Very clean and very friendly! The complimentary breakfast was great, but the seating was woefully inadequate for the number of people staying here this weekend.

within walking distance of everything we wanted to do, great location

Wonderful front desk. Wonderful location. Beautiful room.

Close to evrything. Easybwalk to river and restaurants.

Nice hotel near convention center and restaurants; convenient to airport

Super close to restaurants and night life, valet parking, free breakfast and easy going staff

The cleaning staff took headphones from our room, either accidentally or on purpose. We left a note asking where they were but never got a response. We also asked the front desk staff to check into it but they never got back to us. The maid also didn’t clean our room 3 of 4 days and we had to ask for fresh stuff. Not a great experience.

We truly enjoyed out stay at the Hampton Inn in Downtown Austin. The Front desk staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. The Hotel was lovely and clean. We really enjoyed having our breakfast out on the balcony each morning.

Nice clean hotel near the convention center and some great restaurants. Staff was very nice.

The hotel staff was friendly and the room was tidy and spacious, but my fiancé and I were staying in Austin in December and the weather was near freezing. The main issue we had with the hotel was that there was no hot water building wide which the staff did admitted when we complained and to make things worse, the heater in our suite was not working. The staff offered to switch rooms but it would have been to a much smaller room & it was a lot of luggage for my fiancé to carry on her own so we declined, but the staff was nice enough to bring extra blanket for my fiancé (I was at a meeting at this time and not at the hotel). Luckily we only booked this hotel for one night and went to JW Marriott for the remainder of the weekend for my friend’s wedding where we did not experience any issues. Otherwise this is a nice hotel, but hard to enjoy your stay without a heater and having to take a cold shower in the winter. The staff did not give us a refund stating our 3rd party (Orbitz/Expedia) would have to do so.

Came to town for my daughter’s wedding. Needed to stay within walking distance to the venue. The staff was very friendly. The valet service was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem was the a/c vent. It blew directly onto the bed and there was no way to change the direction. It was a good experience and I would return.

Calm & clean Hotel.... would stay again... still to improve breakfast a little bit

It was perfect location and clean - great breakfeast

The staff was very friendly! The bed was very comfortable and clean. I just felt for the money paid, the overall cleanliness of my room should/could have been better - carpet is long overdue to be replaced or at the very least a good steam cleaning. I would stay here again, just perhaps request an updated room next time. Other than that I had no complaints.

Nice hotel walking distance to the Congress bridge bat colony, 6th Street and Congress St. shops and restaurants. Great location. No parking unless you want to fork out a lot ($35) for valet parking, otherwise city lots or street parking overnight. No cookies, like some Hamptons have. :( Registration staff were young, friendly, but gave us wrong info about where to find restaurants and bars. we walked a long way in the rain getting lost... :( -- a lot of areas were closing down in preparation for South by Southwest, a local music fest that takes over the downtown area. Regisgration folks should be up-to-date about events such as this, that will majorly impact comings and goings in the downtown area. Otherwise good breakfast and comfy room. Very pricey, as are all hotels in the downtown area.

The breakfast area was spacious and pleasant, including an outdoor balcony. The hotel had free coffee available all day, and a free happy hour at 5 P.M. The room was very quiet, despite the hotel being full. The air conditioner worked well, and there were plenty of convenient electrical outlets for charging electronic devices. The free wi-fi worked well. Be aware that the beds are tiny, smaller than queen size. The location was good, close to the river and to the Convention Center. Historic Sixth Street is a pleasant walk away, and Gus's Chicken is across the street. There was a pool, but no hot tub.

The world's smallest queen size beds and thin cheap linens that did not cover the mattress made sleeping uncomfortable. A better use of money that the hotel spent on free drinks and chips would be higher-quality sheets. Americans really don't need free chips. Otherwise, the room was spacious, because the beds were so small. The free breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, bagels, waffles, and yogurt. There was a coffee maker in the room, and free coffee was available on the second floor. In the evening, free lemonade was served.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites for 3 nights while attending a conference at the Austin Convention Center. It was a short, convenient walk to the convention center, making it easy to pop back to your hotel during a lunch break if necessary. My room was very clean, modern, and very comfortable, and I had a nice view. I used the fitness center one day, and that was also quite nice. The service was excellent, too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wi-fi in my room was kind of slow and not very stable, but it was free. The room service options weren't great. The options were a very expensive steakhouse or a moderately expensive Chinese food restaurant, and both closed before 11 p.m., making it hard to get food and/or wine if you had a late flight or late meetings, which I had 2 of the 3 nights I stayed. There were lots of nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, though. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you're attending a conference at the convention center nearby.
