Nice room, excellent outside facilities, constantly being cleaned. Very nice pools with lots of comfy chairs. Staff all very accommodating. Central area in Sanur with everything walking distance. Great beach dinners.

The hotel room was pretty standard (deluxe) and had a crazy oversized shower ( that really didnt serve much purpose being that big) but the grounds at this hotel were spectacular. 3 beautiful and varied pools, particularly the middle tropical pool ( no pictures do it justice!). A lovely beach front pool with swim up bar and seperate shallow pool and a smaller heated pool at the rear of grounds. There were a good number of lounges and plenty on the beach front. Beach is ok. Clean and pleasant temperature but large areas of weed and rock but still comfortable for swimming. The hotel offered a fantastic shower room for those with late flights. Towels, toiletries and hairdryer. Very convenient. Staff very helpful and regularly cleaning and maintaining grounds. Reception staff good english and knowledgeable. The towel "rule" was a bit frustrating. You required a room card to get pool towels and didnt get it back til you gave back your towel at the pool. I assume due to towels being taken but a bit of a hassle when u are at pool and need to go back to your room dripping wet with no towel. Sure there is a better solution?? We didnt eat at the hotel instead chose local restaurants and night markets but menus looked nice and reasonably priced. Sanur was fairly quiet at the time we were there so hotel not over crowded. Overall a really pleasant stay

This was our second stay at Griya Santrian and we came back because it had everything we wanted for a break away from kids and we had a great experience the first time. The hotel is in a good location and has beautiful gardens and settings. The pools (3 of them) are great. The restaurants are great with western and Indonesian options, there is a nice buffet breakfast. We stayed in a delux room (both times) which was nicely appointed, basic but had everything you needed. The bathroom was quite new. We loved being here, we stayed around a the pool and beach most of the time. You could lay on the beach beds and then walk 10m and jump in the pool. The beach is swimable too so is nice to have both options. They would come around and serve you at both the beach and pool. The staff were all very nice and helpful. A very relaxing holiday and we would definitely go back again.

The older rooms closer to the beach get a slight breeze along the walkways and balconies - often much needed. The newer buildings further away from the beach have no breeze so can feel quite warm walking from one part of the hotel to another. There are three pool areas, the largest is closet to the hotel designated beach. Sand on this side of Bali is whiter and there is a coral reef not far offshore. Breakfast is average. Tax is on the high side at 21%. Walking for miles up and down the promenade is made easier with a pathway past shops, restaurants and other hotels. Sunrises can be colorful or grey depending on the weather. Usually Mount Agung is in view first thing in the morning. The hotel is close to some great restaurants on the main drag. Would we come back to stay? Most likely yes.

Rooms were very large, and fairly basic. Beds were solid, balcony. Don't have a room too close too the pool to avoid noisy drinking ozzies. Three pools, all a bit small if you like lengths, but great if you want to sit around. Breakfast choices were good. Free wifi.

I have travelled the world quite extensively from Hawaii to China, Norway to Mauritius and many places in between and stayed in some excellent (and some not so excellent hotels) this is the BEST I've stayed in anywhere, even better than some 5 star places I've stayed. It is a beautiful resort style hotel. We had one of their suites (I think they are the biggest rooms) and it was very, very spacious and beautifully furnished. The bed was super comfy and TOTALLY FABULOUS pillows (they are soft so may not be to everyone's liking but I loved them, perfect for me as I have down pillows at home). The grounds are amazing and so well maintained, paths are washed down daily and the fallen leaves and flowers from the tress swept regularly (the flowers look lovely at first as the lawns and paths look strewn with confetti, but they soon wilt and die and would not look good if left; hence they don't leave them) The 3 pools are fabulous and the sun loungers super comfy. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the included breakfast very good. Food and drink prices were not much different to those outside the hotel (same at the hotel we stayed at in Ubud, so perhaps its a Balinese thing?) Anywhere else in the world that I've stayed a 4 star hotel would charge a lot more than local restaurants (often double!!) so well done for being competitive; consequently we ate in the hotel more than we would normally have done. Oh and our room had lovely cotton 'robes' provided. I cannot praise this hotel enough it was wonderful and we had a fabulous 7 nights stay here.

I stayed hear two nights. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The property was gorgeous. The rooms were nice. Great water pressure in the shower. Excellent beach and pools. My only complaint is the wifi was horrible. If you need to get work done it won't happen here. Seems unexceptible in 2017.

I had the salmon with grilled vegetables and potatoes. There was also a creamy white sauce. Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced. I don't like undercooked seafood, and they cooked the salmon all the way through perfectly. I would go back here again.

On my third visit to Bali staying in Sanur was a first. The Griya Santrian was the perfect place to stay. A traditional hotel with good facilities, clean and spacious rooms. The staff were pleasant and attentive. We did not eat there as there are many good restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We fell in love with Sanur immediately and will definitely return to the area and the hotel.

This hotel has a really good location in Sanur but really needs a facelift in the bathrooms. Toilet seats in room, reception and beach are old, spotted and need to be renewed.moldy joints between tiles. There is an issue with the water pumps and water quality. The water smells like rotten eggs when turning the shower on and is sometimes brown. Really annoying are the daily noises (sounds like hammering on the tubes) every 30 minutes behind the walls). We had to change rooms because it was every minute the whole night long. The room wasn't always clean Everyone from staff was very friendly and smiling. Breakfast was good. Coffee great. The beach was nice. Didn't really want to swim because a lot of alga. Nice promenade approx 5 km to run, walk or bike ride. Sanur is perfect for peace seekers, elderly and familys. 3 pools and very botanical.
