The Space:

Wairua is designed for relaxed luxury, with every room oriented toward sweeping views of Onetangi Bay and the Hauraki Gulf.



The main level opens into a grand, light-filled living and dining area with high ceilings, two gas fires, seamless indoor–outdoor flow, and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen. Slide open the doors and the entire home feels connected to the sea, morning sun, soft breezes, and uninterrupted vistas.



A second lounge gives guests space to spread out, making the house ideal for families, couples sharing, or groups wanting privacy and comfort.

Minimum stays: 7 nights between mid December and early January, 3 nights holiday weekends, 2 nights all other times. Discounts apply for longer stays - please enquire.



Guest Access:

Guests have full access to the entire property.



Check-in: 2:00 pm

Check-out: 10:30 am



Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged for a fee, depending on bookings before and after your stay.



Please note: This is a cliff-top property with unfenced frontage, young children must be closely supervised at all times.

Wairua is well-positioned for easy island exploring.



6 minutes to Onetangi Beach cafés

10 minutes to Ostend (supermarket, markets)

12 minutes to Oneroa Village

15 minutes to the passenger ferry at Matiatia

12 minutes to Kennedy Point car ferry



Regular bus services run from Onetangi, with stops near major wineries (including Tantalus, Stonyridge, Wild Estate, and The Heke) and continuing into Oneroa and the passenger ferry. Taxis and rental vehicles are available, though taxis can be expensive during peak times.



There is easy parking at the property.
