Reception staff is quite friendly. If your WiFi connection breaks all the time, use a VPN - that fixes it. Breakfast is insanely overpriced, with a small selection. Go for one of the various markets/supermarkets/food shops instead.
This hotel had all the amenities for a good stay in Barcelona close to the metro, ,helpful staff and clean rooms. Found buffet breakfast good at an affordable price. Staff friendly and helpful in advising routes to places of interest. I would recommend this to any one who wants good basic facilities at an affordable price
i sty in this hotel with my family, everything good, good position, near the metro, the room is clean, large and all in order, the staff were polite and helpful. we only did breakfast in the hotel was well stocked,
The hotel is comfortable and clean. Easy to get around. Close to Metro Station. The location is nice, convenient and friendly neighborhood. Silken St. Gervasi Hotel is clean and comfortable. Good value for the price. The staff are helpful & friendly. The breakfast is good & convenient. My son & I enjoyed our stay, hope we had stayed longer to enjoy the neighborhood.
This is a cozy hotel located near (2 minutes walk) to a subway station (El Putxet). It is at about 250 m away from boulevard, on a narrow street with little traffic so it is quiet. Wireless internet is good.
we were at this hotel for 5 days, the hotels rooms are big, beautiful and comfortable, the bathroom is big too. the bus station and metro stations are near the hotel and you can go everywhere simply. the receptionists were not friendly, even they didnt say hello to us when we said!! you even dont tend to ask them if you have a question. just one young boy (i don't know the name) was friendly and when he was at the desk i tended to ask some information and he helped. another thing was that they gave us a room with 2 single bed but we wanted a double bed, when i told the man, he even didnt try to find or check for other days or try to convinced us, just said no, there is no guarantee to give you double bed. anyway i think this hotel is a good choice in barcelona, we liked our stay
Our stay at Silken St Gervasi came after a 3 night stay at a disappointing Paris hotel, so it seemed to be a huge improvement as there was actually space in the room and more than 1 elevator. I can't say the help at the front desk was great, as they didn't inform me well when I inquired about getting around on the metro/ bus, which caused me to spend unnecessarily. But breakfast was good, there was a convenience store right across the street and plenty restaurants within walking distance. Also the metro was less than a 5 minute walk away. If I were to return to Barcelona, I wouldn't rule out staying here again.
My Fiancé and I love this hotel and plan on staying here again for our next trip to Barcelona. For a price less expensive than other hotels, Sant Gervasi offers 5 star service. We were helped promptly whenever we needed something with a smile and pleasant attitude. The room has a small fridge and excellent AC that keeps the room colder than I had expected (just make sure to keep windows locked or the AC will turn off). Also, being just a couple blocks away from the metro is a plus, although taxis are pretty inexpensive in barcelona anyway. A ride to La Sagrada Famila-12Euros, Barceloneta Beach-16-18Euros, airport 26-30Euros. I definitely recommend this hotel and I plan on returning soon.
We stayed in the basic room for one night. It does the job as a place to rest your tired head. I am only speaking for the basic room. This was a last minute booking and all that was left. It was clean and adequate for a night's stay. In my opinion this room is suitable for one person vs two, but works for a couple as well. It is close to the metro but a little far off from the main attractions. The staff are pleasant and helpful.
We spent four nights here with a groupon offer, the hotel was clean and the staff were really helpful, not all of them spoke English but we got by. We paid extra for breakfast, which was good, typical continental style loads of hams and cheeses and you could order hot food such as scrambled eggs. The location was further away from the main sights but with a hire car it wasn't really an issue. The only warning I could give is the onsite parking, we hired an Audi Q2 not the biggest car by any means but because the parking is under the hotel it was so tight to get in and out of, I wouldn't recommend parking here with a bigger car or SUV.
