Great location for the beach and the glamping tents were comfortable. BUT it is infested with mosquitos and we had to buy 45 euros worth of anti mosquito products after being bitten 40 times in the first 10 minutes of arrival. They have no towels, hardly any crockery, nothing to wash up with. It is extremely NOISY - directly under the planes taking off from Barcelona airport every 2 minutes until 1am. Drunk guests kept us awake until 2:30am. Never again - it cost much more than a hotel in the end
Me and my husband hired plot P05, which is the most spacious and includes sunscreen, plus a lovely view on the beach. We were travelling by car and caravan, we planned to stay 7 nights, but booked extra because we enjoyed ourselves so much @3Estrellas. The camping site is quite big, maintenance is ok, staff friendly, the services sufficient. The quality of the food in the restaurant and the productrange of the supermarket are surprisingly good! Showers, toilets and dishwash area are clean enough. You can have a swim in the sea or really nice pool. At the beach you can rent a surfboard, kajak, peddleboard, sail, ... The domain has constant camera surveillance and a decent closure towards the beach, employees walk and drive around frequently to do checkups. 3Estrellas is a 15minute drive from Barcelona centre, 1hour and 30minutes away from Tossa del Mar.
Firstly when we arrived, we were not provided with the accommodation type which we booked through booking.com. This is an issue which we will be following up in due course and we will be making a formal complaint. There was a large amount of noise throughout the night with air planes passing by (not something that can be helped, given the close proximity to the airport). What can be helped though is a the control of unruly campers, staff presence to a complete minimum. The sounds of drunken parties enhanced through drug use throughout the night and truly spoilt our stay. Staying with the family (two young children) and hearing drunken males from the accommodation behind clambering through the bushes and urinating at the back of our accommodation was most unpleasant. What completely infuriated me was my 4 year old Daughter picking up two plastic bags containing the remnants of cannabis, one politely marked up as 'cheese' from within our accommodation in the light of day the following morning and saying to me "what are these Daddy?". A truly shocking place to stay, avoid at all costs (unless you are a cannabis smoking and drunken party loving idiot, of course).
Booked a sea view caravan pitch for 3 nights, once on the site it is difficult to get to your pitch the roads are tight and scraped all the side of were caravan with a tree,it’s so crammed packed, the women’s showers are the filthiest I have seen the amount of hair and people trimming places and leaving it laying and I complainedand it was still there,it was disgusting, beach was beautiful, launderette is ok,shop overpriced,if you go out the site along left to supermarket there is prostitutes on plastic hairs either side of the road so that’s a nice thought when you are trying to enjoy a family holiday won’t be back was more stress than relaxing
Glamping is an overpriced very cramped tent. Choose the light or the fridge - you can’t have both. Rented towels couldn’t be thinner. Showers are poorly designed. Noise (can cope with the planes but other groups have no respect for less noisy campers). Restaurant is overpriced with ordinary food (anyone can cook what is dished up). Wi FI - not very reliable. Overall..go somewhere else.
We had the bungalow for 6 ppl and I have to say it was very good. The location is awesome. We were directly at the beach. I liked that the supermarket and the restaurant were on the place. I didn't like the fact that if u order breakfast included, one only gets a breakfast in the restaurant with a value of 3€. And that was just a toast or a croissant with a hot or cold beverage. There was also bacon and eggs but for that one had to pay extra. So the breakfast was not at all satisfying. Secondly, the shower. It always switched between hot and cold without one doing anything. So it always took one way too long to take a shower, because the temperature was always changing. Also, everytime u were in one room u could always here everything in the other rooms. The worst thing was the floor. It was very clean and beautiful but if u were walking around at one end of the bungalow one could here it at the other end of it. Also our AC didn't work....so it was way warmer in the bungalow than outside. All in all it was very beautiful, also because we had a terasse with a big table and six chairs so we could always eat outside. The view was amazing and the people at the reception were very kind. I would definitely recommend this to everyone but not for a long period.
I regretfully booked a campsite for three nights at this establishment because of the close proximity to Barcelona city. For €22+ you get only a patch of rough gravel to pitch a tent with no shade or electricity. The showers is a nuisance to operate- you need to keep the tap button down for the duration of your shower and there is not even a hook to hang your towel or a place to stand your soap! Only one of the ablution blocks had hot water. Very poor value for money. Just hit a nail in the wall of each shower and it would be an improvement already! They won’t see me here again! Thats for sure! PS. The girl at reception was very friendly and helpful when I booked in.
We visited at Easter and I hadn’t had a chance to look at the reviews we just wanted easy access to the city staying in a camper van. If you were looking for a nice beach site you wouldn’t choose here but if you want easy access to the city and a stay by the beach then this is the place for you. There are all the facilities you need, the shops ok and the shower block was modern and clean. The site is a little worn in places but then being right on the beach it can be quite windy and it looks to be very busy as motorhomes kept coming and going. The bus is 5 min walk from site and costs 2.20 euros and takes about 40mins to La Rambla. Would use again for the convenience.
We used 3 Estrellas because of closeness to Barcelona, despite its poor reviews. We now regret as after nearly 3 years of full time in our motorhome (probably around 200 sites) this is the filthiest toilet block
A very nice clean and tidy campsite , we were in a motohome and had a good size pitch with electric hook up. Wifi a bit hit and miss . Close to the toilets and shower bloke that has just been updated and is warm and wounderful and clean and great new laudrette facilities and a supermarket onsite and close to the beach and very peaceful and bus stop close by to get into Barcelona. Very nice . We didn't try the restaurant as we walked in and saw the over priced pizzas as described in prevouis TripAdvisors reports and walked out . Sorry but the restuarant definitely needs improvements. But we did find a lovely restuarant along the beach called restuarant Quesada gaya mar which was very nice . Enjoy your stay .
