Every staff member is friendly and helpful. Maria is the first person we met and she gave a fabulous welcome. Highly recommend this place to friends who travel solo because it is so safe. The pool is so relaxing,the bathroom toiletries are great quality and we slept so well in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was good too.Very pleas we chose Akaya to end our holiday on a high note

My daughter and I loved our stay at Akaya. Location is great with many great spas and restaurants within close walking distance. Beds were comfortable and we liked that there was milk supplied in the fridge and filtered water was available on site. Cafe Akaya made an amazing breakfast that was included in our stay. The coffee was great too. Only drawbacks were limited sun beds by the pool and rooms are quite small. Staff are friendly, helpful and so welcoming.

Centrally located and a short walk to the beach. Breakfast included was amazing with your choice served to you in the cafe or by the pool. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We did the discover scuba diving course and Eric our trainer was amazing. This holiday was relaxing and exciting, bringing new experiences and memories.

Very impressed by this hotel. Staff are so great, cafe and dive shop downstairs and right in the centre of shops and restaurants. Rooms decorated very nice and nice toiletries. Very nice indeed.

Property was great, 7-10 minute walk to the beach walk. More notably than anything was the staff. Maria at the front desk was nothing short of exceptional. Not only did she take time to help me whenever I needed anything, I saw her go way above and beyond to help several other guests with questions about the area to accomodations request. During my check in she was polite and very very knowledgeable. I also saw her handle some not so nice guests with incredible grace and poise, why she is working the front desk and not helping manage is a waste of talent. The other staff were amazing as well but can only speak on what I experienced and observed. Breakfast here was amazing. Location although not on the beach front was in a great location.

Wonderful time at the Akaya Bali. Small and quiet Hotel behind a dive shop. Staff could not be faulted. Worked hard to ensure we had everything we needed. Loved the area around the pool. Very relaxing. Occasional dive lessons going on in the deep end which did not disturb us. Had wonderful included breakfast in the cafe Akaya. Good choice. Cooked fresh to order - delicious. Small but comfortable room. Had all the amenities we needed for our week long stay. I would not hesitate in recommending this place to family and friends. Thank you Akaya Bali xx

The staff were really helpful, and the breakfast very good. But we had issues during our stay. While still fairly new, the hotel is showing signs of poor maintenance. Loose plumbing fixtures. Buckling floor boards in the room. Lights shorted out in the bathroom by the pool due to leaks from the floor above. On day two we discovered the lock on the room wasn’t working: door opened without use of key card. During rains the street flooded and the hotel put sandbags across the front. It was especially difficult to come and go, even during lulls in the rain. Not the hotels fault, but that’s why I only gave three stars for location.

Enjoyed my stay at the Akaya. Special shoutout to GM Made, who managed to clarify and resolve an issue on a sudden restriction of water supply to my room. Thank you for your professionalism and patience! Location is excellent with easy access to shops, spas, and if you dive, check out the dive shop in the property as well. Highly recommended stay!
