Loved this hotel. The staff could not have been nicer. We loved the rooftop bar and the breakfast was delicious. Great location. My only suggestion is that if you are oaths by a car, they have an area just past the hotel where you can pull you car in and have them park it. This needs to be more visable. We drove around fir quite dark me too me try my to figure out where to park. Once inside though the staff could not have been nicer.

great location to all sightseeing attractions; secure - doors are locked at 1 AM

Every minute of my stay was enjoyable. From check in, to concierge services, to breakfast - all A+! I would highly recommend it. The staff is upbeat, friendly and helpful. They all speak impeccible English. The room is to die for. So modern, spacious and luxurious. Location can't be beat. Stay here!

Can't say enough about what an excellent stay my husband and I had. All of the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The manager personally introduced himself and all went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. The hotel pool was excellent and so were the cocktails and tapas we had. We also ate at the wine bar on site which was also excellent. We loved the amenities here and our room. My only minor complaint was that the sheets of the bed were sprayed daily with a heavy perfume. I'm sensitive to smells so it was a little overwhelming but honestly not even worth complaining about because the rest of the stay was so great! Thank you Ohla! I can't wait to plan my next trip back!

We love our staying at the hotel, very profesional staff, the manager went above and beyond in making sure we had an excellent time, it was my wife's birthday. I order the romantic special, the staff made happen on time and well done. Also they recommend us an awesome restaurants and the flamenco show was amazing. Give them 5 stars

Amazing value and location. Staff and service is excellent. Just wish we would've known the rooftop pool terrace which was the reason we booked it was closed for construction :(

Great service and friendly staff. Great location and the room was lovely

The bed was much too hard. The view from our room was gorgeous!

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel in town for the April 2016 El Clasico! The location was perfect for walking through the winding alleys of the Gothic Quarter, close to La Rambla, and so many shops and Tapas bars. Hotel staff were very friendly, and accommodating. The view from the rooftop pool was perfect. The room was very comfortable, the bed and sheets were wonderful.

Barcelona is a beautiful city I was just there for tourism and at hotel Ohla it feels as I am so comfortable and relaxing and enjoying the city

Ohla Hotel was a great stay, the staff is very welcoming. They were very accomodating to all of our needs and they did not spare their expertise on the local must-eats, must-do's and must-see's. The hotel is situated nearby many restaurants and shopping. Would highly recommend to a friend for their next stay in Barcelona.

Everything about the hotel was just okay. The quality of service and breakfast was absolutely not 5-star.

The hotel did not meet our expectations. The service did not live up to 5-star quality. The staff was polite but not very helpful.

This hotel was great. Quiet and clean rooms. Location was great, with lots to do in the area. The roof top pool was great too. The glass of Cava at check in was a nice touch too. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, but if I were to return I would be inclined to stay close to the beach. The boutique bar is a must.

This hotel is in the center of all the action, yet is amazingly quiet. Spent two nights there and were not disturbed by street traffic or pedestrian noise even though we were only on the 2nd floor. Very contemporary rooms with nice comfortable beds. The breakfast buffet is excellent and was included in our room package. Also, don't miss out on watching the sunset with a drink on the rooftop bar. A highlight on the final night of our trip

Ohlalala what a beautiful hotel, I missed to stay more? Perfect place (the gothic place) the perfect staff, all renewed building. I'm gonna miss you guys

Hotel Ohla was a very enjoyable experience. The hotel was conveniently located. The rooftop lounge was a grat place to end the day. Breakfast was a wonderful variety of choices. We would definitely visit Ohla again

it was amazingly wonderful in all regards! We would go back there again no doubt! Loved the staff from the time we walked in the door to when we checked in and were served a glass of fine champagne. The rooms were beautiful, the food was finely prepared and delicious and again the staff was wonderful.

One of the best places I ever stayed. Rooms were great, rooftop terrace amazing, great location. Nicest staff as well. Arun

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Ohla in Feb 2012. There are several reasons why I think this should not be rated a 5 star hotel though. 1. We had booked a Junior Suite and was given a room on the third floor. While we are from NYC and used to street noise, the low floor and poor insulation made for a tremendous amount of noise at night. Additionally, you can hear and feel the Metro underneath. Asked to switch rooms after the first night and was accommodated to a new room on the 4th floor the next day. The new room was minimally better in terms of noise, but a lot larger. I don't think there should be this much discrepancy in the size of the room when they are both suppose to be junior suites. I would not consider any of the x06 rooms suites. 2. Concierge - While they were all nice and helpful, they lacked some basic knowledge. I had asked to book some day trips to outer Barcelona and was told only the Montserrat trip was running and was told to go to the central tourist information in placa de catalunya. I thought the point of a concierge at a five star hotel was to take care of this for me. Not being satisfied, I did a brief (5 minute) google search and found a travel site with an office 3 blocks from the hotel that offered day trips to not only Montserrat, but Sitges, Costa Brava, Pyrennes, etc. The concierge should be able to find these things out for me and not blatantly tell me no day tours exists. The good: 1. While there were problems with noise, the location in the heart of Central Barcelona, within walking distance of Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas is hard to beat. Other Comments: 1. Tried Sauc, the 1 Michelin star restaurant in the hotel. The ambience is lacking with low ceilings (secondary to it's Mezzanine location). Food is average. 2. Breakfast was average to a little above average. Can't really go wrong with breakfast. Conclusion: While the location in the heart of the city was good and allowed for easy access to most sites, I would likely stay elsewhere on a return trip to Barcelona. Hotels such as the Mandarin Oriental and Hotel Arts de Barcelona are only minimally more expensive. The Mandarin Oriental has an equally good location. If Ohla hotel fixed the noise issue and knowledgebase of their concierge staff, I would consider them an above average 4 star hotel.
