We recently had a great 4 days here to end our yearly fortnight in Bali. The suite we had was spacious and fantastic for our family of 5. Breakfast good, location good, views good. The kids were so excited for what looked like a fantastic kids pool area, however I've gotta say the water play area is literally that slippery that you cannot for a second relax. I slipped on it, my 18 month old slipped and hit his head despite us following him like flys. We also saw numerous other kids slip every day. It's seriously the sort of slippery that could get someone hurt which prompted me to write this review. Also one of the 2 water slides was out of action the whole time we were there, and the big water bucket thing was also out of action. The kids pool was cloudy and dirty with floating bits of decomposed leaves and mound under the lip of the mushroom. It looks like a filtration problem to me which is concerning. Anyway the kids still had fun, as did we, and if these things were adressed we'd consider coming back for sure. I made management aware of these issues before we left.
Stayed here on July 2017 and it was a very great stay, the room was clean the hotel was great, pool was amazing, they have a private beach which is so gorgeous and clean. Breakfast okay and the restaurant/beac bar was good and surprisingly affordable, I had a chicken pesto pizza and that was delicious, my daughter loved it, the next day I ordered it again, must try! Don't forget to watch the breathtaking sunrise at the beach. At the very early morning, the hotel staff clean all the beach sand. the staff is helpful and nice. Very fast check-in and check out. Loved it so much and will come back for sure. Thank you Aerowisata.
The Prama Sanur is in a great location if you like bars and restaurants but not the hustle and bustle of Kuta. the hotel it's self could do with updating although this has started to happen. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are comfortable but could do with a makeover also and a good clean. pool and beach are amazing as are the hotel grounds. Breakfast has everything you can imagine and the coffee is good. Thank you Prama Sanur for a fab stay.
We live in Jakarta and stayed here following a recommendation from a friend. We love coming to Sanur anyway and find it much more family friendly for little ones (we had a 3 year old and a 6 week old) than Seminyak or Canggu. There was a lot we loved about this hotel. (1) there are 2 large pools including one with water slides for kids and cabanas that have perfect shade for babies. You can press a button for food/drink and the waiters come on rollerblades ;) (2) easy access to a clean beach and relatively clean sea which is calm enough to swim in. You can also walk along the beach promenade to other restaurants etc, which is also good for strollers or bikes (you can hire). (3) lots of places to eat including a beach bar (bamboo bar) that does amazing pizzas, cocktails etc & has nightly entertainment. The bar's also kid friendly so parents can relax whilst they make new friends & play together on the sand. For once we didn't eat every dinner in our room as we usually do with young kids. Rooms are a bit tired, especially the bathrooms, but most/all have balconies and ours had a wonderful sea view.
Just returned after staying a week at the Prama and it was a mixed experience. The staff were wonderful (as always in Bali) and the location superb. The first room were given did not have the requested seaview but we were upgraded instead. We would have stayed in this room but the wifi was unserviceable and despite 3 visits by a technician could not be repaired. As a result we moved rooms and this time had a pool / sea view which was nice. The wifi was still sadly lacking and kept on dropping out. The downside to this hotel is its age, the room are very tired and need to be upgraded / redecorated. We had the smell of cigarette smoke constantly coming into our room via the air conditioner which was very noisy and inefficient. As others have noted, the carpet throughout the hotel is old and stained and should be replaced. The kids pool was out of commission for a couple of days as it had gone cloudy which must have been a disappointment for those with small children. In summary, good staff and location but the hotel needs a serious update.
Me and my family perfectly satisfied with all staff here, im using prama sanur services for makes my dream comes true (wedding party in beachfront), the services is higher than my expectations, Ms. Cleary Wahyu Putri is one of the important person, she handles all my needed for wedding, she so kindness, and all foods here all so delicious, pecking duck is the best👍👍, numero uno... Thanks for the Chef, i love the scenery here, honestly im crying when im in home because i want to stay longer in bali, one of the reason is the scenery, the foods and the kindness of people here..overall im really happy, you just makes the most my important day becomes the best day ever... I love Prama Sanur Beach.. I love bali, really thanks for all of you guys😊😊, hope i can stay there in next time.. Amen 🙏🙏🙏
This was our fifth trip to Bali but the first staying in Sanur. We loved that it was quieter than Seminyak, that we were hardly hassled at all, just some very gentle come look at my shop requests, and the beach ( while not being an Australian beach) was quite lovely. The Prama was chosen on price ( just over A $2000 for 2 Deluxe garden rooms for 7 nights at peak time), location and family friendliness. Unfortunately we didn't get our interconnecting rooms, that I had requested when booking in December, and reminded the hotel about in 2 subsequent emails, but they did attempt to make amends by offering a family suite but the sleeping configuration didn't work for the ages of our kids. We did get upgraded to Club rooms at check in. These rooms had lovely rain showers and looked out onto the gardens. Pros - great location on the beach - very good security both from the street and beach - lovely staff- friendly and helpful - Free WiFi was excellent- best of all the places we have ever stayed. - great kids pool with water 2 small slides ( 3rd slide out of action). We always managed to get a cabana whatever time of day we went to the pool - lots of in hotel dining choices- Italian, poolside service on roller blades, Indonesian, Pizza, Ice cream, beach bar- the kids loved it all - hotel has a small drug store selling Panadol, bandaids etc - several small souvenir shops also in the hotel - hotel has a bank off the lobby- great rates for changing money, safe and secure - the Aroma spa on the beachside of the hotel is just lovely ( see seperate review) and well worth at least one visit- see discount coupon supplied at check in - free photo shoot and 2 free prints- coupon provided again at check in- we had fun doing this. Book for late afternoon when the light is at it's best. - beautiful lush gardens that are well cared for - hotel hosts buffet evenings with Balinese dance. We went to the Legong dance and Balinese street food on a Wednesday evening- extra cost. - free regular shuttle bus service to Hardy's supermarket- ask at reception for timetable - close to Popular supermarket- out the main entrance, past security, turn right and 5 minutes down on your right - lots of dining options just outside the hotel both beach and street side. - rooms serviced in a timely manner each day - on check in request the hotel activities list - we enjoyed watching the fruit carving display Cons - we didn't get interconnecting rooms that we had requested multiple times- if this is a game changer then I would suggest booking somewhere that guarantees interconnecting rooms or book a family suite to avoid the stress of having your children in a room alone. - the hotel, as many reviewers have noted, is an older property. While I loved that we were upgraded to Club rooms I think if I had paid A$ 4000 plus for these 2 rooms I would have been wishing we had stayed at a more modern property - buffet breakfast was fine but not special- lots of choices- soup, omelette station, cut up fruit, lovely pastry choice but very busy at popular times and not enough room to pass someone in the spaces between tables- some staff definitely more customer focussed than others - standard of room cleanliness could have been better- rooms felt like they could do with a spring clean Overall more Pros than cons for our stay. The kids particularly liked this hotel for the sandy beach, shade and kids pool with poolside food delivered by staff on roller blades being one of their stay highlights. I would happily stay here again with the kids, if we had interconnecting rooms guaranteed. It is a family friendly resort in a great location.
Truly relaxing place. Ticked all the boxes for me - everything in close proximity, non obtrusive staff but very helpful and friendly, relax and read on the beach - spread out and not noisy! If you want a holiday where you totally relax - this is the place. However if I was traveling with my teenagers they would have gotten board here!
Service very slow in all restaurants and rooms need a refurbish. Executive Chef in main buffet very rude and condescending toward customers We had interconnecting club room definitely not worth the price paid
After spending a week in bustling Kuta, we moved to sleepy Sanur (on purpose) for some beach R&R. This resort is in a wonderful location right on the beach - with almost no waves, and great snorkelling at low tide (for a small kid) without having to go out on boat - sea horses, fish, coral, starfish, sea urchins etc... The staff were wonderful, and Breakfast Buffet was delicious. However the resort is old, and looks it - carpet is stained, and even in the tiled area broken tiles have been "fixed" with a wedge of indoor carpet? The room décor was old - but the beds were big, and bathrooms lovely - even if the grout was a little stained. The rooms are HUGE for a "hotel" style room, with really good sized balconies - ask for a high level as there are often fireworks at night but you can't see them from lower levels. The resort is located down the south end of Sanur, and right outside the resort gates are lots of restaurants to choose from, and "spas" to get a massage. Also a lot of stalls to bargain for things - however not the same range as other locations like Kuta / Seminyak etc... There are 2 pools at this resort - one large pool that is huge with plenty of room to play in, and a Kids Pool - which on the whole is fine, but when we were there the kids water play area only had 2 small slides working - the other slide (which looked like the fun one) and water bucket wasn't working, and didn't look like it had been for a while. This made the benefit of a water play area for kids, not quite as appealing as we'd hoped. There are also super slippery tiles in the kids water play area that I'm sure could be fixed with some anti slip application - it looks to be pretty dangerous. I'd actually give this resort 3.5 stars (but can't on this rating system). The resort was fine, the staff lovely (as always!), the beach location wonderful and rooms big. It's just a bit tired, and needs real attention - not patch jobs.
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- Free parking
- Onsite dining
