When we checked in, no one mentioned anything about the spa. So we never found it. Don't even know what was there. Breakfast looked nice, but wasn't as extensive selection as we expected or as nice as the other hotels we stayed at in the region. Parking was nice to have on site, but so complicated! Was fine once we arrived and turned over the key. But when we needed to leave no staff member had a license to drive! So we have to get the car out ourselves. Ordinarily, that would be fine. But no one mentioned that the elevator the car had to use was literally a few inches larger than our car in all directions! And then, no one told us how the doors opened. So it took a long time to get the car perfectly straight into the garage. We had to close both side mirrors to enter the elevator, so they weren't any help. Then to leave the building, the doors opened towards the car! And ended up slightly scratching our car! :-(. We didn't realize it because it was still dark out. But the car rental company did! And they charged us about 400 Euros!!!! This would never have happened if the staff members could have taken care of our car as they had on the previous days.

Our stay at Hotel Ohla Barcelona over the New Year period was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after at every turn. The reception team were warm, efficient and professional, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay. The concierge service was equally impressive – knowledgeable, attentive and always happy to help with thoughtful recommendations and seamless arrangements. A real highlight was dining at La Plasohla restaurant, where both the food and service were outstanding. The atmosphere was vibrant yet refined, and it was clear that great care is taken to ensure guests have a first-class experience. The New Year entertainment laid on by the hotel was amazing, creating a festive, stylish and unforgettable celebration that felt both special and effortlessly well organised. A particular mention must go to Anise, the Food and Beverage Manager, whose leadership and attention to detail were evident throughout. Her passion for hospitality truly shines through and elevates the entire dining and guest experience. Hotel Ohla combines luxury, warmth and impeccable service in a prime Barcelona location. The staff were fantastic but the rooms are definitely not five star standards. The bathroom is tiny. The bath is an open bath, so not usable if this is a family travel. The location is excellent.

The standout feature of our stay was the staff who really went the extra miles to make is feel welcome. I celebrated my birthday during the start and the hotel staff were really fabulous and I was also provided with a gift of a bottle of cava on arrival in the early evening. The facilities were also really good and the rooftop bar is a glorious spot

Ohla Barcelona Hotel is great “home” to explore the city. Walkable for all the tourist's needs: sights, food, shopping, beach or just wondering through the Gothic neighbourhood. The service was excellent from the start, helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast and amazing service. Room was large, modern and clean.
