This is a beautiful Hotel, Close to la rambla and also placa Catalonia. Super Outstanding service from all of the staff. Including Paulina who was very helpful, focus and good service at the beautiful hcc terrace with a wonderful views. Value for money was ok and the breakfast presentation and quality just outstanding. Stayed July 2017, travelled with group.
Am writing my review from the hotel right now , the hotel is beautiful a bit older but nothing major , the staff here do their best to help you in anyway, the breakfast buffet also good hot bacon, scrabble eggs and fresh juice. The only fault I found with this hotel there are tiny ants everywhere in the bathroom and in the beds , before I leave am definitely shaking out my suitcase, also if your looking to sleep in it's impossible due to the morning rush in the hallway yelling or talking . The location of the hotel is spectacular!!! Everything is right around the corner from high end shopping down to Mac Donald ... lots of tapas to try also if you like u can buy your own wine or beer at the local supermarket with is a 2 min walking distance . I forgot to mention if your looking for a night cap check out the roof top patio for your complementary drinks and the sunset absolutely beautiful.
This was the third time we have stayed at the Regente. This time we stayed for 10 days in June and July. We booked in September last year in order to secure superior room 703 which has a large terrace and lots of room. The staff were as always superb and could not do enough for guests. A special thanks to Sandra the Reception Manager. All in all this was, as expected, another excellent stay at a well run hotel in the city centre. An extra special thank you to Silvia the Hotel Manager for, again, making our stay so enjoyable.
We stayed at the HCC Regente for six days in June and were very happy with the location of the hotel. We were able to walk to many of the main attractions and were also very close to the metro and train station. The hotel is on the Rambla de Cataluyna which is at one end of Las Ramblas (a main tourist street). It is within walking distance but far enough away to avoid the crowds of Las Ramblas. The room was nice and the bathroom was modern, however we would have preferred a double bed rather that two singles that were pushed together. I think this is a common practice in Europe as we had the same situation in other cities we have visited. The air conditioning worked well and the shower pressure was also good. There is a nice roof-top deck where you can enjoy the city view and have a drink or snack. There is also a pool but it is rather small. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality, however if we return we would opt to have breakfast at one of the many cafes in the area as it provides another opportunity to explore the city. The staff was very friendly and helpful; however Mireia at the front desk deserves a special mention. She seemed to always be there with a smile and was able to assist us on several occasions. She is a credit to the HCC Regente. If we return to Barcelona we would choose the HCC Regente again.
The hotel was in a really good location within walking distance to sights and metro, staff were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble, rooms were modern and comfortable. Only down side was that the roof bar was not opening until the beginning of June, but wonderful views from the roof terrace.
I just spent one night here, the hotel if classic but quiet and fine. I enjoyed the breakfast, the quality of the food was good (superior quality pastry and cheese). The overall room feeling was OK, however I was offered a room with 2 single beds instead of a room with a queen/king-size bed. Also, the TV has the USB port disabled, can't understand why... By chance I had my laptop and used the HDMI instead. As a recommendation, I would use a softener for the towels or just replace them. Overall good stay, would stay again.
Booked the hotel 2 months in advance and requested a double bed but were given 2 single beds and when asked to change the room or solve the problem they created, they were very rude, very slow and did NOT solve it in the end. Very bad first impression.
If one word could describe this holiday it would be hot!(purely from a weather point of view id like to add) With temperatures exceeding 30 degrees C , I was told that Spain was experiencing a heatwave-according to BBC Weather .Those that live and work here may think differently For those of you who may be thinking of travelling to this wonderful city and don't like hot oppressive weather should choose the month of travel carefully. My accommodation was at the HCC REGENTE on the Rambla de Catalunya, Its located within an easy walk to the Plaza de la Catalunya about 10 minutes walk away.On your way you will pass endless cafes , clothes shops and a variety of others.Once you arrive at the Plaza you will see the tourist buses which allow you to get on and off at various places of interest .Adjacent is the department store EL Cortes Ingles. The food hall is worth a look downstairs as are the other departments in the store and provides the chance to cool down. The hotel has undergone several changes since my last visit about 6 years ago. The rooms and corridors look classier. The look of terrace has been improved However i did feel that breakfast could be improved upon . I personally would have liked to see a variety of fruit , for example grapes, bananas, strawberries at each sitting.Maybe porridge could be offered as an alternative to the cereal The reception staff were always friendly and helpful as were all the staff i met during my stay. Would i stay here again ?Well that is a difficult one for me to answer.I have been to Barcelona and this hotel so many times ,My last visit was over 5 years ago. I don't think you can never say never but Europe has a lot to offer and its becoming affordable Enjoy Barcelona Soak up the atmosphere and Make the most of your break Bon Voyage!!
Loved this little hotel that's walking distance to Ramblas. The front desks were great and helpful. We were upgraded to a room with city view and a balcony. Even though it faced the street, it was quiet. ( good soundproofing). Very clean room and bathroom. It has a bidet which is always a bonus! Just need to seal that bath screen so that the floor doesn't get flooded every time the shower is being used. Breakfast wasn't great, not much choice. Other than that it's a very good, small and well managed hotel. Would definitely recommend it to friends.
This hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the beautiful Barcelona city, its surrounded by some quaint Tapas and drink places. The hotel foyer is very attractive with one of the most shiniest floors I've ever seen. Rooms are very basic but immaculate. Shame this only a B&B as I feel it would compete more if an evening meal was available. Rapid check in, the staff are amazingly friendly and greet you in a couple of languages. The breakfast is a simple continental offering. Scrambled eggs, bacon ,sausage as hot food and plenty of fruit, coffee, croissants and cereal. The bar is very quaint, a few simple spirits are offered and not particularly cheap at 13euros for a Bacardi and coke, but the amazing service is worth it.
