The hotel is centrally located. A large food hall is adjacent to the building. There is also a Five Guys and an Italian restaurant steps from the hotel. There is always someone in the lobby. It is on the main shopping road and a few minutes from Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. It s a few minutes from Casa Batllo. The bus to Barcoloneta is across the street and the subway station is at the corner. You can walk most everywhere from the hotel. The actual entrance to the hotel is down an alley - well lit and it too leads to the aforementioned food hall and a pharmacy. At the entrance to the alley, unhoused individuals would congregate from time to time . Nothing of concern. We arrived late to the hotel and there wasn’t any issue. They’d be around during daylight hours. We would stay here again.

The hotel’s location can not be better, close to many tourist attractions ( some are within walking distance), yet, it’s sitting back from the top busy street in Barcelona. Tons of food and shopping places close by too. Room is very spacious with sitting area, bathroom design is very modern yet unique too. There is also a very comfortable lounge on the second floor, with access all day long. Hotel staffs are very nice too. I would strongly recommend this hidden gem to friends. Thanks! 👍👍

The location of the hotel is super and very convenient to everywhere including airport. However, the bathroom of the hotel looks very shabby compared to what I paid (over €300 per night in mid October). Only a small piece of soap was provided. The light in the squeezing toilet is turned off every one minute, then you have to make some noise to have light if you stay there for more than ONE minute. The bathing towel almost can not absorb the water after you took a shower. This property should not be called hotel rather hostel. The only thing I should mention is the happy hour every day from 7-8pm, but I don’t drink.

The hotel is in an ideal location; our room was very clean, with a great shower and wonderful bedding. The mattress was a bit firm for us, but of a high quality. Room decor is beautiful. The staff was attentive and welcoming.

Great expierence

I had a wonderful stay at Praktik Essens in Barcelona. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations and assistance. The location is perfect—close to everything while still feeling relaxed. The hotel was spotless and very well kept, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I also really loved the happy hour—it was a great way to unwind and meet other travelers. Overall, a fantastic experience and I would definitely stay here again!

Loved the hotel! I had only one small issue, is that when I showered water leaked from the shower to the bathroom floor. Not a big deal, but something that could be fixed I hope. I'll stay here again when I return to Barcelona.
