I was impressed immediately by the friendliness and helpfulness of the person I spoke with when I called to reserve. Upon arriving Danielle was just as helpful, friendly and professional. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Bed and bedding was comfy. We enjoyed the pool and spa, which was clean but needs a little TLC. We did not have a problem with noise. Breakfast was very good, eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, cereals, juice. Checked out with Jaylene who was just as friendly as Danielle had been, seems to be a theme here. A big thank you to this hotel management and staff for your customer service. We will definitely stay here any time we are in Bakersfield.

This hotel had all the amenities we wanted. The room was spacious & clean & even had a ceiling fan, which was a nice surprise. My husband appreciated the workout room. The staff was friendly & courteous & breakfast was good. Overall we had a very pleasant stay.

We stay here when we are coming back from Sacramento area(4-5x yr) They have a housekeeper there named Gina. She is not only a tribute to this place, she is a crack-up! Our room is always clean and the breakfast is fresh and hot. Great place to stop and rest up from driving.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night on our trip through California. After the day in Yosemite this hotel was perfect. The rooms were spotless, with complimentary coffee, shampoo etc, fridge and a coffee machine. The beds were extremely comfy with no noise disturbance. Air con and fan in the room were a big bonus as Bakersfield is VERY hot during summer months. Also free parking was an added bonus. We only arrived quite late to the area and still managed to find some food places. In close proximity is a petrol station and fast food places (Burger King, Taco Bell). About a 5 minute drive away were some restaurants where we found an amazing BBQ restaurant called 'Famous Daves'. If you like BBQ/smoked type meats then I would 100% recommend visiting here. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

I've stayed at many hotels in Bakersfield, I travel there on business once a month. Almost every one in the $100 price range had some major issue that made me never want to go back. I stumbled across Comfort Suites and decided it couldn't be much worse. Was I surprised. The hotel is a little off the beaten path, but well within walking distance to a steak house, fast food and a gym. A few minute drive will take you to just about every type of restaurant you could ask for. The room was very large and well thought out. It includes a HDTV with Direct TV, which also has HBO and Showtime plus at least 100 channels....nice touch. There is a microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, iron, full size ironing board and alarm clock. The bathroom is also large and includes shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The tables next to the bed have lamps that include outlets in the base so you can plug a phone or other device in to charge and have it right next to you. The room also has an ethernet connection, as well as the strongest wifi signal I have come across in any hotel. The room even had a ceiling fan. The parking is free. It is a 3 story hotel with an elevator, workout room and laundry. They even have a wall next to the reception desk that has everything from Hot Pockets and candy bars, to sodas, aspirin, toothpaste....etc. Whatever you may have forgotten, they most likely have it....and at a fair price. There is an outside patio and pool as well. Breakfast is free and well stocked, including eggs and waffles. The staff is friendly and helpful. The drawbacks are few. The elevator has to be the loudest I have heard for whatever reason, so make sure you get a room as far away as you can. There is only one entrance and parking is in front, so if you're room is in the back...be ready. There is no safe in the room which is something that should be standard these days. Also, a minimum 2 week advanced booking will save you almost 30%. That can make it difficult to get the best rate for a last minute trip, but if you're able to plan ahead, it's more than worth it. Overall, one of the better hotels in a shrinking price range.....

We believe this is an older hotel, fixed up. not too big, with only one entrance and 3 storeys. We get a room with 1 king and love the luxury of a sofa and room to sit in the middle of a long road trip. The beds are great, the staff is great, the breakfast has a lot of variety. Conveniently located. We'll stay here anytime we're in the vicinity.

So I had not stayed in Bakersfield ever in my life.....and we went up for some AHL Hockey. As always Comfort Suites comes thru!!!! Jaylee (I hope I spelled this right) at the front desk was so awesome...she gave us directions to the game and then said "if you get lost call me here at the hotel and I will help you". Our room was clean and comfortable. It is also great that they offer a breakfast with so many options and always good food. The lady at breakfast came around to our table and asked how we were and offered her assistance for anything. It's always nice to know you can count on Comfort. My only thing I would say to add would be more TV channels to your basic lineup.

Worst experience ever. Stopped in the night before Thanksgiving due to being to tired to continue driving. There were 3 cars in parking lot. Checked in. Were given room connected to the elevation. Extremely loud. Asked to be moved. She moved us to other side of elevator. So pretty much same room same noise. Turned on heater. Smelt horrible smell. Then the smoke alarm went off. Called front desk she asked "what do you want me to do come turn it off?" We turned it off ourselves. Tried turning on ceiling fan to get smoke and smell out didn't work. Had to sleep with window open. Froze all night. Took shower hair on towels. Along with everwhere else. On checking out told lady. She giggled said" "oh no". She'd make a note. Never offered discount on room or anything. Lost our business. We are in Bakersfield a lot with our crew for the races at Kern. Definitely won't be back.

When we are on our way to California we always overnite here. First, it has a great location. A Costco is just across the road with good gas prices and there are restaurants you can walk to(which feels good after sitting the car for hours). Secondly the staff is always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Third, the rooms are very clean and love the room to spread out in the suite.

The accommodations were very comfortable and the staff very friendly. The warm chocolate chip cookie and the full complimentary breakfast is a treat. We had a very comfortable room with two queen beds and a little seating area with a couch and partial wall. Nice when I get up earlier than my husband. Our room appeared to be very clean. However, when I looked at the bathroom sink, there were two long dark hairs in it. Not mine! There is no excuse for that. I did tell the gal at the desk. She said she would let her boss know. I don't know if that happened, but I hope so. We were going to stay there on our return trip through the area, but there was a big event going on that week and they had raised their prices substantially. We found another hotel across the street that was reasonably priced so we chose them.
