When i am writing this review i am still staying here. This is called "Sea view" but there is no sea view at all .We was at room 315 and there was constant electricity problem. Our room was completely in dark .We called the reception and they said will fix for 5 minutes ,they said it was black out of complete floor ,but it was not true. After 30 minutes of negotiations (after a 12 hour of drive and tired ) they offered room 401 which was much smaller than we paid for . i am here for a fair and tomorrow is a long day ahead ..... this is worst hotel that i have experienced. This is a shame for owners of this 4 star hotel ( declared ) they dont deserve even 1/4 star .
Modern hotel, with nice ambience in restaurant and outside. Rooms are modern and comfortable, food at restaurant is great! Service at restaurant and front reception can be improved and be more professional.
Even its name is inappropriate: you do not really see the sea. Humidity in the room. Old bathroom. Pool in the shadow (and do not expect what you see on picture). Loud because windows do not cross properly. Just pick another one!
For over £100 a night you expect a certain standard, sadly this isn't it. The pictures the hotel supply are very misleading- yes the downstairs has all been done up very nice, but the rooms are horrible. The bathrooms pictured are not what we experienced, we had a tiny, dated, extremely basic bathroom. It felt like you were on a canal boat or something! Every wall in the room was grubby and stained The bed sheets had stains on them! The bed had this awful plastic sheet on which was noisey and uncomfortable. Service is fine but curt. The guys on the bar are friendly and chatty. They make a big deal about sound proofed rooms on the website - they are incredibly noisey- barking dogs outside, revellers at 3am shouting down corridor. I could even hear our neighbour coughing and sneezing through the joining door! No sea view for us, we overlooked some piping and the back of an old office block We stayed as convenient to visit family, we won't be back
Spent a week at this hotel... found it through Booking.com. Very good location: close to shops, restaurants, tram (Athens/Acropolis ca 50 min) and buses (Airport 40 min, Lake Vouliagmeni...). Reasonably priced beach just around the corner and public beach not far away (but the closest beach was worth the small fee). The hotel looked very nice, but not many rooms have a view of the sea :-) . They have a small bar and a restaurant. We had a small but clean and comfortable room and the breakfast buffet was not the largest or most "modern" but we were happy with staying with the hotel breakfast. The staff was accommodating, air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. This is a nice hotel if you can get a reasonable price for your stay.
We stayed in for 5 days and I can say that we enjoyed it.Beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean, friendly staff... The bathrooms are a bit old comparing to the room itself. The location is great. So easily accessible from the airport by bus.Nearby a tram station which makes it even easier to get to the center of Athens. I would recommend it
This hotel used to be better then now, very strange it has been renovated; but I can say that the lobby was the only renovated space.. Regarding the rest of the hotel used to smell better and to be more clean.. Standard rooms comes without kettle!! The safe box with a really big key!! mattress is annoying and if you ask for replacement you will end up asking for the first!! If you ask for a swimming pool view and double bed you will only have attached bed with two mattress!! They don't respond quickly for any requirement regardless how important it is!! But still it's better then other hotels in Glyfada!! With a really great location, close to the shipping areas, beach, supermarket, cafe and restaurant!! I can advise for Glyfada's visitors but don't expect a lot!!
We stayed with a group of friends at the Sea View hotel. The location is great, only a short walk to the beach and shops. The hotel has small bathrooms, but have all of the essentials. The beds are comfy and the rooms looks newly renovated, the bathroom needs a little more love ;) It is only a short ride by taxi to old town of Athens. Overall we had a very nice stay!
All in all is good enough, comfortable and offering complete breakfast. Nice hall to welcome guests. Italian/english speaking and kind personnel. Nice environment in front of the bar. Weak points are old bathrooms. Hair dryers are not in the bathroom but hidden in the desk's drawer of the desk in the room. I'd like to highlight another negative point about room cleaning: I spent three nights there and the day of the departure I checked everywhere in the room to pick up something I could have forgotten, under the bed I have found 1 sock, 1 empty plastic bottle and 1 hair-curler, well, ky conclusion is that they do not clean room very carefully.
We booked the hotel to join a wedding. The hotel does the job for the money we paid. Especially yhe beds are very good and comfy. Thats not always the case for us long Dutch people! Rooms and bathroom were small but clean. Not a lot of noise from the closeby beachroad. Airco was good, not noisy. Daystaff spoke sufficient English, nightstaff could use a couple of lessons more. Breakfast was not that good. Better go outside and have a coffee and a roll at Opus caffee or Le Gout at some 5-10min walking. That you had to pay for Wifi is so pre-war; suggest to change the policy here. Location to beach (Astir and Balux) and shopping/nightlife street in Glyfada us great.
