OK - fridge frooze everything, no controls. A/C-heater didn't work. good staff

In the hotel we slept 3 nights. Great service very helpful. Rooms quite large, but the bathroom very small. Obese guests may have a problem. Breakfast is bread, canned ham, cheese and cornflakes. For this juice, filtered water and coffee / tea. Very close to Omonia Square, subway. On the roof terrace with a magnificent view of acropol and Lycabettus hill.

Traveling on a budget and took a chance on this hotel. I can say that our stay here was just fine. The shower has hot water, the elevator works, and the sheets are clean. Most importantly, you can't beat the price and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Offered us an umbrella when it was overcast and an Athens Tour Guide book as well. However, this hotel is not for everyone. It is in a rather boisterous neighborhood. Ladies of the night are a street corner down. Our cab driver/tour guide said it was a bad neighborhood due to immigrants. We had no problems walking in the neighborhood after midnight but it helps to be 6'2" and 240lbs. It is near a Metro stop (Omonia) just about 8 minutes away. Bottom line, I would stay there again but I wouldn't recommend it to my parents or friends that have children.
