Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol

Air Condition did not work. Neither did the fan. It was peak Summer and I couldnt sleep whole night.

The hotel was very nice. Everything is generally walking distance and the staff is very friendly and acommodating.

Greeted with professional front desk staff, the bar and dining are was under staff for such big hotel.

My Orbitz reservation included continental breakfast for 2. However, the hotel charged me for breakfast with a charge to my credit card that appeared after I had left. I called accounting, and they indicated that the charged would be reversed. After 4 weeks, this charge has not been reversed. This was not a good experience. In addition, my room was not ready at 3:00 PM. After waiting and receiving the key, I was sent to a room with the door open and that was not clean. Had to come back to reception for another room and key. The hotel reversed hotel parking for this (which was good). The hotel is well located but old and in my opinion understaffed and oversold.

Very happy with the staff, the hotel and the room. I slept better than I do in my own bed. The only thing I was not happy about was that when I tried to connect to the hotel's wifi, there was a message that I was going to have to pay to get connected. I was also not at all pleased with the overnight parking fee in the garage. I realize that downtown parking space is at a premium, but come on. What I though was a "great" deal through Orbitz had addded on costs that did not make it great. I would have booked somewhere else had I know about the add-on fees.

The hotel is very nice and is only a short walk away to the Capital. The room was clean and we had a view of downtown. The hotel's restaurant has very good breakfast and we always left full.

close to the Capitol. Franklins bbq right down the street. During bad weather, convenient indoor pool and jacuzzi.

Pague dos moches pero me retiré y solo estuve 1 noche, el hotel está muy sucio y falta de mantenimiento, huele muy mal las habitaciones

The hotel is undergoing a major lobby renovation, but our room was very clean and we were on the quiet side of the hotel overlooking the creek and Capital. Only disappointment was there was no lobby food services since it was undergoing renovation.

Staff was excellent at front desk, restaurant and room service cleaning.

The hotel and staff were great. It had everything we needed as far as dining and Starbucks in the hotel. We were there to tour the State Capital and the hotel was within walking distance we did not have to use are car until we checked out. a major plus!

the hotel was very nice, no airport shuttle, no shuttle to convention center, no refrigerator, not a good value for the price. very very nice though

Excessive noise in the room. Very small room and poor bath room facilities.

great weekend get away with friends in Austin, tx.

This hotel was not up to Sheraton standards. Needs a lot of improvement from staff to the cleanliness of the room.

Room was dated, amenities left a ton to be desired and relative to other similarly priced hotels it was dirty. Staff was friendly and the location is decent,

Staff was super friendly and we ordered room service and it was great!

Very nice experience, were able to check in early to a clean and fresh room. Staff was friendly and helpful, location is great specially if you are looking for nightlife fun.

This hotel is about what you would expect from a Sheraton in terms of the look and feel of the place. What I was impressed with was the staff. The check-in process was simple and the lady was so friendly. Same with check-out. They really made me feel like they would go out of their way to help me with anything I needed. And they did it in a friendly way with a smile. We upgraded to the club view and the view was nice from the club level. We could see downtown Austin. The food for breakfast was really better than expected with berries and eggs and toast. The coffee was excellent. Overall, this is a great hotel in this price range.

The first room I checked into must have been a smoking room in previous years. It still smelled of smoke. Checkin was smooth and front desk was friendly. They changed the room. In the evening wanted something to snack on. Room service stopped at 11 so had to resort to vending machine. Vending machines only took quarters. Went to front desk to ask for change. The clerk told me they do not keep change for guests. Had to go out and down the street to convinence store. Asked for a late check out, which to my surprise after being granted that it would cost and additional 50.00. I feel the hotel was of value until started seeing all the extra charges added on.
