I got back from the football game and tried to order room service at 10:45, they hung up on me twice and then just let the phone ring until it was 11:00 when the kitchen was closing. I was extremely hungry and upset, went downstairs to tell the person at the front desk and they said, “the fryers are off now, there is nothing we can do” and she told me it was “above her pay grade” when I asked if she could have them turned back on. When you pay almost $700 for a room and this is how they treat you, it is VERY upsetting. They offered me some free chips and sodas out of their vending area. This is not how you treat people. Very disappointing.

Staff was really courteous and attended to my needs

Rooms were spacious And beautiful. Staff was suberb. Very helpful and accommodating!

The staff couldn’t of been any nicer and everything was so clean.

Service was great, especially the shuttle service that took us downtown several times, at no extra charge. My only complaint was that the pool and whirlpool spa were very dirty, with visible sand/dirt inside accumulated on the bottom of pool and on stairs. . That was a disappointment compared to everything else.

The staff at this hotel was outstanding. They were friendly, efficient, and helpful. In Austin, you do not receive plastic bags anywhere with purchases. We ran out of puppy bags and the hotel staff was kind enough to give me a couple of bags to finish out my trip. The valet and bell service was always quick and helpful. We had a lot of stuff to bring to our room and they helped me get it there and put it away. Also, one time I had to come back before a job interview and the valet held my car at the front which I ran in to change. Best hotel I've stayed in Austin.

Girls weekend and the suite setup and hotel location added to success of trip.

Upon arriving there were valet cars EVERYWHERE and people waiting for upwards of 10-15 min for their cars I ended up parking my car myself and waiting for someone to come give me a ticket... 35 dollars a night to park my own car... cool... the hotel was nice and front line staff were pleasant... fresh warm cookies were DELICIOUS! Room was large and nice with queen suite nice kitchen with a full size fridge. Balcony door was very hard to open and close. But overall the room was very nice. A little pricy but if the valet situation were better and cars weren’t parked on curbs all day every day i would probably stay there again. Very close to the capitol and a short Uber away from 4th and 6th street. Walking distance to many restaurants and bars.

Great hotel and very clean. Located right in downtown. Nice pool and very friendly and attentive staff!

This hotel has a great view, with spacious rooms. The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view of the State Capitol. Will stay here again!

The manager stayed with us while we packed up the van and he chatted with the kids and gave us all warm chocolate chip cookies for the drive. He had a warm gently smile and we even took a picture with him! Thank you for making us feel valued - we will certainly choose Doubletree as our #! hotel of choice!

Great stay. Great stay.Great stay.Great stay.Great stay.Great stay.Great stay.Great stay.Great stay.

We stayed here to go to a UT basketball game and then enjoy the entertainment afterwards. We had sister and husband with us and stayed in the 2 br suite. It was perfect for our needs and had common area for joint entertaining. Shuttle took us to the basketball game and then Uber to 6th street. Overall, a great experience and very comfortable room

The hotel staff was very nice and tried to help us. I wish they would have better restaurant recommendations, though....Pizza Hut and Domino's for good pizza doesn't work for us. We were hoping for more local flavor. We used the pull out couch for the kids. The mattress was not so great, so be prepared if you are planning on using that. Also, the kitchen only had 3 sets of cups, silverware and plates with no bowls. We made due, but it was strange.

Came to Austin for a Girls Weekend and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel to stay at! Upon arrival, all of our guests received warm cookies! Valet was complimentary. Our room was spectacular and they offered free shuttle to 6th street! All main night attractions were a short drive to a from the hotel. Overall, great stay! I'd come back here if I am given the choice to!

We were looking for a place to stay to visit some friends and didn't want to spend too much. We were very impressed with the hotel and staff.

Lovely hotel and they gave you fresh baked cookies upon check-in. I stayed in a comfy, spacious junior suite that was a little pricey, but I booked late.

Everything was great. The comfort of the bed, the food, the food service. I could have not picked a better place to stay. Keep up the way you are doing things. Thanks.

Dear Anonymous, I am extremely sorry you had a bad experience with the closing of our restaurant. I am glad that my staff did try to offer you what they could get their hands on and I know that that offered to buy a food delivery service as well. Again, my sincere apologies.

Thank you for your review and especially for your feedback. Engineering should be cleaning the pool more frequently these days due to the building construction next door. I apologize that we fell behind and the pool was not just as great as everything else!
