One of the good resort hotel in batam although far away from city centre, the facilities eg swimming pool, gym sauna are superb. A lot of sctivities offer by the hotel eg cycling, tennis etc. Breakfast is nice with verity of from food local up to western food,
Stayed at Holiday Inn Batam already a few times, always on work related trips. The rooms are very big with a small separate kitchen and a sitting area; actually too big for my needs. This time I had no complaints about the room; previously I had some complaints about stained towels, a sink not draining properly, bathroom windows not closing properly (allowing nature to come inside). But this time I must say all was ok. I am however still disappointed with the elite membership advantages offered (now and in the past); - complementary shuttle: of no use to me - 20% discount at a la carte menu Tea Tree Spa: of no use to me - complimentary 1 hr for paid Karaoke: of no use to me - complimentary desert at Thai or Chinese Rest. w/ min 2 pax reservation: of no use to me A complimentary room upgrade as Platinum was not offered; not that I needed one, the room was already too big but a choice between that and extra bonus points would have (finally) been useful.
Hi, First and foremost I would like to say thanks to the team that actually help my mum on a wheelchair from the ferry terminal. The time we arrived in the hotel, the team had been very friendly and we feel the welcome. I would like to take the opportunity to highlight Agus Hari who had been very outstanding and very helpfully. There's few things I wanted to highlight, there's dried blood stain on my bed sheet, towels and pillow case. Our safe box was not working and so is our toilet bowl flush. The room was really a disappointment. My toilet was so dirty, there was hair on the floor trap. But, thanks to the team that rectify the problem in a flash. During breakfast was good but, not much of a variety. Should have more variety on the Asian cuisine. We had dinner at the hotel but the gado-gado was too spicy for my mum. Should cater to those who don't consume spicy food. All in all, the good was awesome especially Hor fun noodle. The best part of the meal was, the waitress was so friendly and she's willing to help us changing the sauce for gado-gado. We didn't catch her name but her service was outstanding. All in all, we had a good and enjoyable holiday at holiday inn hotel as the team was outstanding. We will definitely come back again. Hopefully, you guys will look into the defect before any guest checked in into their rooms. Kudos to the team for being outstanding. Cheers, Andy Muhammad.
This is my second time coming to the hotel, I have enjoy it, the team member at holiday inn are friendly and helpful. Service is consistent and maintenance of the place is well kept. Great selection during breakfast.
The surroundings environment and facilities are well kept and house keeping is good. However the resort is showing its age. My room had a slight "musky" smell and the restroom door could not be locked properly unless pushed hard and made a "sqeeking" sound. For family with young kids below 12 years of age, the kids will enjoy the swimming pool and also games which are mostly already included in the room rates. Breakfast spread is very good, but the restaurants in the resort which open for dinner can be costly.
We felt relaxed and welcomed the moment we stepped into the resort. Great staff who are always smiling and accommodating. The trip would have been perfect had the birthday cake I ordered not been overlooked. Spa and massage are great.
Stayed at the suite room for a night stay which was huge and comes with own kitchen. Spa service can be better as we are the last customers for the night and there wasn't anyone to attend to us after the treatment. Felt that we were being rushed and the whole process was kind of shortchanged as the spa pricing is quite steep though spa ambience is good. Pool facilities is great for family for young kids. In room dining and buffet spread is decent. The mini mart is really way too pricey given the location is quite far and limited selections. Strongly suggest you get them before or from elsewhere. Staff is friendly and offers attentive service.
This resort is a little escape. The design is Indonesian with a lot of wood used, but parts are a bit dark. There are two characteristics that make the hotel wonderful: 1. The service, especially the warmth and caring provided by Happy and her colleagues at the main restaurant, is magnificent, as good as any 5 star hotel. They make one feel at home. 2. The value for money is remarkable. I do not know how the company makes money although the hotel is ripe for renovation and the one cross trainer was not working. Breakfast has many options. One can leave fulfilled. The lunch menu is quite diverse, but not all options are available every day. The gym is good enough. The spa therapists are very well trained and well behaved, but they finish early or on time, which means they are watching the clock, not great. Tintin is the best one. The pool looks lovely (I did not use) with friendly staff, and there is a tennis court and a ping pong table. The bar is a bit subdued and limited. The convenience store is vital because the hotel is far from civilisation! Reception staff are efficient, but the maid staff missed my room a few days. Overall. Great value for money and close to Singapore. It looks like a great place to bring children. The staff are hard to beat in terms of service, and the value for money makes the ferry from Singapore worth it. Highly recommended. Hope to return soon.
was here for a short getaway. stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. the suite is like a small apartment comes with a proper kitchen. but there is no cutlery or cooking utensils which is such a pity. will be great if there are some cutlery as we travel as a family with a toddler. for a 2 bedroom suite there are only 2 sets of cups & glasses available which is a bit little for us. room looks clean but very dusty as i had a bad sinus attack after we check into the room for the 1st day. overall pros and cons for the resort: Pros: - very friendly staff and speak good english - complimentary ferry terminal shuttle (sekupang), even offer to get boarding pass for us before our departure!!! - complimentary shuttle service to Nagoya hill (for IHG member, which you can sign up for free at reception) - complimentary float to play at swimming pool - great place if you travelling with young kids, they have kid's pool, water slide, sand play area, panda kids club and a little animal area (with rabbit, birds and chicken). my boy had a great time looking at the animals - nice spa area - KTV lounge is big and price is very affordable - good breakfast selection (i had 2 breakfast there and the selections are different for the 2 days) Cons: - location is quite far from shopping area (will be good if you do not plan to go out the resort much) - there are only 2 trips of the shuttle service to Nagoya hill, will be great if can have more frequency - panda club is nice for kids, will be good if can have more toys to play - if the song list at KTV lounge can be updated will be great - food at restaurant is so so (had meals at their cafe and chinese restaurant) - spa price is very pricey (close to singapore price) we went out to have our massage elsewhere - there is a water play area near to the pool but we are not aware of it as it was not turn on till the last day (which is a friday) and we quickly bought our boy down before we check out for him to have some fun - supply from the mini mart is very pricey, if you need additional supply (such as water) suggest you get them before you check in or get them from elsewhere
Overall very satisfactory improvements. Food could get better - specially pizzas by the pool and more Indonesian dishes. Pool is fantastic, enough activities for kids, good seafood place nearby. enough to do for a weekend or so.
