It is a different choice than a hotel but a very nice choice. George and Maria, married 58 years, have 5 apartments to rent. George came to pick us up from the airport for 20 euros. There was a stove and an oven for warming food. There was tea and coffee. There was a candy dish that I had to hide from my wife.

Our 2-bedroom apartment here was spacious and comfortable. The housekeeping is immaculate. We arrived at 10 am, and Maria graciously stored our luggage until check-in time. We walked two blocks down the street to Coffee Rise and then went one more block to Red Pepper for lunch at noon. Our apartment was ready by the time we returned. The next morning, Giorgio drove us to the airport at 3:15 am. Who could ask for anything more?

Close to airport. Clean. Offered pickup and drop off service to airport for slightly cheaper rate than cabs. Basically everything I needed to catch early morning return flight home. I left my phone in the car after getting dropped off at airport. George immediately drove back to give it to me. Lifesaver. So glad I stayed with them and used their car service.

This is the perfect place to stay if you need to be close to the Athens airport without runway sounds. You can also arrange for a driver to pick you up or drop you off, and get suggestions for places to eat. We would go back there again.
