I always love Komaneka Monkey Forest. It is an excellent location to restaurants and shopping and then just a short few minutes walk from the main, quite busy, Monkey Forest Road, you have peace, quiet, and solitude of Komaneka Monkey Forest whose staff members are the epitome of service. Will stay here, again...and again. I do prefer the rooms with rice paddy views, but all of the rooms I have had have been wonderful. Please stay here.
My wife and I spent two nights at this hotel last week, and I wish we could have stayed for two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can not say enough good things about this hotel and staff quality. Everything was perfect - staff friendliness and efficiency, the hotel room furnishings, hotel location, hotel food, the swimming pool. The stay could not have been better. We would definitely stay here again!!!!!
Excellent property. Wonderful staff. Very good restaurant. Excellent spa. Wifi could be quicker. Noise from live band performances in the local area until midnight or so...bring ear plugs. Would definitely return.
Great location. Great service. Tranquility and peaceful. Yet close to restaurants, markets and much more. Beautifully done up place especially if you like nature. Just had two days there. A week too short.!
we travelled Bali for Holy Week as a family of 9 people. We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights at Komaneka at Monkey Forest as our topmost priority is Location and Luxury. With 2 seniors and 2 young kids, we wanted a place that is accessible to dining spots and shopping so we can leave the seniors and kids at the hotel while shopping. This branch of Komaneka offered very tranquil environment in a villa set-up (per room) that is in sync with nature. everything is raw, and organic in ambience.we have also viewed other Komaneka around but found this, together with the Rasa Sayang branch the most central. Breakfast is not buffet type but rather hot meals that will be ordered straight out of kitchen. Very courteous and personalized staff. We encountered some problems with 1 of the rooms in terms of air-conditioning, but they were able to address the issue instantly.they also offer free drop-off and pick-up in any place around Ubud which came to be very practical given that our young kids refuse to walk in the heat. We enjoyed our tranquil and relaxing stay, amidst the central location. Ubud Market is 5 mins walk and Monkey Forest is 10 mins walk
My husband and I spent a delightful three nights at Komaneka properties in late February. We had a pool villa at Komaneka Monkey Forest -- totally secluded, view of the jungle and gorge behind the hotel, absolutely tranquil, awakened to the sound of forest birds. Service and food excellent. We had planned to stay three nights but the hotel was having a "soft opening" of its newest property at Keramas Beach and the staff suggested we go there for one night. They put us in a gorgeous villa with a private pool overlooking the ocean. We had a fabulous dinner in the hotel dining room prepared by a talented chef who had trained at the famous Mosaic in Ubud. We were the only guests in the hotel on the night we stayed, so we had lots of staff to look after us. Altogether a delightful experience. We recommend both properties highly.
Impeccable service and awesome serene villas with private swimming pool. The rooms are extremely well appointed with a giant bathroom with separate bathtub in separate room, magnificent. The breakfast is superb & delivered every morning in the poolside inside the private villa as per order from the selected menu , just what you are looking for . There is also evening high tea with local delicacies served in the one & only serving place . The staff are too courteous & efficient. The location is just off the Main Street in Ubud & totally quiet & tranquil . One of the best resorts I have experienced.
We booked room 104, with private pool that overlooks a padi field. It is very relaxing and staff are fantastic. The customer service could not have been better. Our room provided us with everything we needed from toothbrushes to razors! The staff called us by our first names, which I actually liked and thought was refreshing. We took advantage of the sister resorts and have spent time in Bisma (that has an indoor gym and yoga room, infinity pool over looking the jungle) and Keramas (opened Aug 2017) that is right on the black sandy beach of the Indian Ocean, with a beautiful big swimming pool. There are five Komaneka resorts in total. Every other day we have taken a private hotel driver and planned full day excursions. They have completely looked after us whilst away from resort. The drivers are not tour guides, but are knowledgable of the area. Most breakfasts we’ve had in our room, and the odd dinner. Food at the hotel is superb. It is in a great location in Ubud, slightly noisy at night with the bars around, but doesn’t go on too late. I’d probably say if you had young children, probably best to stay at Bisma.
My wife and I stayed two nights in Ubud at the Komaneka at Monkey Forest - and absolutely loved it. Ubud is fascinating, and we should have scheduled for a longer stay (my bad), but the downtown is also slightly hectic. The Komaneka at Monkey Forest is nicely situated near the center of Ubud, yet as soon as you walk in the city melts away completely and relaxation sets in. The grounds are beautifully kept, the facility is lovely and the staff are warm and welcoming. This is a superb, quiet, elegant respite from the street activities. The Komaneka is a relatively small family-style resort. Our room was excellent - with a great, spacious bedroom, an excellent bathroom and a porch with a beautiful view (on to a rice field). The pool was a gem, clean, big, with a great view onto a forest. The grounds are lovely and nicely maintained. The restaurant was small (maybe 8-10 tables), with wonderful offerings for breakfast, tea and dinner. The chef, cooks and wait staff are delightful and very engaging. The food was delicious and nicely portioned for each of our meals. [On Chinese New Year, we ate at their sister hotel, Komaneka at Bisma (larger, and also excellent).] Most of all we loved the staff. They were wonderfully welcoming, helpful and gracious.
We visited Ubud (4 nights) and Nusa Dua (2 nights). Without question, the Komaneka at Monkey Forest was the highlight of our trip. The staff was unbelievably attentive, kind, and willing to go above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their care of our 15 month old was incredible. They made sure he was fed every meal, showed him around the kid friendly toys on the property, and let him feed the fish in the many ponds. Recommend the villa with the private pool and half board. Also, let the hotel book all transportation and extra activities. Their prices are so fair - you can't find it cheaper anywhere else and the quality of care is unmatched. We booked a car transport to the airport and wish we have left all the logistics up to Komaneka. They even arranged a beautiful lunch for us at the other property at Tanggayuda. Truly a special place and special group of people!
