I paid 89$ on a Friday night which is pretty good for austin. There were many others at that price but this one was close to my work conference and had reviews about the staff. The staff was in fact very helpful and friendly, a rarity at more economical hotels. Maddison was very helpful and friendly and quick ti help. My room was big, clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet overall, though the doors are loud when they close. Area was really safe and a huge array of stores and malls to walk around were a 4 min drive away.

This property allows dogs which is fine...I have a dog but he doesn't travel with me. I stated that because the person who checked in before me had a dog that had its two front paws on the check in counter and when it was my turn there was dog hair on the counter. The room was old and dingy...the TV was dim..also the kid at the check in desk charged me $100 for incidentals which is ok...but then I grabbed a coke and chips and told him to put it on my room and he said that charge was for a deposit ??? Lastly...this is a regular hotel like a Hyatt Place or Candlewood...but...they charge you to park in their parking lot and don't tell you till you check out....like it was almost comical. SO...if you think you are checking in to this place and it is like the Sonesta in Bee Cave....NO...same name...different brand. Stay away.

Clean room, friendly staff. Cute "stray kitten" that guest and staff are taking care of, which was very sweet. Great location too, Negatives are lighting in the room was grim (light color). Good room layout but very old furniture and appliances, Wasn't too expensive so a good value, but you might want to consider a new property nearby.

I had a great three-night stay for work here. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an under $100 stay. Though simple-ni trills, the bed were nice, bed very comfortable, and the towels were and thick towels. Great location at the Domain.

I booked at the Sonesta Simply Suites Austin the Domain area. I was excited and had high expectations. The main reason I picked this hotel was because there was a kitchenette. As I pulled in I could tell from the outside it was an older hotel. As I walked in to check in there were men outside just starring. I already started to have a weird feeling. As checking in I was trying to be open minded. As I got the key to my room I rushed there. I could already tell that I wasn’t going to safe. The place just seemed sketchy. I got in my room and locked the door. The room had a musky smell. The room was dirty had greasy hand prints all over the furniture. I again tried to be open minded. I told myself I’m only here for 4 nights. I did not feel comfortable to even unpack my suitcase. I went into the restroom where there were pubes in the toilet, the tub was stained dirty and the towels had a funky odor. I still decided to take a shower. While showering the water was collecting and collecting. The shower did not drain. After that I packed my items up and went to the front desk and told the male Matthew that I wanted to check out and get a refund. He asked what was wrong and I told him I didn’t feel safe at this hotel and it was sketchy. He told me since I booked through Expedia I would need to contact them. As I got to my car there were a few roaches on the roof. I quickly got in the car and booked another hotel. I got in touch with Expedia which were so sympathetic and understanding.
