Highly recommend this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the hotel was beautiful but what we were most impressed with were the free tours that we were able to do just because we were guests of the hotel and the concierge booked them all for us including a live music crawl and a breakfast taco tour (each an $85/per person value). There were also options for various museums and one other tour. The pool/rooftop area was as beautiful. I just can’t say enough about the hotel.
I generally travel for inspiration…. After staying it to Thompson numerous times I finally opted for the Tommy and was pleasantly surprised. The corner room, and looking over the pool was incredible, with all the natural light, and the views of downtown ATX…. Whether it’s the percolator coffee pot, or the nicely sharpened pencil and pad, or the oversized canvas ceiling lamp hanging from exposed concrete ceiling, The details to design were inspiring…….. if I’m booking a second night, on a Sunday , you’re doing something right
Property staff was amazing and friendly! Very clean updated rooms
I travel a lot for business and vacations. This hotel is the absolute Worst. I am so disappointed that I will NEVER use Orbitz again.
Such a great stay. Had an unfortunate injury the night before arriving for our stay in austin. Due to being on crutches unexpectedly, we could not attend all the area attractions we had planned and we were limited to staying in/near the hotel. We never ran out of things to do, places to relax, enjoy our time or eat. It was a great experience.
I am happy to pay more for high quality and convenience, but this hotel goes way overboard. The price of the room itself isn't crazy... Even though it's so small you barely fit two suitcases in at one time... But the fees and extra charges are high. The extra fees for our room service breakfast were significantly higher than the food itself It was $97 for two ppl to eat eggs and toast with two cups of coffee. And I had to go downstairs to get my own cream and sugar as it wasn't provided with the breakfast. The valet parking is $60 per day. And they charged me for an extra day. I called the hotel to get it refunded and they directed me to a separate customer service department--I'm still waiting for a call back from them. The property is lovely and the restaurants are good quality but overall it's way overpriced.
Really wonderful property clean, well designed and central.
We had a great time. Our room was on the smaller side, and there isn't much privacy in the bathroom, but it didn't detract from the overall experience bring pretty great. Loved the pool area. Loved the location.
