We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights towards the end of April. The weather was beautiful and they have the most beautiful setting on the 21st floor with stunning vistas. However the interior was open but the terrace around the pool closed for maintenance. We went several times over the 2 days and eventually they were filling the pool. No other visible maintenance being done and we could not go into the terrace. Several guests enquired about the use of the pool or area.
There was no hot water on the first day of our trip and made it so difficult to take very cold shower. Thankfully was fixed on the second day. Lobby looks very good BUT the rooms need renovation. My eyes were so Red probably because of the air circulating inside the room. Breakfast was great.
Terrible stay and terrible hotel. We have been to many countries, to different hotels, but this one is very unaccpetable. Receptionists were very rude and unpleasant specially the arrogant Katherina, who always frown whenever she sees an ASIAN. They treat guests with racial discrimination. It was very unfortunate that we came here..the worst of the worsts..we cannot recommend this hotel. Dont be deceived by their hotel name, PRESIDENT, and their newly renovated lobby. They have pool but without water and with DIRTY SURROUNDINGS. If you will ask for a hot water, since they dont provide an electric kettle, you will be charged with 3 Euros. They also dont provide slippers and toothbrush. The toilet bowl is very dirty..they have problem with they toilet flushes.. SO TO ALL ASIAN PEOPLE, THINK TWICE BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS HOTEL. THEY THINK THAT THEY ARE BETTER THAN US JUST BECAUSE THEIR COMPLEXION IS WHITE, BUT IT’S ALL THEY HAVE, A WHITE SKIN, BUT ATTITUDE WISE, -100 (negative 100). REMEMBER, WE MAY BE ASIANS, BUT SOME OF US ARE PROFESSIONALS TOO, SOME ARE DOCTORS, LAWYERS, NURSES, ENGINEERS AND ETC..BUT EVEN IF WE ARE NOT, WE DESERVE TO BE RESPECTED AS A HUMAN BEING.. PS: Their elevator is grounded , scary
We stayed here two nights during our vacation in Greece. The rooms are very nice. One of the nights we were on the 16th floor and had a memorable view of the lighted Acropolis at night. Free breakfast buffet was large with foods for every taste. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Close to central Athens. Walking distance to Archeological Museum which definitely requires a visit.
Stayed at this hotel in March 2018 as part of my mother’s 60th birthday. I have to say I was pleased throughout my stay. Even before we arrived, I had emailed the hotel regarding certain requests and they were able to accommodate me. When we arrived, the reception was clean and welcoming. Nicely decorated with marble. The staff were very helpful with queries especially Angela at the desk. Our rooms were presentable, slightly dated but clean for the majority. Bathroom was nice. The breakfast at the hotel was decent, nothing really special. Same breakfast pretty much everyday but still nice and warm. The staff in the breakfast hall were truly nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend going to the pent house at the very top floor. The views there are absolutely amazing. The pool will buy great in the summer months. The restaurant there is plush with nice food and drinks. There is also a bar downstairs if you just want to chill. The surroundings of the hotel is ‘ok’ not much to see or do shopping. I would recommend you going to the center for this. Great bus links but I would advise you to buy your bus tickets at the airport as we had a tough time getting tickets. Nearest metro about 10 mins walk away, you can buy tickets there and connect to attractions in Greece. Overall pleased with the hotel and how we were treated by staff. Would recommend.
We stayed here because it was booked by our tour. The hotel staff were not super nice or helpful from the go but since it was our first time in Athens we chalked it up to us being entitled Americans. The location is great and there is a kick@ss bakery/cafe across the street. It’s minutes away from the heart of downtown and it’s an easy subway or cheap cab ride there. However, location is really all this place has going for it. The food was ridiculously expensive and we weren’t even allowed outside on the roof top restaurant/pool because the pool was closed. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows were so awful that they literally gave us pains in the neck. With all the great hotels in Athens this place needs to step their game up if they want continued business.
Difficult communication with reservation desk. As it was the recommended hotel for a business trip I booked it through hotel, needed several emails and reminders. The reception is not efficient at all at check in and check out. Arrived early at the hotel, around 9 am. We were 5 persons, I had sent all information month prior and I had a written confirmation from the hotel. I had to provide again the information(names, rooms). They took all the passports and started check in. It took them about 20 minutes or more. Finally they told us - we can check in after 14h, and that we may leave our luggage in the luggage compartment. Why this took them so long?! We came back for check in after 14h, it took them again about 20 minutes because they wanted to prepay all the rooms. Usually this happens at check out and you receive invoice. Here NO. We paid everything at check in. And we received invoice at check out, which was around 5 am. I went the night prior to ask them to issue the invoice in order to spend time so early in the morning, but it was not possible. Their system works like this. The room It was fine, spacious with view. But shabby and dusty. No mini bar. The WiFi was fine and free. The breakfast was fine, but no espresso, only nespresso. The hotel location is not the best if you are a tourist. It's about 3,3 km from the historic centre, around 50 minutes walking to Syntagma square. But there is a metro station close - 10 minutes walk. Arriving from the airport- you may take the metro, but it is 10 EUR the ticket. If you are 3 persons it is better to take a taxi - around 35 EUR.
It’s not so cheap but it’s in a good location there’s many nearest shops and 5 mintutes walking from the nearest train station, the rooms are clean but the theme of the room a bit old and they are small ones, the food was good, the staff there are helpful.
The hotel was generally good, but it was one of the big issues, and the reception was very tedious and precarious, because we had previously requested hotel credit from a credit card, but when we went to the hotel, that's why the holder The card is unavailable and you have to pay the money and even got my brother calling his card in his name and I had both phone calls and email confirmation but they refused We paid cash for the room and unfortunately, as I requested the room with a double bed, I opened my room with two single beds for my wife and I.
I was very disappointed when I entered the room on the 15th floor. Dirty, few facilities and generally things I didn’t expect to find in such a hotel. Breakfast was unnecessarily much just for those who like to overindulge. They could cut some expenses from there and renovate some more rooms. Regarding the internet, I have been to hotels in remote places with better WiFi than this one. The only thing worth paying for is the astonishing view and location.
