I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, friendly and central Barcelona hotel. We shared a room with 3 adults and had a gigantic kingside bed as well as set of bunk beds. The rooms also had a mini bar, a free-to-use safe and a decent shower. A lovely touch was an unexpected balcony terrace which allowed us to sit out in the sunshine in the late afternoon. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel so can't comment about that. However, the hotel does offer a free self-service coffee/tea bar in the bar area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and well kept. Only drawback is no bar in the hotel. However, there is a great little bar next door.
We stayed here for 4 days and had a wonderful time - BUT - the hotel was a bit of a disappointment - or at least not quite a 4* hotel. We stayed on the ground floor where no daylight entered because outside our window was a high wall. The room was also extremely dusty…. The breakfast however was excellent.
First you have to get over the black and bleak decor. The corridors have got all the charm of a badly lit multiscreens cinema but the room was big (and black!), clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a jacusi, an excellent shower with an endless supply of hot water. Slight unpleasant smell from the wash handbassin (happened elsewhere in Barcelona too ) Breakfast was very good with plenty healthy options - but there is an excellent tiny bakery next door if you prefer. The location is great, you can walk to a lot of the places of interest and many bus and metro lines have stops nearby so moving around is easy. I was there for my birthday and got a complimentary bottle of cava, some chocolates and a muffin with a candle on: Nice touch! The staff was very efficient they warned us in advance about a taxi strike and explain alternative ways to get to the airport. All in all a very good hotel. It will be our first choice when we go back.
As with any photos online it's supposedly shiny and new but unfortunately it's dated and the decor is tired. Staff are friendly, continental breakfast was nice and it's in a good location for all the sites so if that's your plan then for the time you will spend in the hotel it's fine for the time being. Another 4 to 5 years then this place will need updating.
I've stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and had a very good experience. The Quadruple room suits my family perfectly. What I like: 1. Location. This hotel is at central location. You can walk to most of sites. 2 blocks away to Placa de Catalunya and then to La Rambla. 3-4 blocks away to Casa Batllo and Casa Mila. We also walked to Sagrada Familia. It's about 20 minutes. About 15 minutes walk to placa de catalunya. 2. The Quadruple room has a large king size bed and 2 bunker beds which my daughters like a lot. 3. Free Bike for 1st come 1st serve. We rode the bike via La Rambla to the beach and enjoyed it a lot. 4. The staff has been very nice and friendly. 5. Shopping/eating is very easy. What I don't like: 1. The sink has some unpleasant smells. 2. It's next to a school so it can be noisy sometimes. Overall it's a very good hotel and I'd stay here again.
We've visited Barcelona for the weekend. we were 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 9). The staff was very helpful with a smile all the time. The rooms were clean and ready for us. Breakfast was excellent with a big variety, fresh and tasty. There was even a "kid's food" section. The hotel location is good: 5-6 min walk from Placa de Catalunya, 2 subway station in few minutes walk and a taxi stand on the corner of the street. There's a grocery store across the street and also a nice cafeteria serving Italian food. All for all it's a great place for a very good price.
very clean very good staff great location easy reach of all main tour attractions bars and restaurants Hotel breakfast over priced for what you get but we used it anyway but we were only there for three days. We picked this hotel as there where not many hotels with quadruple rooms as we were travelling our daughter ,son in law and 2 grandchildren.
We were looking for a centrally located hotel in Barcelona that can accommodate a family of 4 and Petit Palace BCN definitely fits the bill. we were offered a family room, i.e., with 2 single beds joined together and 2 bunk beds for the kids. The room size was OK, not really massive but good enough not to feel constricted. It has air-conditioning, although it was not working when we tried it....but we never really had the need to use it since we were just fine opening the windows a wee bit. However, I believe that had we complained about it the staff would have made sure it was working since we found them to be very professional, helpful and friendly. We did not get the breakfast option, but the Cafe Alsur located beside the hotel offered excellent brunch menu at reasonable prices. There's also a deli near the hotel offering coffee, sandwiches and desserts, so we never felt the need to try the hotel breakfast. We opted to get the 4G Mi-Fi device, at €5 per day, which helped keep our kids engaged and happy throughout the entire holiday. It even worked on the underground metro. The hotel is located in a very nice place between 2 Metro stops: Uriquonaona (serving Lines 1 and 2) and Passaig de Gracia (Lines 2, 3, and 4). Both are about about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There's also a Taxi Stand near the hotel, which we found to be very convenient when we left for the airport. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable, We'll definitely stay at the hotel again on future trips.
Just spent couple of nights in this hotel with my family. We had a family room that was big and after all nice and clean. The coffee machine in the lobby is still not working 😊 just so you know. The location is very central.
It is a great choice if you want to stay near Plaza de Cataluya and want to enjoy an affordable 4 star hotel. I just think breakfast is way too expensive, especially if you compare to other 4 star hotels.
