Adequate but nothing flash. Reception staff at check in was polite but not forthcoming with information. I was surprised and disappointed to discover the hotel has no restaurant or bar. Rooms have cooking facilities and the bedroom is able to be divided off with a sliding door which is good. Overall I consider the facilities and service are appropriate for a reasonable Motel rather than an hotel, and would suit many in a holiday capacity but not so good for a business trip.
A good location with reasonable prices, friendly staff - just whats needed when visiting Auckland which can be a nightmare destination with pricing and out of the way location. So close to many restaurants and services, this place ticks the box for a budget but good experience.
Rooms are tiny, no parking (or extremely limited at best) and a very expensive continental breakfast offered only. Truly a bare bones place to stay in the city. If you need to park be sure to say so when you book well ahead or the receptionist will just say to take your luck in the street. The staff also were not much help with their limited knowledge of where to travel.
This is a beautiful place. Stunning at that. However, i dont want to say to much but i feel because of my colour i was not treated the same as those with light skin (from 1 staff member only) but that was enough to ruin my weekend.
Happy with the hotel and room. Location is excellent. Room showing its age a bit. TV a bit small, and there was no iron in the room. Otherwise it was all I wanted for a one-night business trip to Auckland.
Had a room overlooking the one way street so no view, a bit dark and a noisy at times, yet we got a good night's sleep. Handily located to the Viaduct, Sky Tower and Queen Street. Needs a refurbishment, especially the bathrooms. The shower is over the bath and you have to contend with a curtain sticking to you whilst you shower.
View was great, kitchen had everything bed and couch old and uncomfortable, parking expensive, service was lacking and poor, didn't even ask if we enjoyed our stay on checkout. Expensive and we wouldn't stay again
I stayed 3 nights at this hotel, after freezing the first night I requested blankets due to the air conditioner being broken, I was provided with a blow heater (which can not be left on at night as it is a fire hazzard) I was requred to continue sleeping in my clothes, due to the substandard blanket. The pool however was lovely and the spa warm. A small consolation
Staff are lovely and the location was so close to the viaduct. Pillows were hard as rock and we weren't given a duvet had to ring to get one which took close to half and hour to get. It would be great if you could access pool area without having to go to the front desk each time - Also sauna only heated from 5pm?
In all honesty, I did not enjoy my stay at all. Upon arrival the staff member on the front desk was not friendly at all & extremely blunt. Not one smile, her tone was horrible & serving me seemed to be the last thing she wanted to do. The hotel was aware that we had our son with us, yet we were supplied with only 1 blanket. The floor had not been vacuumed as you the carpet clearly showed every bit of crumb, dust, cotton etc. The wardrobe doors are broken! And on top of it all the leg on the bed gave way after we lay in bed for all of 2 minutes & broke. We had to find something to place under the bed so we weren't on a lean. Overall, horrible. Will not be returning.
