The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train, which is 25 minutes to downtown. The hotel is decent, with an ok size room, good breakfast and fairly clean. The internet is really painful in the rooms, but if you go to the lobby, it's a bit better. There's a small restaurant in the hotel, but the better food is in a restaurant right outside the hotel. This hotel seems to be dominated by business travelers more than families. Again good for the money.
The support by the local staff was excellent, yet I found the carpets quite dirty overall. The location is good for its price advantage, i.e. there are a direct train to Plaça de Cataluña and the highway nearby, and the breakfast as well as the parking are free.
We arrived early following our flight. I asked if we could store our bags until check in. We were greeted by jordi who allowed us to check in straight away. This was a huge help he then proceeded to give us information about both the local area and the city. What a welcome!!! Breakfast was good and the room was kept spotless everyday. We were very impressed with the service at this hotel and would highly recommend it. We had a fab time enhanced by the staff.
Stopped for five nights from 22/07. Great location. Tube really easy to get two and five minutes to centre of barcelona. 15 minutes walk to beach. Loads of local spanish restaurants close by. Staff very helpful for local knowledge. Laura was very helpful and very good as I was travelling with two young kids. Clean rooms and in all a good hotel .
Visited Barcelona on a vacation with my boyfriends family. I am IHG Plat members so I like stay mainly at IHG hotels. This hotel was the closest to city center and where I was able to use my points. So few points: Kids Everywhere: hotel was extremely busy. Kids were running around crazy in the lobby and breakfast area. Security guard is in the lobby but didn't do much about the chaos. Check in: there was a guy that was a trainee working the desk. He was very polite and trying to check us in as swiftly as possible. We checked in around 3pm. Needed 2 rooms with 1 bed. Housekeeping hadn't put in clean rooms in the system yet and the manager had to call and find out what was going on. Check in ended up being delayed at least 20 min. Hotel check in is a 2pm. Hotel Room & amenities: room was very dated. Bed sheets were rough. Reminded me of sheets from a hospital bed. Requested extra towels and they were very stingy on my request. Wifi was extremely slow. drained my cell phone battery. Hair dryer, they need to get rid of. So slow. Barely worked. Pull out sleeper sofa fabric was falling apart. Wished the hotel had a mini refrigerator. Breakfast: 2 words. Mad House!!! Was just crazy packed and was not in order. Wish there was a better variety of food. Was very heavy on breads. Public areas: hallways need to be redone. There was a black line from housekeeping carts that went all down the hallway on our floor. Looked awful. There was also a garden or patio area that you were able to see from the elevators. Suggestion to put plants or pool in that area to make the atmosphere more appealing. Check out: requested both of my rooms to have a 2pm check out at check in. They told me that was fine. When I confirmed my late check out on my check out date, I was Told only 1 room can be granted the late check out. I understand that this is based on availability but the staff really needs to communicate better with each other so they don't tell guest 2 different things. Also check out was rough. Had to wait for 20 min for a second employee to come out and help the other agent out since she was checking in another guest. The lady that came out to help was not very strong either working the system. Took a while for her to figure out how to print me a receipt for my reservation. I am in the hospitality/hotel industry. I actually work for IHG. When you stay at an IHG hotel, you should always feel welcome and the warmth of the hotel. I was not impressed. Hotel needs some updating and also stronger employee training. Will not recommend staying at this hotel.
Clean room besides the carpet! Kind reception. Wifi works a bit slow so the need a bit of an upgraded! Strongly recommend to have a tap in the bar in front. Very kind, good quality tapas and nice to be able to sit outside on the terrace. And very reasonable price.
I had a conference outside of Barcelona in Sant Cugat and stayed here for 4 nights. I was really surprised at how clean and comfortable this hotel is. I was at first surprised at how busy it is, but later came to realize that this hotel is one of the few in that area. The rooms were larger than I usually get when in Europe, with a good sized bathroom as well. Access to the rail line was easy from the hotel, if not a little bit off the path behind a hospital. If I had to make the same trip again, I would stay here without any hesitation.
A bit out of the way in an industrial area. Swift check in by Maria who gave me a fine room (523). Very quiet and away from the lift. Room was very updated and very clean. Bed was great and I had a fine sleep. Bath very nice and clean with new towels too. Flat screen and had BBC - my Spanish doesn't go far. Breakfast was fine too. Fine stay and for a night - or a few nights on business I will surely be glad to use it again.
We stopped in this hotel on the way from Andorra to Valencia and really enjoyed our stay. Free parking, free wifi, very comfortable bed and soft bedding, had a good night sleep. The room was of a good size and clean. Our only complaint was the dinner service in the restaurant - the food was so bad that we wanted to cry! €20 wasted.. If you can, avoid the restaurant in the evenings at all costs - eat before coming to the hotel or go somewhere else in the area for a meal (if you have a car).
I stayed in this hotel for 4 days I was robbed ROBBED OFF MY BAG in the hotel itself and they did nothing , I lost 4000 euros , my passport , my I.D , credit cards and my whole 20 day trip was spoilt , I was robbed inside breakfast area 1. No security guard in hotel - any one can walk in & out without anything asked 2. No staff in dining area - any one can walk in & eat without even staying @ hotel 3. Only 1 person in Reception to take care of all guests check in and out 4. Far away place - this hotel is situated in a Isolated place on a highway , no taxis available , to walk to nearest metro also U need to walk inside a Isolated forest kind of place where I haven't seen a single person walking in 4 days .. Cleanliness is ok but as a traveller 1st and foremost thing we look is security ... which is not there and also I think the Hotel is solely responsible for my loss as even so called police in spain is useless & will not help as we r tourists & not citizens of Spain . I would request all readers kindly do not visit this place even though this is last place available in Barcelona to stay ...
