money over two separate stays and are sriously disappointed.
Stayed with my wife and two grand children for three nights mid week. The Beach villa was comfortable but if you want to keep an eye on the kids from the cabin veranda you'll need an ocean spa villa so the sand dunes don't block your view of the water front. The cabin was comfortable and had all the amenities you'd expect. There are lots of easy pleasant walks you can do along the beach or around the point on the rock platform, kangaroos in the park are exceptionally tame. The kiosk is handy for a decent coffee or a takeaway meal. You get 500mb of free Wi-Fi but cant get anymore if you run through it in the 24 hour period. Mobile connection is either non-existent or poor in the resort area. Only a problem if you need it for work or similar. Overall it is a great place to stay with kids or a couple just looking for a relaxing break. I'd definitely go back.
Stayed with family for 5 nights in march. My wife, 2 year old daughter & i were in a beachfront cabin which was very nice. Clean & simple with everything we needed including sml sexind room for cot & cooking facilities & utensils. Make sure you stock up on supplies in batemans bay so you don't have to leave for days but the shops are only 20 mintes away. There is a big playground with swings, super cool water park/pool, beautiful not too rough beach and best of all kangaroos everywhere to keep my daughter entertained plus a nice restaurant as well as a bar & skippys takeaway. I was surprised at how good the restaurant food was! I highly recommend for a family holiday!
Stayed in a Beach Villa. Mouldy blinds throughout, mouldy walls and ceilings. Non working power points in main bedroom. And only enough hot water for a 2 minute shower for 1 person, Hubby had to wait 2 hrs for the water to heat back up. Not what we expected for the price we paid. Beautiful views though.
A beautiful quiet location. Stayed in the low season so not a busy time. Stayed in an Ocean Spa Villa right on the beachfront which was clean and just a few steps to the beach. Wildlife greeted us, kangaroos and ducks. Dolphins sighted as we were leaving and nearby walking trails led to beautiful views of Wasp Island and Emily Miller Beach. A good place to stay if visiting Mogo Zoo and the surrounding area. The restaurant food was delicious and reasonably priced. Good idea to take breakfast and lunch supplies otherwise visit Batemans Bay to shop. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return for another stay.
This park is everything we wanted. We had our Caravan close to the amenities, camp kitchen and a 3 minute walk pass the cabins onto the beach and it's a quite lovely beach which some days we were the only ones on it and we were here for 4 nights.Very friendly staff (Lesley in reception,Matt in the restaurant ,Scott the cleaner who told us afew places to see and all the staff were fantastic and very welcoming. We will come back here again one day as traveling around this fantastic country we live in. Lots of friendly kangaroos here but don't feed them. The only thing I have to say is that the dyer is $5 for half a hour on a medium load which can be alittle expensive as it may need abit more time to dry.
This place is truly amazing in regards to the wildlife you can interact with. It is well looked after, the grounds are lovely. The cabins are adequate but probably needing an update. The wifi is poor. The beds are uncomfortable and could use with a pillow topper on them. The staff seemed a bit tired. The kids club wasn't going on both of the 2 Saturdays we stayed for, which was disappointing. The website says it's on every Saturday. The pool is freezing and needs to be heated. It has great potential and I believe they have a grant to heat it! Yay. The kids water play and games room kept the kids amused. It's a fantastic location for a relaxing family holiday. I do recommend it. We will be coming back.
