Wina is excellent located and a pretty well kept basic hotel. The pool, rooms and breakfast are ok. Some remarks: bathroom is old, towels for the pool are provided with labourious admin, music at pool and restaurant differ so you hear 2, towels are spotted, breakfast ends with hard stop at 10.

We were delighted at the location of the resort.Just 100 Meters awy from the Kuta beach and well connected with everything the traveller required.Everything insde was delighting the unique style cottage the restaurant and the swimming pool .But one thing was missing ,No Indian cuisine available and we had to rely on the Malaysian Cuisene

Disappointing stay since visit last year. Cons: old sheets/towels, poor flushing toilet, some unfriendly staff, sub standard breakfast with same old food every day - nice pastries last year but none this year, renovations being done atm so noisy, renovations being done on next door land, poor wifi in & out all the time, back pool needs renovation, only 3 pillows between 2 people & if you want another one it's 10,000 rp per day!, power points loose (dangerous?), rotten smells from drains throughout the property (we were lucky this time it was not in our room!) Pros: location, pretty gardens, good air con, room service quick & food was ok Will definitely NOT return. There are much better hotel choices nearby for similar price Eg: Adi Dharma or Fourteen Roses where we have also stayed. That's the bottom line. There should be NON Smoking areas throughout ANY hotel for those of us who are sick and tired of inadvertently forced to be passive smokers. Smokers can be so inconsiderate.

When booking the accommodation, we had certain small requirements: * Had to be in Kuta. It was the first time I have stayed in the Kuta area in over 7 trips to Bali! * The accommodation had to be near the beach, preferably that we could just cross the road. * We wanted something that would be a less "boxed" hotel (most of the modern hotels have the rooms in a U shape with the pool in the middle) We were after something more traditional, which the Wina was. * Something with breakfast included. * wanted something that was on the budget end of the scale. We knew what we would be paying and made allowances for the quality and standard for the price we paid. What we received... Due to the late arrival of our flight, we only arrived at the hotel at 3am. Check-in was quick. We were escorted to room 234, however when we walked in the room had 2 single beds. We asked for a double bed and were moved to room 329, on the 3rd level. No lifts at this hotel, so to note for people with accessibility issues. The room was fine. Clean. The bathroom, the tub had what appeared to be rust holes, but nothing that was discouraging. The toilet didn't flush that well. You had to only flush 1/2 way or it would flush at all. The water pressure in the room can be a bare minimal sometimes, especially during the peak of the morning. The hot and cold buttons were the incorrect way around. The towels we received were rather worn and and in dire need of replacement. No hairdryer in the room. The WIFI in the room was spotty. You had to sometimes stand out on the balcony or a particular corner of the room for it to work. Water bottles was supplied daily. TV worked fine. The safe in the room didn't work however. We stored some money in a locked part of our bag. When we returned one afternoon, money was missing. At the end of the day, we could point fingers but it was really our fault for not going down to reception to have a correct working safe. At 4am one morning, we were awoken thinking someone was trying to break into the room. It was then realised something was moving around in the roof. The sound was loud, a scuffle sliding sound of what could only be described as a rather large animal. It scurried away once we knocked the wall loudly. Talking of loud, we had an interconnecting room. During our stay, the next room was unoccupied, except for the last 2 nights. The first night, the neighbours were extremely loud settling into their room. So loud, I could hear them talking and chewing at 12am! So, if your a light sleeper, maybe request a room that doesn't have an interconnected door. The breakfast was okay. I expected this for the price we paid. Coffee was fine. Basic toast, fruits, juices and Asian food. Egg station, which was fine. No meat however, not even beef bacon. 2 pools at this resort, both have a swim up bar. Easy to obtain a towel, small library area and drink prices are reasonable. If you can request a room on ground level, around the pool- these seems to be popular and of a better standard. Popular with returning hotel guests, as we overheard from guest we chatted to around the pool. The hotel had a long front entrance and had a back entrance, which we only worked out a couple days into our stay. The grounds are beautiful, well manicured and looked after. You don't hear any traffic from the street or any night noise. It is a little oasis in a busy part of Bali. For the price we paid, the accommodation was perfect. When booking, I feel you have to be realistic with the rates verses the standard. Would I stay here again? Maybe. I would perhaps look at an upgrade in room type next time however.

Wina is located in the center of the Kuta beach-area. A private alley brings you to the beach and the bussy Pantai-Kuta street. Via the back entrance you can get to shops and restaurant in the other part of Kuta and Legian. The Beachwalk shopping mall is also just a short walk from the hotel. As this hotel is located in Kuta-beach center, there are many restaurants and shops on the beachside and at the backside of the hotel. So the location is excellent and the price is ok for a hotel in this prime location. The rooms in the hotel are clean, pretty basic but has all the things you need including sandals, safe, kettle, filled fridge etc. Rooms are a bit darkish inside as they have tinted glass (against sun and inlookers, i guess) and lighting at the work desk could be improved. There is a typical odour in the bathroom which you find in many bali-hotels. It is a mix of sewer-smell and parfumed toilet-blocks. The room has a balcony or terrace with a seating area. There is a restaurant that is open all day and serves breakfast. The breakfast is basic with asian and western choices and an eggstation. Foodprices in the restaurant are very moderate! Rooms are situated around the two pools and one garden. Hotel is in balinese style. Wifi is free and speed is average. There are no elevators, so you have to use stairs if your room is on the first or second floor. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

A very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Has two pools and rooms are very comfortable. Would return and stay for another holiday. Only thing they don't do.is cocktails at the bars so wouldn't recommend a all inclusive package.

will never stay or recommend to anyone to stay. best thing about the whole hotel was the pool. Room wasn't ready on check in, other room smelt like sewage, moved rooms 4 times. dirty linen. Asked for extra pillow and got told to pay for it. No bacon at breakfast. Wifi was woeful Staff were helpful.

Very good hotel with fine staff. Perfect spot in Kuta! You can walk to all shops and restaurants and beach in a few minutes. Two pools clean rooms good beds and nice breakfast. We'll be back for sure in this hotel

Stayed for 1 night, we arrived @3am there was two staff in the reception, made everything easy for us. They showed us around the room where is what etc. Room is average but clean :) The villa itself is beautiful, so much plants and it's so breezy! My partner and I favourite part was the buffet and the staff is very helpful and friendly!

Good location hotel with Poppie 1 and 2 within walking distance. Waterbom park only 2km away. Bathrooms in hotel rooms in serious need of renovations, and lighting in rooms not up to scratch. Can stay in better places for same money. Breakfast very average with small selection. Most equipment in fitness centre broken.
