We booked the "Deluxe garden room" and we were really disappointed. The room was very old (I guess no renovation since the 80's), the mattress was also very old and uncomfortable and the room smell to cigarette smoke. The room was on the fourth floor so no garden just a tiny balcony. The name of the room is just misleading, no deluxe and no garden... The hotel beach was good and the breakfast was also nice. All in all I won't recommend this hotel as for the same price you can get much better options in Sanur.

It's a bit expensive for a hotel in the area, and it's also pretty busy! However it's got all the facilities you might want, and it's on the beach. We stayed just two nights, as Sanur to end our trip.

This is our first visit to Bali and chose the Prama Sanur Beach Hotel as it had good reviews and we were not disappointed. The location was great, close enough to restaurants and shopping. Taxi's are cheap should you want to go further afield. The hotel is literally on the beach front which is sandy and very clean, served well by the hotel bar and restaurant so you don't even have to move. Staff are attentive and we had no complaints during our week there. One minor thing to mention is that the aircon was not very effective in our room even on the highest setting but we got used it so wasn't a big deal. Overall a very good holiday and will probably be back.

Some rooms are beautiful (Club Rooms) others not so good, lovely grounds with beautiful gardens, ponds (and ducks 🦆) oh and cute little squirrels Right on the beach with a cool Bamboo Bar and couches on the beachfront.

It was great stay with Prama Hotel. So far this was the best hotel i had with my family in Bali. The location was near the beach, restaurants nearby to this hotel. We also did some water sports offered by Wayan.

My family and I, with two girls aged 7 and 2, stayed for a week at the Prama Sanur Beach Bali. From the very first day, both girls visited the Kids Club for several hours each day. We were all completely well before we came. But on the 5th day of stay, our older girl developed a very high fever. On the 7th day, our younger girl developed a similar fever. My husband also developed fever with the second girl. So three of us fell ill. Following fever, the vesicular (blistering) rashes on the hands and feet appeared, together with small white ulcers in the mouth. We are both medical doctors and we immediately diagnosed Hand Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD), which has a typical incubation period of 3-5 days, even as low as 2 days. Now neither girls' schools had any HFMD recorded for the preceding few months (and our schools are absolutely obsessive about identifying cases and preventing HFMD transmission, and so are our educational authorities) and we know that day-care centres and kids' clubs all over the world are prime hot spots for transmission of infections from even one sick child attending. We are, in our professional opinion, in no doubt that the two girls came down with HFMD from their use of the kids' club at this resort and they then passed it to my husband. The probability of it coming from elsewhere, whether prior to our arrival or during our stay, is vanishingly small. If we had reasonable doubt about the source of the infection, we would not so clearly point to the Prama's kids' club. We would not want to be unfair to the resort. But we are all but absolutely certain that this is where it came from. The three are now recovering slowly, but all activities have been curtailed some time.We report this in good faith to help Prama management, so that they can improve on the hygiene standard in the kids' club for the safety of future guests. Apart from this HFMD issue, we would like to say that the Prama is a lovely resort with very helpful and cheerful staff and in a great location on Sanur Beach. We enjoyed the direct sea view from our 4th floor room and watched the gorgeous sunrise every morning sitting on our balcony. The grounds are lush and green and the two large pools are superb. The children's pool has slides and fountains which the kids loved. The beach in front is lovely. The resort is surrounded by lots of options for food and drink, shopping and spa services, yet not too crowded or congested. We would love to come back, but we hope that the management will seriously take note of the problem we faced with HFMD contracted from their kids' club. We recommend that children are screened on arrival for fever and examined for hand, foot and mouth lesions, so that ill children are asked not to attend. From our experience, no such screening took place at the club. Such processes are in place at all high quality child care centres, kindergartens and kids' play rooms and we highly recommend that Prama management also implements these. We also recommend that at the end of each day, all the surfaces of all the furniture and equipment in the club are wiped down with disinfectant solutions. It is contact with body fluids left on these items by sick kids that is the cause of transmission of many viral diseases, including HFMD, but also influenza, the common cold or even diarrhoeal diseases. We hope that Prama management will take our advice and assure us and all other guests that such infection risks in the kids' club will be minimised for the safety of all guests of the resort. When we have such an assurance, we will be willing to come back again.

This Hotel is at the end our the Main Street in Sanur, really relaxing and the buffet breakfast is great with a huge variety to choose from. The 2 pools are lovely, the main pool is huge with a swim up bar also. Only negative I had was the Beach Beds, guests put their towels on them very early morning and reserve them all day so there are none left! Unless you are up at 7am you will miss out on a spot at the beach. I think this should be monitored a bit more by staff... Other than that it was great. Hire the bikes from Prama and ride all the way up along the Sanur Coast line to see some gorgeous scenery. So pretty!

This hotel sits in a large plot of land and has direct access to Sanur beach. It is a very big hotel, multi-storied and with many wings, some of which have been refurbished, others not. There are considerable distances to walk between bedrooms and restaurants/bars, a lot of the time outdoors which is not much fun when it rains. The Prama Sanur Beach appeals to sunseekers, often older people or families with children, who want to have everything on hand within the hotel compound. It is not suitable for those who want to have a quiet time. Business travelers may find the long queues for food at the self-service breakfast inconvenient as one has to wait quite a while to get served/serve yourself. The wing of the hotel in which I stayed was not recently decorated. The air conditioning functioned so-so, if I used the hairdryer provided in the bathroom it fused all the electrics including the lights in the bathroom. The main bedroom was pleasant, but there were not enough electrical power points for recharging/using electronic items. The staff tried hard in a professional way, and are well-trained, but this hotel does not feel like Bali to me.

Visited Sanur for 3 days and 2 nights. At Prama, the rooms were slightly old fashioned. but clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast has a massive array of dishes. The pools are clean and caters to the crowd. Prama occupies a huge shoreline where you can enjoy a number of activites (Surfing and the such). Only downside, very slow wifi. sometimes it gets onto your nerves. Over all, good choice!

My family with two young children stayed at the Prama Sabur Beach Bali Hotel in April 2017, for 6 nights. The location was fantastic, being right on the beach which has a gentle gradient. The resort is nestled among other resorts and a plethora of restaurants, shops, bars and spas. We love Sanur for it's old world, laid back feel, quite different from the frenetic sophistication of Seminyak or Canggu. The traffic here is also really light most of the time and we never had any of the dreadful traffic jams we have experienced elsewhere. We had a fourth floor room with direct views of the pool and the beach. It was lovely waking up early to experience the sunrise in the cool of the morning. The two pools were of very good size, with one of them designed for children and featuring an artificial beach and a set of straight and helical slides that the children loved. The staff were more than friendly and helpful and we wanted for nothing. There was a well equipped kids' club to give parents some respite. Their spa is called Aroma and is by the beach. It has a comprehensive range of offerings, but we found them expensive by Bali standards. The hairdresser off the lobby did a great job cutting our kids' hair. They also provide Balinese massage at a fraction of the price of the main spa. If there is any negative point about the Prama, it is their food. We ate breakfast there only once and never again. We found it expensive for what was offered at the buffet . It was clearly mass catering with featureless cooked food, limp waffles, dry pancakes and the lowest grade of jams possible (the type that looks like coloured gel with absolutely no fruit inside of it). The butter was served in cubes cut out of presumably a catering block and on a plate it rapidly became an unmanageable semi molten mess. The egg station was perhaps the best, managing to cook eggs perfectly without queues building up. There were endless reasonably priced options for breakfast along the beach or on the main street outside so we weren't stuck for choice. There was an Easter Sunday buffet lunch at the Italian restaurant. The food was reasonably good, but very expensive for Bali. The saving grace was that kids under 12 ate for free and there was an Easter party for kids, with egg painting, treasure hunt, bashing a pinata, gift bags and refreshments, all very well organised for the kids. Overall it was a good experience. We would come back to the Prama Sanur if we wanted another beach holiday in Bali.
