Summary:

Elevated above the coastline with wide sea views, Bluebelle is a fully renovated two-bedroom cottage with a separate studio and sleepout, an easy, comfortable base for couples and families.



The Space:

Bluebelle by Stay Waiheke has been restored with care, keeping the charm of a classic Waiheke cottage while adding modern comfort. Wooden floors run through the home, and bi-fold doors open the kitchen and living area to outdoor spaces with sea views. The wood-burning fire makes the home comfortable year-round, and the layout is simple and practical.



The main house opens to a partially covered seaside deck with a large dining table, outdoor seating, and windows framing the view is a relaxed spot for meals, reading, or time in the sun. Inside, everything is fresh and thoughtfully arranged for holiday living. The main bedroom includes a desk for guests who may need to work, and the kitchen is well equipped for everyday cooking.



The property includes three separate sleeping areas:

• the main house,

• a studio, and

• a sleepout.



The studio sits at the top of the property with lovely sea views and around 60 steps for access. It has a double bed, a built-in desk, and an ethernet connection. There is no bathroom, but the external toilet beside the main house is available. The sleepout includes a triple bunk for children and its own desk, with access to the same external toilet.



The layout works well for families needing flexible sleeping arrangements or for couples who want space and privacy.



Bluebelle is centrally located in Surfdale. Little Oneroa Beach is a 15-minute walk, and Oneroa Village is only a few minutes by car for cafés, shops, and galleries.

Main House:

Bedroom 1: Queen bed

Bedroom 2: Single bed + bunk bed



Studio:

Double bed (no bathroom; external toilet available)



Sleepout:

Triple bunk (children only; external toilet available).



Guest Access:

Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is 10:30am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee depending on same-day bookings. Guests have access to the entire property, including the studio, sleepout, external toilet, and all outdoor areas. Street parking only.



The Neighborhood:

Bluebelle sits in Surfdale, central to beaches, cafés, and the village.



For breakfast or coffee, Wai Kitchen and Akito in Oneroa are close by. For lunch, Solar Eating House and Fenice offer relaxed daytime dining in the village. Dinner options include The Oyster Inn for coastal dishes or Fenice for casual Italian plates.



Nearby wineries include Mudbrick and Cable Bay, both offering tastings and long lunches. For something more casual, The Heke serves wood-fired dishes, local beer, and has a lively garden setting.



Little Oneroa Beach is a short walk away for swimming and picnics, with Oneroa Village only minutes by car.



Getting Around:

The nearest bus stop is within walking distance and connects directly to the ferry, Oneroa, Onetangi, and major parts of the island. Buses stop outside key wineries including Cable Bay, Mudbrick, Stonyridge, Tantalus, Te Motu, Wild on Waiheke, and The Heke. Taxis, hire cars, scooters, and e-bikes are available. Street parking only.



Other Things to Note:

Minimum stays: 7 nights mid-Dec to mid-Jan, 3 nights for the remainder of January and holiday weekends, 2 nights at all other times.



Sleeps up to 6 guests (maximum 4 adults).



Dogs are welcome.



Studio (“Love Shack”) accessed via approx. 60–75 steps from the main house. No bathroom; external toilet available.



Waiheke relies entirely on rainwater tanks. To support sustainable living and protect local supply, especially during the drier summer months, we ask guests to be mindful of their water use during their stay.



Interaction with Guests:

Our Stay Waiheke team is available seven days a week from 8.30 am to 5 pm for general queries.

For life threatening emergencies such as fire, police, or ambulance, guests must call 111 immediately.
