Stayed for a long weekend and had a good time. The rooms are a little run down and could do with an upgrade but they are clean and acceptable. Nice that they have 2 pools, one dedicated to kids with a sun cover and play things. Adult pool as a swim up bar although easy to get drinks round the pool and on the beach. There are plenty of beds on the beach and umbrellas. Breakfast was ok, everything you would expect. Some great bars and restaurants within a 5 min walk of the hotel, don't be put off by being at one end of the main drag.
We are currently staying at the prama sanur beach. We have 2 rooms, adjoining overlooking the gardens. The rooms are nice, beds a bit hard but clean. The hotel is in a fantastic location, so close to restaurants and bars. 2 really great pools, one with swim up bar. The kids pool play zone is under renovation, but when finished will be fun with water slides and fountains. We are staying for 5 nights before going to Legian for the balance of our trip. Sanur is very quiet in comparison to Legian and Seminyak, but is a good place to relax quickly at the start of a holiday. There are water activities which my sons aged 14 and 16 enjoy, including the donut.
What a fabulous place to have a relaxing holiday. The service is great, the food is great with many quality restaurants nearby as well. September weather is warm and not grossly humid and it's just awesome to laze on a lounge under big shady trees and just stop for a while. The inhouse massages are the best ever and it is a non family place just perfect for couples.
I slept only one night at room number 711, My friend told me that this room is the best to see sunrise, but I miss that opportunity.. because I feel good for slept. At this hotel breakfast menu is so simple but the taste is good. The cleanliness for this room is satisfied .. recommended.
This is a stunning resort, located on a beautiful beach. Our room which was actually a suite with a balcony( smoking allowed) (168) faced the back of the hotel with beautiful, well manicured gardens and featured lovely fountains. The staff are lovely, genuine people who are so friendly and helpful. There are 2 pools with sunbeds all around and you can swim up to the bar. A waiter service is provided around the pool and the beach though service is slow. You can get your towels from the towel shack but be warned, the beach sunbeds would get busy early. There are watersports along the beach, seperate from the hotel but as it is so cheap in Bali, you can try them all at a very reasonable price. We had complimentary tea/coffee making facilities in the room alongside several toiletries and dressing gowns. The bed was comfortable and spacious. There are plenty of places to eat, and they cover all food types so no one will be disappointed. Several of the restaurants have happy hours, the settings for a few of the bars/eateries are placed on the beach! Breakfast is plentiful, cooked or continental & a place to have various egg dishes cooked fresh. It is a resort you really dont need to leave, they have various lobby shops which have all sorts of souvenirs, a bank, Spa and an ATM. A great place with lovely staff, I highly recommend it.
Although I have been going to Bali since 1983, this was my first time staying at this hotel. Prama is set well back from the main street and is absolute beach front. Reception was very efficient and we quickly whisked to our home. We had a garden room with a good size balcony that overlook the adults pool then over the beach to the ocean so great spot. Breakfast was great, a huge variety to suit guests from most continents. I am a sucker for the full English and I am please to say the do real bacon here not the crackly crispy stuff favoured by people from the USA. I am happy to report that the latte/cappuccino coffee styles are available with breakfast at no charge. The Indonesia restaurant is undergoing refurbishment at the moment, but the breakfast area is being used for that at night. The is a gracious Italian restaurant food was excellent. They have a pizza bar which also does fish and chips snacks located next to the Bamboo bar right on the beach. Other goodies like the ice cream bar and a snack bar of local foods is available beside the beach, waiters will bring the food to you on the beach. There is also a cocktail bar that overlooks the lush gardens, they do any afternoon tea as well. Overall I am very impressed with the hotel itself and the staff are excellent. At the entrance to the driveway is a good variety of food options, see my other reviews of Sanur.
A huge resort, offering an incredible amount and variety of services. The garden and the beach are splendid and particularly cared for. A special mention goes to the completeness of (and the square meters dedicated to) the breakfast, absolutely one of the best I had in Bali. The only black spot is the Wi-Fi, it is a bit laggy, and, according to my experience, I it does not seem to adequately cover the huge extension of the resort.
This hotel complex is huge and the beach front location superb, as we walked along the beach front we were pleased with the choice and location of our hotel.Even through there were a few flasher places none had the nice beach access and great bar overlooking the sea. The hotel has little shops inside, hairdresser and a number of restaurants. Staff were super friendly although it did take longer to check in than expected. The rooms were a good size, huge beds and we had a balcony which overlooked the pool and garden. The hotel is older and this is evident in the woodwork and bathroom as it is a little rundown and rooms could do be a revamp to match the complex itself. The other issue was the lack of power points, no power points by the bed and I had to actually get in behind the TV on the wall to use the power point for charging phones, laptops etc and no plugs in bathroom.
The front desk staff were excellent and spoke very good English, which was a huge bonus. I was delayed checking in by about half an hour, so i was upgraded to a club room, which was magnificent. The resort has everything you might need. Huge pools, access to the beach, a great spa, water sports shop, push bike hire, lots of good restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet is very good. The rooms was very clean, with great facilities and really good aircon, which is important in Bali's wet season. I took an introduction to scuba lesson with the hotel dive school, ''rip curl surf school'' which i highly recommend. If you want a nice relaxing resort holiday, stay here. It's clean, well staffed, plenty of space and very inexpensive.
Our preferred hotel in Sanur. Spacious and well maintained garden and pool area. Friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant prices - especially the breakfast - are overrated. Erecore we chose external blames for breakfast. For those who like swimming in the sea all Sanur beach (not only in front of the hotel) is at low tide times ugly with many rocks and at those times cannot be used for swimming. Sanur beach
