Kefalari Suites, is a small boutique hotel, situated within a few minutes walk of the beautiful shops and restaurants of Kifisia. All staff are extremely welcoming from the moment you walk through the main doors. The rooms are very clean and delightfully decorated. They have different cultural themes, and are named accordingly. We took the last room available, called Africa, which was a large room, with the addition of a kitchenette and a separate seating area. It had lovely high ceilings and tall windows which opened out to a small balcony overlooking the street below. The bathroom had a bath with a shower over it. For the warmer months there is a common room and roof terrace with a jacuzzi and sunbeds. There is no gym, but there is the facility to use the gym and pool of Semiramis Hotel across from Kefalari Square. Breakfast was intimate with only enough seating for seven people, however, we did not have to wait for a table. There was a very good selection of hot and cold foods. A mini bar, located next to the dining room, is free to all guests, at any time. It has an espresso machine, tea, cake, biscuits, chocolate, nuts, fruit, cold drinks and even wine. This adds a lovely touch to the exceptional service this hotel provides. We found the hotel small but lovely and quiet, in a fantastic location. We would visit again.
I stayed in Kefalari suites during one of my business trips to Athens and it was really a good choice - located just 2 minutes from the Kifisia shopping area, but at the same time in a very quiet street. Rooms are individually decorated, very nice, very clean and either with balcony or small terrace - also suites are available. There is also a roof terrace with nice view and I also found jacuzzi on the roof terrace. Last but not least - great atmosphere of “old time luxury” thanks to fresh flowers in the corridors, just few rooms on each floor and small details - for example old time brass room door bells. The breakfast room is small, but is accessible all day and you can enjoy your coffee or drink there. During weekends breakfast is served in Yes hotel - just a minute walk from Kefalari suites.
Would recommend staying in Kifisia to savor the beautiful neighbourhood away from the city center hassle. The hotel is a residence style building located in Kefalari the best part of Kifisia. Large and comfortable rooms with kitchenette facilities. Rooms are very well decorated however common areas especially breakfast room was too small. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a homey-feeling boutique style accommodation in Kifisia.
We stayed for one night in Kefalari suites, more specifically in Aqaba superior suite, on the event of a special occasion. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and always eager to assist the guests upon any demand. The room was spacious, comfortable and cosy with a sense of a classic, old-fashioned noble style. Balcony was great as well as the rest of amenities and facilities provided. The only issue was a lingering unpleasant smell coming from the permanent carpet creating a bit of discomfort when balcony door was shut. Breakfast satisfactory. In general terms, it was an enjoyable stay and value for money.
A nice hotel in a beautiful neoclassical building which has been converted to a boutique hotel. The location is great as the area offers a variety of choices for food/drinks and shopping or even if you want to go for a walk in a nice full of green area. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are made with character. Note that due to the building some of the rooms might not be too big. We have booked a superior double room but with a small baby and a travel cot there wasn't much space in the room. Be aware that the elevator is also small and vintage. So large objects like a pram won't fit very well in along with an adult (unless you close it). The reception is manned until 11:00pm after which you have to go to the hotel across the street (Twentyone hotel). Breakfast has few limited options while on the second day (Saturday) we were told that breakfast was to be served at the other hotel. A plus is that the area where breakfast is served is open 24hours and there are soft drinks and refreshments available along with few nibbles.
This is a lovely hotel; all rooms are suites. Spacious, spotless clean, in an unbeatable location close to eateries and shopping. It cannot be faulted where its features are concerned whether the room, the balconies and the bathroom. You have free access to a well stocked minibar near the lobby that is full almost from morning to night with soft drinks, wine, water not to mention coffee, cake and cookies. You take your breakfast at the sister hotel 21 across the street and you get access to the pool of yet another sister hotel, Semiramis, that is less than a five minute walk. So in a nutshell, this is a treasure of a hotel. Now, that aside, the most incredible amazing feature of all three hotels is ITS PEOPLE. The staff is incredible: efficient, warm, friendly, genuinely caring and going seriously out of their way to help, even without your asking them to do so. We were warmly greeted by the lovely Monica who was full of smiles and real warmth and informed us of a complimentary upgrade. She carried our luggage and without being asked lent my elderly mother a hand to walk up to the room. Genuine care. Monica was not alone, Maria her colleague was equally charming and helpful with a lovely smile that always greeted you coming in and leaving. The senior Maria always had a nice word to say, stopping to chat and check if we needed anything, asking about my mother and sharing jokes. She did not have to do any of this; again genuine care. Same goes for Yanis from the front desk, as well as Dimitria, Vicki and Kiriakos the cleaning crew. Those three bent almost backwards to make sure that our every wish was met, again with genuine care and not just out of duty. Those are good hearted people. I cannot not mention the warm, smiling and jovial Makis from the breakfast team at 21. Always meeting us with a wide smile, rushing with his cordial and friendly colleague Khristos to help get cushions and a comfy chair for my mother. Makis would daily recommend special omelette, pancakes and juices that he freshly prepared; all in a warm kind non obtrusive very friendly manner. The staff at the front desk of both 21 and Semiramis were equally kind. The staff of this hotel made our stay all the more memorable. Their care, kindness and efficiency will probably be one of the main reasons to return to Kefissia. Hint to management: hold on to the staff. They are a valuable treasure. Hint to tourists: stay at kefalari or any of the sister hotels. They are the best.
Our family of five were fortunate enough to stay at Kefalari Suites on the interim prior to moving into our permanent Housing. What makes this place so special is how personal and cosy it feels - homely yet luxurious; the amazing service (our rooms were cleaned and prepared on a daily basis with great efficacity and attention to detail); a wonderful breakfast every morning along with an honesty bar and most importantly, the staff especially at front desk who, ensured that our everyday was as wonderful as the next. I highly recommend staying here and would find any excuse to come back! This is a place run by people who know what hospitality really means. We stayed at the Deck suite which was just perfect for us.
I travel a lot for business. This hotel was refreshing and different from the corporate type hotels I usually stay. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast is simple. You can order omelets, pancakes and other items. The area for breakfast is small but nice because you interact with other guests. You can also use the space for coffee and tea at other times if the day. The area is nice and you can walk to many places. I had one day for fun. Joanna at the front desk gave me great suggestions. She also helped me with transportation. I took the train/metro to Athens. Saw many of the sights. The train is 2€ each way. The system is easy to navigate. Finally the rooms were clean and quiet. I have no complaints. It was a great stay. I will definitely stay again!
This was a lovely place to stay during my 2 week stay in Athens for a business trip. Cosy, clean and modern rooms, each with its own theme. My room had a hallway, mini kitchen, large wardrobes, spacious bathroom, a balcony and a lovely, extremely comfortable bed! This was "Hydra" room. My colleague was in "Melody", this had all the same features but more of one large room separated by a wall in the kitchen with a bathroom also. Breakfast was lovely, with staff making you coffee and offering to cook you things that weren't out for the buffet. They called and arranged all our taxis. Would really recommend this hotel as a place to stay. It does not have a gym but there is access to a gym in a nearby hotel. There is however a roof terrace with a balcony and sun loungers if you are there in the sunny months! If you need to get into the centre of Athens you can walk 10 minutes to the metro and get a return train ride for less than €2 and its takes about 25 minutes, or you can of course get a taxi. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby, the hotel even gave us some good suggestions.
Kifissia isn't downtown Athens- the Acropolis etc are a bit of a trek- but Kifissia is a charming, quiet but chic, residential area and Kefalari Suites reflects that aspect. There are many great restaurants and shops very nearby- on weekends the neighborhood is buzzing with activity. The rooms are very comfortable, the service is unobtrusive yet friendly, lovely breakfasts and a very quaint elevator!
