Everytime I stay in Athens I stay in Pergamos hotel. The rooms and public areas are clean, rooms are simple but sufficient. Budget hotel with simple but good breakfast. Situated in Omonia district which is not that nice are to walk around and locals say it´s not even safe. But from Omonia you can easily go to the city centre with 15 minutes walk which is convenient. Also, you can easily get to Gazi - party place in Athens within 5-10 minutes by taxi for 10€. Try to choose the side of your room facing to the street so you get the balcony. On the other side there is another house just 2 meters from your windows.
We stayed only for 2 nights and we think is a good budget hotel, for 2 3 nights. It is centrally located close to the metro, the room was big enough and clean The area where the hotel is located feels a bit unsafe and dirty. The breakfast has very few choice. Reception was friendly and helpful.
Yes, the location itself is good-10min walking distance from the Metro Omonia-great, but you'll stay in the dirty and not really safe district! Find another hotel! Breakfast is good-4*, room-2*, location-1*. Room is very small, which was offered for 2 adults and 1 child. Shower...only tab with curtain. If you take shower, water is spreading all over the rest-room. Not recommend! However the pictures taken do not show the real impression when you step-up into the room.
We were sceptic about the hotel after reading the reviews, but we found our room to be exactly what to expect and a Lil more (we had room 504). We had no problem in the reception, and the size was perfect for two travellers who doesn't spend all their time at the hotel. The room had a decent bed, aircondition, hairdryer and bathroom. We had difficulties with the WiFi, but that is it. All in all quite satisfied and wanted to give the hotel 2,5 stars.... Not bad, Not fancy.
Overall good budget hotel for 2-3 days stay. Rooms are small but clean. Wi-fi works fine in the rooms. Beds are comfortable enough to have a good sleep. it is located centrally with an attractive price. Staffs are very co-operative. I enjoyed my stay here.
Staff speak good English and Spanish. They are nice. There´s a lift in case you are on the 7th+ floor. A/C in the room (set up for 19C always but that´s good). Cleaning every day (such a helpful and caring cleaning lady) Good value for money. It´s perfect for backpackers and travelers on budget. We felt comfortable and safe. Good breakfast (without fruits). Quiet hotel. Omonia is said to be dangerous, but it´s not. It looks less cared for but there are some amazing cafés and pastry shops.
The guy that runs reception at night is incredibly rude for no reason. The rooms are pokey, and the bathrooms tiny. The WiFi does not work, at all. They told me you can't connect if too many people try to access it at one time, but there's a separate router on each floor servicing about 5 rooms each, so that's nonsense.
The highlight of this place was to stay on the top floor and when we looked out of the window we saw the Acropolis. Fantastic experience. I loved the location as it was very near the centre. The price was reasonable. I would pay more attention to the quality of breakfast if I were them.
Stayed overnight in this wee hotel in Athens. Is in the Omonia area of Athens. Convenient for the subway, and a short walk to the famous Omonia Square. One part was a bit shady, but the rest of the area was fine. Like any huge city- just be sensible. Don't be out and about late at night. Perfectly fine during the day . The hotel itself was brilliant value. We had a room and breakfast for €30. Okay- breakfast was a bit Spartan, (continental) , but was ok. The rooms are painted in weird colours, but are lovely and clean, and the bathroom is tiny but really well thought out, with everything you need. We loved the quirkiness of this little place. You couldn't stay more than a couple of days there, I think, or the lack of space might get to you. But brilliant for an overnight. Really liked this wee place, and the reception staff were just lovely. Don't expect beautiful views from your room- it's in the middle of Athens, and not very pretty- but within walking distance to the Acropolis etc.
Stayed one night before our trip to one of the greek islands. Location might not be good for a solo female as it is around red light district. The double room is okay but the bathroom was very small, very hard to take a shower and what not. There are towels but no toiletries in the room. Good view of pergamon at night and acropolis from the room. Basic breakfast that ends at 9.30 even on sunday.
