Wonderful experience . The rooms could benifit from revamping their air conditioner system and the restaurants need to have ample supplies for attending guests , but overall the stay was wonderful, the staff were exceptional and the entire resort was very clean

3rd time at the Crane ......wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the world class facilities

From the welcome smiles to the goodbye waves the staff was the best. The room was fabulous with all the amenities including a four post bed, marble bath with Jacuzzi and wonderful views from our balcony. (The photos on the web site show exactly what you will get- no surprises) The grounds were meticulously groomed along with the exquisite pools. Everyone one was friendly- the village market place was a great place to shop the employees were extremely helpful. And the beach- absolutely beautiful -white sands with emerald water. All throughout the property, which you must explore, there is one breathtaking view after another. Loved my entire stay. One note about getting into Barbados- beware the long wait to get through customs at the airport. Other than that- once you get to The Cranes it all a dream...

This was my second time staying at The Crane and as usual, it did not dissapoint. The staff is super friendly, polite and hospitable. Our room was perfection and contained a private terrace, pool, and view of the beach.

Beautiful resort with many amenities. The staff is amazing and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The restaurants are great and they even have a carribean BBQ night. Beautiful beach and gorgeous views from all around the resort. We enjoyed the live entertainment at night in the village and will definitely be going back soon

Barbados is a wonderful place for families and couples. Everyone on the Island was very friendly. Safe place to visit. Worth every dollar spent.

The room was fantastic. The only issue we had was that we were at the Crane during off season and found that shops and restaurants had limited hours and no signage indicating that especially when certain restaurants were closed for several days.

Our flight got in at 8:30 pm. We got to our hotel at 9:30 only to find that there was no restaurants open, couldn't order food from the bar, no room service, couldn't even get a bag of chips and a soda. No food petiod, unless we wanted to pay a cab to take us 15 minutes to the closest restaurant. The next morning it stated room service for breakfast started at 8am. I called at 8:02.....no answer. Called at 8:10....no answer. Finally called front desk that transferred me to restaurant. Ordered my food at 9:05 still no food. Called restaurant again. They said they lost it and it would be there in 15 minutes. Finally get at 9:35 it is delivered and it was missing 2 items from the continental breakfast. That was brought up by 9:45 and we weren't charged for the breakfast. We had 10 am meeting with concierge got there at 10:05 because our breakfast was way late only to find out no one in the concierge area knew about the 10 am meeting welcoming the guests and letting them know what was available to us. So around 10:20 two concierge people sat with us and basically just answered our questions about what we already knew. And this all happened within 13 hours of us getting to property....very very disappointed. So we asked why no places were open for us to order food once we arrived after our 3.5 hour flight. They said oh you came in on American. You should have ordered it before you got here and had it waiting in your room. Okay I emailed 4 different times and called 3 times before we got there about transportation from the airport to the property and it was never mentioned to us! We also spoke with 2 other couples that this happened to also and they were not happy either. Another issue was the availability of food. They have 4 restaurants on property, one closed for construction, one was only available if you were dressed to the nines, and the other 2 were hit and miss on when they were open. So we decided to go off property to eat the 3rd day we were there. We picked out the restaurant and asked concierge how long it would take to get there she didn't know she had to goggle it. Seriously this island is smaller than most major cities in the us and she didn't know how long it would take to get there?!? Once she had an answer she told us and we said okay we would like to go there. She just stared at us like okay so I asked if she would call to get us reservations and a cab. We told her we wanted to go now so she called the restaurant made the reservation and then looked at us like okay you have reservations...go. I said and the cab? She rolled her eyes and summoned a cab. Her job is to take of the people staying there and it was liking pulling teeth to get her to do her job. The best service we received while we were on the island was from the cab drivers. They were full of info and extremely friendly. I had a massage for my birthday and that was amazing. The night before we left we paid our extras billed to the room and set up for a cab to be waiting for us at 4:45 am so that we could catchat our 6am flight. We get to the office were they are going to pick is up and no cab. Security had to call him. Thankfully another cab was just waiting in the parking lot so we went with him. For being best resort on the island I was not impressed....hate to see what the second best was like.

We got a ridiculous deal on a 1 bedroom ocean view room for a week. The place was huge, immaculate, and wonderful. The only complaint I had was that it's very far from everything else. But Crane beach made up for it in my opinion. Simply Stunning. They also should invest in hot tubs, the place was lacking because of it. And it was very quiet which is what we wanted, but it was very quiet. Pools were great, food was pretty good. Staff was overall nice but not super outgoing. No one says hi to you when you pass. But it's very nice. Much better than staying somewhere like the Hilton.

The property at the Crane with its magnificent architecture, has a garden-like atmosphere, calming and serene from the moment you walk start your walk about the grounds and throughout. The bridges a part of this garden scenery, and the blue water beneath adds to its beauty and a spectacular reminiscence of a fairy tale. Its quite therapeutic indeed and certainly aids in relaxation. I can't say enough about the Crane, and Oh! I can't forget the fish pond filled with colourful fish. Staff at the Crane are very helpful and enthusiastic about helping guests whether its about finding directions or curiosity about the Crane, staff are very helpful to find answers, but are also friendly. Staff appears to truly enjoy their work here and their pleasant countenance suggests the same.

The staff at the crane is the friendliest we have ever encountered. We had the greatest experience. We definitely want to return to beautiful Barbados and stay at the crane again.

Stayed at the Crane with my wife on a trip with other family members. The Crane is a great Hotel although at the time i was there was still more construction going on, no workers during my stay. Its very large like a small town, some of the rooms have pools, which we did not get but in my 10 days there i only saw maybe 2 people use theirs. Plenty of restaurants to choose from but we ate many times at a small family restaurant down the street, walking distance, much cheaper and a different vibe. the negative is that the Crane is a good distance away from many of the happenings on the island and we rented a car at the start and on some days caught the city bus which was not a bad experience. Overall a great hotel for a romantic get away but if you want to enjoy the island scene then it is a bit far away. the beach at the Crane is also great.

Enjoyed 10 days and had a great time! Firstly, the staff was great! They were very accommodating and helped to make a fun birthday for one our kids. We found the room to be quite spectacular and had a great view. We really enjoyed our penthouse and loved the plumeria trees. The grounds were well maintained and the restaurants were definitely A+. We would have loved to spend more time on the beach but apparently, the seaweed was our deterrent. We tried, but swimming in seaweed is not much fun. Having to travel to other beaches was not in the plan- we would have appreciated knowing about the beach shuttle to other beaches versus paying for the taxi. Seems to be that we found this out at the end of our stay from other guests. Overall, the Crane is a very beautiful place to stay- the area is more quiet than the other side of the island. I may consider this for the next visit as the other areas of the island offer more for the kids in terms of activities and not having to travel as far. We found the Crane to definitely be a great value and I would recommend it.

I have to say that staying at the Crane was such an awesome experience! I absolutely loved my 3BR Penthouse suite with plunge pool! It was so private and roomy and all my guests were very comfortable and felt at home. I definitely would recommend this hotel and this particular suite to anyone who is visiting Barbados. Spectacular view and amenities

Enjoyed this as much as we possibly could, and we will be going back.

Great hotel and service. The grounds are well kept. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a rum punch. The rum punch was the best, started our trip just right. We stayed in the garden suite, love that area of the hotel. Was able to see the Barbados green monkeys everyday from our balcony. We were there in December so, we were able to hear the local school children sing Christmas songs at night in the square. What a great treat, the children were awesome.

The Crane was great! A little far from island activities but nothing a short taxi ride couldn't fix. Would definitely stay here again. Food was a bit expensive but there's a grocery store near and we had a full kitchen.

Property was secluded and gorgeous. Designed to be a little town with quaint shops, beautiful landscapes and very clean. As we traveled sound the southern part of the island we realized that where we were was perfect. Many hotels closer to Bridgeton gave more of an urban feel. The Crane felt more in the country. Since I relied on guest reviews for my purchase I have to add the minor critical details which would not deter us from staying there again. Cons: Internet access in the room was not good, housekeeping cleaned but didn't dust, no oven in the suites, seaweed on the beach but they worked hard to clear it and this part of the island the waves are rough. You will get tired of the food and restaurants so take taxi to supermarket and go shopping like you are home. Overall we loved it and would only recommend this property in the south area. West coast was also upscale and the water was calmer.

Great for families with babies, plenty of space, great pools and good restaurants. Just don't expect a calm ocean on this side of the island

Great hotel, lovely beach. Friendliness of employees inconsistent, food good. rooms are perfect for a family. was latwe told hotel offers an all inclusive. Would recommend.
