Great location but pricey for what you actually get
I arrived at the Regina Hotel via taxi from the train station. At check-in, I was told that since I was staying for nearly 2 weeks, they would like to give me a superior room with a balcony facing the main street but that I had to wait approx. 1 hour for the room to be cleaned. I waited at the bar and had a very pleasant conversation with the bartender. The room was well-worth the wait. Although it was small (typical in Europe) it was very comfortable and modern. A fresh flower was on the desk next to a letter of welcome (with my name written on it) and a freshly baked giant cookie! The mini fridge was stocked and the WiFi worked great. The staff is extremely nice and helpful and answered any questions I had about the city, restaurants, tours, etc. The hotel does not have a pool or gym, but they gave me a day pass to a nearby Spa ($14/day) that was one of the best spas I've ever been to. Hotel Regina is a 1/2 block away from Plaça Catalunya and couldn't be more centrally located. The only downside is that the hotel is quite noisy. The hallway echoes, and you could hear the cleaning crew wheel their carts and vacuums throughout the day. Also, the walls are paper thin so you could hear the conversation in the room next door. However, if I were to return to Barça, I would stay at the Hotel Regina, again. It's worth it.
we stayed there for 4days. location was great. otherwise, nothing was spectacular. The staff was very kind.
The hotel is in a great location. The rooms could use some work but are adequate and clean. Wi-Fi was great.
Just off Plaza Catalunya, perfect access to the city and public transportation to the airport and trains. The hotel was a great value, but also a quality hotel. We loved the balcony. Not much of a lobby to hang out in, but with Barcelona right there, we didn't really miss it at all.
