They sell it as a 5 stars hotel but nothing to do with it. I booked the luxury room and I changed for a smaller one. It had a double bed with a dirty and shattered blanket, the wooden floor was in a really bad conditions. So I had pay for a luxury room and I end up sleeping in a normal one. Because I had book and pay in advance they didn’t offer me any kind of discount or any other benefit. I had used as well the room service for dinner and it was expensive with very little amount of food, So I don’t recommend this hotel at all

Unfortunatelly for that price you find better hotels even in Greece where they are famous for overrating. The hotel is old AND kind of worn out - you can see it in details (cracked furniture, scrapped floors and corners etc). I understand the vintage concept but I dont understand the negligence. Moreover the breakfast is not very good (not for that price!) and the service is poor (they tend to come late to bring you coffee even if the place was not crowded). And the coffee is really bad!

This hotel is really nice with big and clean rooms with nice bathrooms and perfect breakfast! The gym was also , very good and clean . The train station it was about 15 min. Walk . The next to the hotel was a Park.

Nice and comfortable room. Arrived late and did not wanted to try the numerous restaurants in the neighbourhood. Roomservice was good and surely not expensive. Clean room and bathroom was modern. Only one small negative thing, windows were not easy to open.

This hotel claims to be a “luxury hotel” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We booked two rooms for 8 nights and had a terrible stay due to poor management and overall discomfort from the amenities and services. Our rooms were spacious but the beds were so uncomfortable that we could not get any rest, I asked if they could place a duvet under the sheets to make the beds a bit more confortable, but when we got back to the hotel housekeeping had placed 3 HAND TOWELS under our sheets instead, and nothing was done in the second room. The rooms themselves were not in good condition, blow driers did not work and were held together with tape, the bathrooms were not clean, and in one bathroom the toilet was impossible to flush, the flusher would continuously jam. They placed alarms on the room doors which would sound every single time we closed the door. The only way to get it to not sound is if you literally slammed it very forcefully which made a ton of noise to the other guests around, but it’s either waking people with the alarm or a loud slam. The curtains on the windows in one of the rooms would not close all the way, we had to maneuver the furniture every night and morning up against the curtains to hold them closed so the light wouldn’t come into the room in the morning. Room service food trays would lay out in the hallway for half a day stinking up the area before getting picked up. The parking situation was a joke, there was never a place to park and after 11pm there was no parking attendant to help the guests. The breakfast, (included in our package) was served cold every morning due to the sterno cans under the serving trays not being turned on once during our stay. When I spoke to the manager about it, at first he did not believe me, then he argued with me! When I spoke to him on another occasion sharing our displeasure in staying at his hotel and everything we went through he was extremely rude to me, arguing with me, raising his voice at me, and treating me the way a manager of a “luxury hotel” should never treat a guest. He didn’t offer any compensation to us except for a measly dinner in their restaurant which we did not want to eat at. I told him I would write a bad review if he did not do something better for us considering how much money we spent at his hotel, and he asked me not to but would not do anything for us, so I’m writing it like I said I would. We travel frequently to Greece and have never been treated so poorly. It’s safe to say we will not be staying there again!

the hotel is very well located in the chic Kefalari area Kifisia. Although the building itself looks to be distinguished the hotel is a bit far from 5 stars for the moment. Rooms are a bit outdated. Breakfast is good in quantity and quality however service needs some improvement. can be recommended for a one day business stay but there may be some better alternatives in the area with the same price.

We had two rooms in the hotel. Def not a 5 star. Reception staff not very friendly. Rooms are not very sound proof, we heard man next door coughing half the night. Floors are click flooring and very noisy. What I was most disappointed about was that there was a quilt on the bed that had no cover!! There was a top sheet but I don't think this is very hygienic. 2 very flat pillows on bed There is a charge of 25 euro for residents to use the sauna etc. One good point is location.

I have now stayed 2-3 times in Theoxenia and there are a number of reasons I keep going back. The location of the hotel is fantastic, located in Athens Kifisia suburb, only a short walk from the high street that hosts all kinds of shops and restaurants and easy transport links to the center. It has a wonderful pool that allows for lounging during the day if you don't feel like driving to the beach. The rooms have a classic decoration and they are spacious and clean with wonderful open views. The staff is friendly and attentive and always happy to help. Overall a thumbs up and looking forward to visiting again this summer

Nice, vintage, but old. The place is very nice at Kifisia. The pool is at the back, with i must say cold water. The room need to be constract again. The breakfast nothing special. Just falling stars from the sky.....

Arrived and our room was ready, we ordered room service that came quite fast and was actually very tasty. The reason I booked this hotel was for the indoor pool and spa so we could have a swim indoors as it's the cooler months and outside would be cold. When asking about the pool was told it is 25euro per person and children under 16 can not swim!!!! None of this information appeared on at the time we booked. Kids are upset and very disappointed. Also the staff need to be alittle friendlier and smile perhaps. Not a family friendly hotel, but the area is absolutely gorgeous.
