Star class! Everything good. Pool, Gym, breakfast, rooms, service good good good. Highly recommended. I was on a round tour with friends and we had a very pleasant stay after a long day in Barcelona and the surrounding area.
In "Hotel Style & Amenities" only spefic questions have been asked. In my review I will , therefore cover general information . Location is in the close by suburb.Away from city center.Without transportation be ready to shell out subtantial taxi fare Rooms were comfortable .Could do with little more illumination.Bathroom ok At reception we were told wi fi is free in the lobby.Paid in the room approx 8 euros for 24 hours. Wi Fi is still available in the room even without paymet . As one would ecpect it was very slow and connectivity erractc. Did not try paid wffi :-) Dining hall for group was slightly obscure and not easily spotted . Food ok . Having stayed in other Marriott otels , this one of not bad but far from Marriott standard . Average. .
Pool looked inviting. Rooms are modern, with everything you need. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar does a good gin and tonic with all the botanicals. Breakfast has all you need with the ubiquitous Nespresso machine.
Stayed at this hotel for my visit to Barcelona. The room was clean, I have no complaints about that. Breakfast was included, it was okay. Most of the staff speaks English and that was great. Everyone was friendly and went out of the way to help us. However, the wifi is horrible, it is almost non existent. It really put a damper on the trip, I was not able to check in for my flight the next day. I used this hotel for my vacation, the metro is within walking distance and you can take the metro downtown quickly and easily from this hotel. We took the S2 to Placa Cataluyna and then the hop on hop off bus.
This is a real good business hotel. Located in Sant Cugat near the business park. Rooms are cosy and quite big. Service is excellent! Restaurant has some good dishes, and a lot of choices. Do check out early, it can take some time at rush hours. Don't worry about taxi's, they are in front of the hotel. It's a small distance to the center where you have some good restaurants
Great hotel for business trips. Always clean and tidy. Menu is limited and beer very expensive, but only a minute's walk from the train station and 5 minutes into the centre of Sant Cugat, where there are a great many brilliant and cheap places to eat.
Stayed for 2 nights this last month with a friend. Room was a tad smaller than expected. Staff was not very friendly. Not great if you are planning to visit the city centre as quite a distance from it. Positive thing is that train station is about 5 mins walk. Had breakfast which was average. Will i stay here again, probably not.
Stayed for one night in and was very impressed. I stopped at reception at 07:30 AM to drop my bag before attending a conference and was told the room was ready and I could Check in. I ate some food at lunch time and this was also very good quality. Rooms are minimalistic in design but are warm and conformable. The only thing to improve this hotel is to have some English language TV programs.
Stayed here due to proximity to the office for 3 nights. Nice and friendly staff and quite helpful with queries. My rate included breakfast which was quite decent, in fact, for European hotels it was quite good. The restaurant in the hotel - was decent in terms of other food served ( quality/choice etc.)- and with good staff, but found it strange that it was completely shut down on a national holiday ( we had to order Pizzas from outside !). Perhaps its a local law thing- but possibly we should have been informed earlier. Rooms were decently sized and toiletries were nice ( especially the golf ball shaped soaps). But wi-fi was slow and signal was weak- which is kind of unheard of - in today's day. Fitness centre is small, and just about adequate. I assume this is a 3 star Marriott- equivalent to the Hampton Inns- and so from that perspective ticks the boxes. Certainly no complaints about the staff, but in terms of infrastructure and some other planning needs some work Worth staying if your office is in the vicinity. Otherwise if you are visiting Barcelona- this wouldn't be one I would pick- due to the distance ( though as far are room rates go- quite competitive)
Sant Cugat area is crowded with companies and offices - if you are not able to spend the night in the city, AC hotel is the best option you can have here. Rooms are big (the shower is great, a square of 3 sqm!) bed is comfortable WiFi is free and a good breakfast also included in the price. During the summer you can have a bath in the external pool.
