Loving this resort... perfect location right on the beach. Rooms are spotless and staff are wonderful.... service is faultless. Only downside is the cost of the spa Aus$65 for a 1 hour massage and $40 for a pedi. I just walked 2 doors down n had an amazing massage for $10.
We came to the Griya for our last 4 days in Bali. Our rooms were very comfortable, close to the pool and restaurant. For older people we would suggest asking for a ground floor apartment as the stairs are quite steep. The breakfasts were varied and very tasty, all 6 of us had breakfast of our choice, with a range of tropical and continental foods. Beach access was very good with loungers available on the beach. Staff were very helpful, check-in and check-out completely painless. We could use the facilities after checkout until our taxi arrived to take us to the airport, very helpful. Shops, warungs, bars and spas were all available on the street outside the hotel, a 2 minute walk. We would happily return to this hotel.
We have spent close to two weeks here at the Griya Santrian. I must say it is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in. The staff are all extremely accommodating and friendly. The rooms are lovely. We received a free upgrade for our stay and were given a deluxe room in the newest building. The bathroom is so spacious! You could easily fit 10 people in the shower (Do not hold me to this number though as I did not try). The facilities here are excellent. Free bike hire, Egg painting, cooking classes, 24 hour doctor, laundry service, money changer, airport transport service, and a beautiful restaurant on the beach. The gardens are all beautifully groomed each morning, as well as the pavement swept. The pools are cleaned everyday and are lovely for morning and afternoon swim. Breakfast at the Wantilan Restaurant was well sufficient. Every morning there is fresh juices, tea/coffee, fresh fruit, cheese, bakery goods, mee goreng, fried rice, potatoes, sausages, porridge, cereal, pancakes/waffles and of course the lovely omelette stand! The taxi stand a little way from the hotel entrance is a bit annoying though. They will ask if you need transport today and if you decline they ask about tomorrow. This is EVERY TIME you walk past. The wifi is also a bit dicey at times. However they are trying their best to fix this. They have said it is the internet provider cutting out. I love this hotel.
We truly loved our time in Bali and this hotel. The staff is friendly, everything is clean. The garden, surroundings and pools are absolutely breath taking. Really gorgeous. Excellent location near pubs, warungs... in the middle of Sanur. The room was large, simple and clean. Bathroom was surprisingly terrible compared with the rest: rusty old tub and shabby shower. Another minus; our room was located near breakfast area and the smell in the heat was awful. Luckily this didn't affect the room with perfect airco and nice view. Pools were quiet, pretty, clean. Beach area also nice (lots of algae in the ocean though). Last minus: there were chain smokers IN the pool. Not very hygienic and smells bad. We had a few meals at the hotel and the food was excellent. Drinks not too expensive either. Hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at.
We spent 6 days at the Griya Santrian last week and we had nothing but a perfect stay. The hotel and the grounds are maintained to the highest standard and are completely traditional. The hotel has 3 pools with ample space, the main pool literally by the beach with a swim up bar was our favorite! Food was great, plenty of choice. The staff are all very welcoming and polite. We will definitely be back. Miss it already! 5^ from us!
We checked into a Deluxe room we booked and after 1st night asked to move to a bigger room which agoda showed they had available but reception advised otherwise even though we were happy to pay difference. Air con is noisy, small room esp with kids or a baby in our case, fridge doesnt work in room, no wifi all day when we checked in, breakfast cold and average, no fresh coconuts.. Pools are nice but im sure there are nicer places for better value.
This is my third stay here, Previous visit 3 years ago. Lovely hotel. Stayed in the deluxe rooms opposite the middle pool. We stayed on the 2nd level this visit. Balcony is nice to have a relaxing drink and look out over the gardens & pool.Rooms very clean, floors moped each day. clean bedding & towels. We didn't dine at the restaurant so unable to comment. Very accommodating with check out. We had a late flight and looked after baggage, Had use of a locker and shower room next to reception. Great pool at the beachfront a, bit busy for us . Plenty of lounges at the pools & on the beach if you like to swim there .Plenty of restaurants /Warungs nearby.
A beautiful resort with 3 swimming pools to choose from. The only thing that bothered me a bit is they start to put the covers on at the Pollack just after 6 and the pool closes at 8. But overall very relaxed and peaceful.
Second time at griya and just as fantastic as last year . From the moment we booked from WA to the minute we arrived was spot on. The communication via email is great and efficient. Citra is always answering my email enquiries she is amazing and also Ayu I dealt with a few times both professional and fantastic. Apon being delayed from our virgin flight we didn't arrive on our due date. This was not a problem for the staff we did not get charged for that night we were supposed to arrive and also they still saved our room we asked for. The same room as last year, I didn't get around to reviewing last year but this year is just as brilliant. Staff are all beautiful from the grounds ppl ,cleaners, waiters, pool guys, bell boys, reception, entrance everyone . Breaky is great everything you need. We stayed in room 110 second time and love it,beach wing room. Had a problem with air conditioner the guy was here immediately to fix it no drama. Anything we needed was not a problem. Pool menu is great and view just breathtaking . Hmmm what else to say just do yourself a favour and if your thinking of staying in sanur you will love this place. Thanks Griya once again !
