Excellent meal with attentive service and good choices. The week of the restaurant is an opportunity to sample good quality food at reasonable prices. A location in the centre of the town with splendid views and the restaurant is part of the four star hotel.

I would recommend staying on the second floor or higher where you get a fabulous view of the sea. The room was perfect, super bathroom with nice mosaics in the shower (although they could do with some sort of barrier to prevent water getting everywhere. Very nice staff. The breakfast buffet was very good, although they coud improve with real OJ rather than what they served. Very good value.

We chose this hotel among other more expensive options and do not regret our choice for one second. The Café de Paris is probably the best located hotel in Biarritz. The Aquarium and the Côte des Basques beach are less than a ten-minute walk away; and our two favorite spots for eating out (the Place Sainte-Eugénie and Les Halles - the indoor food market) reachable in a couple of minutes. Right in front of the hotel is a plaza overlooking the Grande Plage. The view from our room was fantastic, and covered a great stretch of ocean, some of the Grande Plage, and the lighthouse. The plaza is rather quiet and the nearest road is 30m behind the hotel: past ten PM, we could lounge on the terrace, listen to the waves, without being disturbed by any noise. We stayed in the "Suite Prestige Ocean", which was clean and spacious. Sleep quality was excellent: very comfortable king size bed and no noise from the adjacent rooms. The terrace is large, with two sun-loungers (smaller rooms/suites only have one). The atmosphere is not that of a luxury hotel, in a good way: the staff is not overzealous, but friendly, discreet and efficient. A couple of minor negative points: the room decor is a bit bland; and the breakfast buffet, in spite of covering all the bases, was below our expectations (we would have loved fresher and locally made options).

We arrived by taxi from Biarritz airport. It was just a short stroll to the hotel which is on a pedestrianised area. Our sea view room on the second floor had a clear view over the Grand Plage towards the lighthouse. Just loved our location, 5 minute walk to the amazing market place (Les Halles) incredible displays of such fresh foodstuffs. All around the market there were various bars and cafes to explore. As I said any direction from the hotel took you somewhere to eat/shop/sit and stare/bathe. Don't expect it to look much from the outside - it doesn't! But our room was clean and roomy, plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely bathroom, separate toilet. Quirky lights and features. My only gripe was there was only one mirror and that was in the bathroom not much use when steamed up from showering!! It's a good job I can blow dry my hair with my eyes closed and don't wear makeup - I found the lack of a mirror most odd. Everything else was fine though. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner at hotel as there are too many amazing places around Biarritz to explore.

We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite. We had a great view overlooking the sea and square below. The bed was large and comfortable and we enjoyed the extra space in the room. The toilet was separate to the shower room, which is good except it could do with a basin in the toilet. We didn't eat here. Breakfast was pricey at €18 per person, we walked 5 minutes up to Halles where there is the market, bakeries, carrefour and ate by the beach and in our room. The location is perfect to get to everywhere. This is a hilly city, with steps and slopes everywhere, so anyone with mobility issues should be aware of this.

Incredible beach/ocean views of "Grand Plage". Lovely room with a king or two twins. Excellent staff, lovely ocean-front bar and cafe in hotel, close to restaurants, shopping, daily market. Easy walk to Virgin Statue, Aquarium, local cathedrals, Casino Barriere, and former palace of Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie--now Hotel du Palais. Longer walk to lighthouse. Le Hotel Cafe de Paris made being in Biarritz for 6 days a wonderful experience!

See the Atlantic from your room window. Hotel's service is pleasant and helpful. The small restaurant offers stylish breakfast. The lication of the hotel is excellent - in the middle of the town but still it offers quiet nights on place Bellevue. We recommend this hotel for your visit to Basque coast.

We had a great time at the Hotel Café de Paris and would have no hesitation in returning to the hotel for another stay in Biarritz. Our room was spacious with good storage, very comfortable with a superb view of the beach The daily cleaning was conducted quickly after breakfast which was appreciated Just a few minor issues, the air conditioning didn't seem to function, the breakfast was a little disappointing with regard to variety and availability of hot food and frustratingly the bedroom had no mirror which was impractical

A very elegant hotel at sea front in Biarritz’s centre. From there you can walk around the beach and go to the old port very easily. The rooms are very good, with a interesting decoration. Great breakfast.

Love this place, small friendly hotel. All rooms have superb sea view. Relax on the bed and watch the surfers do their thing. Very helpful staff, nothing is too much for them. Location is slap-bang in the middle of Biarritz with an easy walk to anywhere. Comfortable beds, well appointed, and well designed bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities in room. Very quiet as there is no road outside, it's the 'Place Bellevue' that overlooks the stunning coast, rocks and crashing waves. Get down here. Will be returning
