Pros: The location is just amazing, it very close to metro station/bus stop. Lots of shops around. Check in was fast, front desk team is friendly and helpful. We loved the breakfast and common area. The hotel ambience is unique and has its own history. Cons: If you planning to stay in apartments or a family room (for 6 pax), then you will be staying in a building next door. Sadly, there was a problem either with the door or the access card, but we had to call frond desk team couple of times because we couldn’t get in. Housekeeping need some improvement, in twin rooms with private bathrooms we found hair in the shower :/ .
If you looking for a central place in Barcelona with great rooms, excellent public space to chill and also a wicked breakfast then look no further! I stayed here with my friends over the weekend and cannot stop raving about it. Our room was clean and comfortable. I have to say probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on to date! Staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I love the new WhatsApp feature so convenient to ask simple questions. Who needs a hotel phone anymore when you can type all your questions and get answers in real time. Love it! I will be back Casa Gracia and cannot wait. Big shout out to Isabel who made my reservation and ever so accommodating. Mucho Gracias!!!
Casa Gracia was a great place to stay. We had a room with a private bathroom and it was sparkling clean. Our room was spacious and the staff were cheerful, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The location was great for us too. We were happy with our choice in accommodation and were very comfortable in our room. Gracias!
Couldn’t recommend Casa Gràcia more highly. The accommodations are fantastic, spacious, relaxed, and comfortable. The bar/restaurant area is very hospitable. They have a bartender called Seba who is awesome and very helpful with recommendations. It’s a great place to relax after a long day of walking for a nice dinner/drinks, and/or to prepare for a big night ahead. Looking forward to staying here again next time i’m in Barça.
Right now I'm staying at Casa Gracia and I really like it here. There are a lot of rooms where you can relax or work and they are all beautiful. The staff is also very friendly. There is even a girl at the helpdesk who speaks my language! (dutch) The bartender Sebastien is very nice, he is very good at throwing drinks in the air (don't worry he always catches them). The breakfast has a lot of variation, it's very good.
We stayed there for two nights. The location is amazing right in the city centre and all the important sights are at a walking distance. Although the rooms are a bit overpriced as we were out up in a room with no windows or ventilation. But the price you end up paying is for the location. Also the kitchen is fully equipped and big which is big plus!
I was recently visiting Barcelona after a year that I had moved out. I must say that as I person who has lived in Barcelona I am eager to try new places specially when friends recommend them. La Paisana de Casa Gracia was highly praise by a good friend of mine, so we went together with some others and experienced a night full of great food (try the bonfire potato with seared calamari, the roasted sweet potatoes and shepherd's creme fraiche, a burrata and Asian vegetables to die for), great wine, fun atmosphere, impressive decor and attentive service. After dinner we went downstairs to the lounge and cocktail bar area, this space is very unique as it used to be a bank's vault. At the bigger space a dj was playing next to the cocktail bar area, we sat there, the bartender from Chile was pleasant, engaging and fun to talk with and I personally enjoy to see him work, the cocktails were superb, great selection of spirits. Overall the experience was one of the best I had in Barcelona! Highly recommended! Place to be when in Barcelona!
-BUGS BUGS BUGS Not thoroughly clean. Drawers in rooms not clean (full of hair, left over lollipops, dust and crawling long bugs -the length of a finger nail). -No internet in rooms!!! Lack of accountability and ownership among staff, which makes the guest experience disjointed and irritating. -1st night (10pm) was sent to a fully booked room, wrong bed. Went down to reception and was asked to speak to someone else to solve the problem of getting the right room and right key! -Smoking on the balcony highlighted to a staff member, he addressed it and let them finish the cigarette! Despite two non smoking stickers on the balcony. And cigarette smoke filling the lounge area -At breakfast bored and unmotivated guy asked everyone for their breakfast voucher. Most guests who were entitled to free breakfast did not know about the voucher. How about at check in, tell guests who have free breakfast to present the voucher at breakfast OR send up the list of rooms who gave free breakfast to the breakfast concierge and he can cross check rather than interrogating each guest for their desire to have a coffee and croissant and sending them all the way back to their room for the room card? -I Booked another night and confirmed room/bed. Someone came to check the room (11am) was vacant the next morning, stated I wasn't on his list and then asked me to go downstairs and confirm it with reception, even though I showed him an email and receipt that I had paid. I politely reminded him who was here to work and verify guest data and who was on holiday. Great Activities and Tours: Tapas tour 25 euro with wine Free walking tour Free yoga Great large open spaces: Library Lounge area Computer area Kitchen Dining Hall Terrace Lots of bathrooms Downstairs/Attached to hotel: Lively restaurant Cocktail bar Hot power shower Hooks everywhere Plugs everywhere (could be fitted with USB plug points points) All staff friendly and interactive; the difference is whether they put in the effort, own their ability to deliver customer centric service. Awesome design!!!
When I first got to Barcelona, I was looking for a better place to stay and I found this location. I had a single bed room and it was clean and nice. I loved the staff and the people in the restaurant were very friendly. The choice of food for breakfast was very nice, I enjoyed the buffet. It was a great location, walking distance to all the points of interest and buses were just at walking distance. The lounge and patio were a nice gate away to spend time on your own and they have a self laundry room.
Very close location to Las Ramblas. Love the area the hostel is situated. We had a private room with a balcony and it was fantastic. The man at check in and the rest of the front staff were very helpful. Loved the interior of the place. We got welcome drinks but were not allowed to use it at the bar. The bar is nice though the service from the bartenders could be nicer. A little pricey for what you get but overall, it was a great stay.
