First of all -friendly staff, everybody always ready to help you at any time. The room was very clean, as a member of accorhotels I received special attention. Complete breakfast with local specialities, big variety of food. I will definitely come back again.

I stayed at Novotel Athens for 2 nights this time. I felt it was good value for money, comfortable and fine for a base for a business trip. It was November and it would have been good if the room heating worked

we have been here 3 nights this weekend with my family whole (2 children , husband , grandmother) and found this hotel clean, renewed and not far from centre. the room is really nice and has everything for the family included a sofa bed. Downtown amenities are easily reachable by feet or you can pick metro that is not close but if you like, it is a 5 minutes walk. the sourronding is not that bad in respect of the city in the whole; just keep in mind to walk on large/trafficated roads instead of isolated secondary roads. to me the area is safe; the view of Partenone on the roof (with pool) is fantastic. I would come again for sure here.

First of all, the Novotel Athenes is very nice inside, the staff were great, and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood itself looks more than a bit dodgy, especially at night, but I never felt unsafe walking between the hotel and the Larissa metro station. However, I will never understand why a hotel would turn off the A/C to the entire building just because it goes below 15 degrees C outside (or whatever their threshold is). If the building is insulated properly, it won't be too cold inside, just because it's cold outside. And the Novotel is very well insulated. After asking about the lack of A/C in my room, I was told to open the windows (thus having to deal with city noise) and given a fan that had no speed control. There was also no hot water the 2nd morning, but this was fixed after I mentioned it to Reception.

stayed first time in this novotel and liked it as usual. room and breakfast was nice, wifi fast and had own parking place which is always nice for athens. walking distance to metro station and even center but since i was there for business, no chance to explore athen this time.

The hotel is wonderful - bright, clean, beautiful. The staff are very polite and helpful, always smiling. I stayed for only two nights and frankly wished I had stayed for more. The room was comfortable and spotless. The breakfast was scrumptious and with plentiful choice: I particularly enjoyed the delicious scrambled egg. My only gripe was that in the bathroom there was no shower cap, but that really is a small matter. It is a pity that it is situated in a scruffy, run-down area, away from the city's centre. My friend and I went out in the evening and did not feel safe, we immediately returned to the hotel. The location does not fit such a splendid hotel. The roof top restaurant was closed at this time of the year, but the area is still accessible and you can see the Acropolis in the distance.

Last in Athens 7 years ago, and the City has taken a bashing since then. The Novotel is a diamond in the rough. If you can ignore the graffiti and general scruffiness of the area - the hotel is a gem. Taxi service great.

I stayed at the Novotel Athens for three nights when visiting Athens with my wife and 2-year old daughter. The size of the room was good, it had all the facilities you expect, and it had a convenient additional sofa-bed for the child. The room and the rest of the hotel was nice, comfortable, and clean, but not particularly fancy. The breakfast was good, with fresh orange juice and other types of juice, yoghurts, cereals, different pastries, fruit, a selection of cheese and cold meat, as well as some hot dishes. The restaurant also had a nice outside-area, which we would have enjoyed if the weather was warmer. The play-area in the lobby was a bit smaller than we hoped for, but had some fun toys for the girl to play with. The rooftop area looked really great, with a nice pool, views over the city, a bar, and a restaurant. Wish it was warmer outside so we could have used these great facilities! Location is OK, but could of course have been more central in regard to the attractions on/around Acropolis. It was about a 15-minutes’ walk to the nearest metro, and about 30 minutes to Acropolis. Ask for a quiet room facing the backyard; in case the air-conditioning is switched of and the weather is warm, you can sleep with the window open.

I had family package for around 105 EUR a night for 2 adults and 2 children. I did not had such a low offer never in any Novotel. Of course there are reasons for this. Here they are: 1. Location - place full of immigrants from arabs, africans to albanians and bulgarians. It was not dangerous but dirty and unpleasant. There are 2 interesting supermarkets in proximity on Loision Str. They are left side once you go out of hotel, opposite to each other offering products from Bulgaria - MF Market and Varna Market. Go there and buy bulgarian yogurt (very helthy thing), cheap BG wine but of very good quality and herbal tea (Bulgaria has low industrialisation, it is clean nature and herbs are gathered from forest and fields, not agricalturally planted), so teas like mint, camomile etc. are of very good quality - natural and bio. 2. Taxi from hotel to city centre is around 5 EUR. The hotel has contract with company Taxiplon staying in front of the hotel. I was charged once from a short guy who looks like latinos and constantly is in front of Novotel 10 EUR for the service that others were charging me 5-6 EUR before. In order not to tolerate cheating since that moment I moved to UBER service. It works very fast and reliable. 3. Hotel - ground floor is rennovated and looks as per Novotel standards. Upstairs picture was different. Room was very old. In addition all the cosmetic rennovations are very poorly done. Paint was staining everywhere and never cleaned after repainting. Carpet has been changed, but they kept the old skiring boards - aged, dirty and old fashioned. Curtains had some wholes. Mirrors are aged. Quality of the masterbed was very good, but the expandable sofas were with very thin matraces - very unconfortable. 4. Hygene - the hotel has a major problem with the chambermaid service. Bathrooms and toilet (separate) need major and thorough cleaning in order to be worn out but stil friendly and shining. The painted wall in the toilet was stained, ventilator not working, tiles need to be cleaned in order to reshine. Bathroom is visibly aged. Corners have mould, glasses has to be treated more seriouslhy in order to get rid of the limestone and scale. There is one piece of hair that was staying in the corner next to the bathroom sink from my wife in day number 1. On last day it was still there... 5. Brekfast - typical food for such hotels. You will not be impressed, but never will stay hungry. 6. Internet - fast and easy to connect. Generally it was good for the price.

Overall we are happy with novotel Athens. Is approx 7 min walk from Larissa station. Our room hv a sofa bed with balcony. We arrived ard 11am, the hotel staff allow us to check in early (1 room ) that is a plus point as it gave us a proper room place to rest after 16 hours of flight. It is very safe to walk from Larissa station to the hotel even at night ( ard 9pm ). Room are spacious and breakfast are superb. Roof top bar is a must visit( superb view of evening arcopolis n Athens sunset ). All the hotel staff are friendly and very good customer experience.
