You get a full value for yor money. Very simple, but confortable room, good breakfast and great staff. Used a subway to commute, found it cheap and very convinient (5 days ticket - 10 euro).

I took the tour bus recommended by the hotel. This bus is great takes you to all the tourist sights and runs like clock work. 24 hour sandwich and coffee shop right across the street from the hotel. Good food and great service. The tour bus was less then half block from hotel so I used it for 4 days to get around town.

The hotel was small and older, but clean. The location was good for access to the metro, but did not feel like a good neighborhood to walk around in at night. Athens was generally dirty and had a lot of vandalism, and our neighborhood was no exception. The bathroom was very small, but the water pressure was great! The staff was friendly, and helpful. Low cost was a big plus for us.

The hotel was super! The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. It was close to the Metro Station! Fridge in room, air conditioner worked! Breakfast had cooked eggs and meats.

good location right next to a metro station and one stop from the train station. rooms were basic but clean. the breakfast was free including scrambled and boiled eggs, juices, various breads, Greek yogurt, granola cereal, ham and cheese slices, coffee and tea.

We enjoyed our stay here at the Apollo Hotel. The staff was helpful and the room was practical. It doesn't have a lot of amenities, but it worked for what we needed. Centrally located, with a lot of cabs around. We were out of the room a lot; seeing Athens, but when we were in the room, it was comfortable. There's internet access downstairs. It worked for us!

stayed there 5 nights , ordered wake up call twice and once was called 40 minutes late , but once not at all . air condition did not work . Wi-Fi worked maybe 5 hours out of our 5 nights stay . Rooms were clean but very simple furniture . Double beds separate one from another so be careful turning around at night

The bed/mattress needs to be fixed as it is not comfortable and makes quirky noises when turning on it. Also inconvenience due to very limited electric outlets in room. On the other hand, room price is good, hotel is very conveniently located next to metro station and staff is fairly friendly.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ample and well prepared. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. My balcony was over a noisy street, but the (apparently recent) double-paned sliding doors virtually eliminated the street noise. The location is splendid--three minutes from the Metro. For the money, one of the best experiences I've had.

Was Ok for us, it is near to the metro station and easy to move where ever you want to go arroud the city. Good price value option.

This is a good reasonably priced location near a Metro station in a city where the clean and inexpensive Metro covers everything worth seeing. The rooftop bar has friendly service and a great view of the Acropolis. The 24-hour snack shop across the street is also a nice local hangout.

I chosed at this hotel based on the great reviews. It was a total disappointment for me. First of all, the hotel is not in a central or safe location. As a single travelling woman, it was very important to me. Rooms were not sound proof at all. You could hear all the conversations happening at the next door. They put together two twins and made double bed. Beside, they were squeaking so badly. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very generous. Staff was very helpful and polite. There is a mini supermarket a block away from the hotel, as well as a bakery if you'd like to try local food and make yourself a sandwich for lunch to save some money.

For the price of the hotel, the amenities were adequate along with the location. But the air conditioning in the room was horrible, they would forget to call you for the wake up call and the reception desk personel would smoke which was very annoying. Some of the personnel at reception just could not be bothered to help. The location was defiinitely in an area of pick pocketing and crime so it was best not to go out too late from the hotel. Definitely not take the metro and walk late at night to the hotel.

is good close to station , some recep. nice, nice view to acropolis a recimet

The hotel is ok, the staff is nice, the buffet breakfast is very good. The internet in the main lobby is good but in the room, the signal is very weak. The view from the 7th floor is good cause we have a view of the Acropolis and you can take a drink while watching the lighted Acropolis at night. The metro station Methaghourio is very close.

The shortcomings are not the fault of the staff, all of whom were extremely helpful and polite. The neighborhood is not good; there are no restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, or any other creature comforts nearby. The only thing the neighborhood boasts is the Metro station. The rooms are sparse, but clean, and have everything one would require from a hotel. I will say, however, that two twin mattresses pushed together do not a "queen" bed make.

The staff was very helpful and let us use their printer and fax machine. Wifi in room was weak but functional. Beds not very comfortable. A/c is set at 25 degrees. It is on a busy street, but double-paned balcony made the noise tolerable. Breakfast was more than enough to fill us up. Very close to metro. Room was clean but had a funny smell. The area seemed to be a lot safer than Omonia etc.

Very helphul, supportive and smiling staff. Very good cleaning everyday, good enoug breakfast. I could not say it is 3 stars tough, twin beds are a bit small and uncomfortable. Overal we are happy to stay with my daughter...

Main reason to write this review comes from the excellent service [...]front desk clerk gave me during my stay. Though all the clerks were helpful. [...]really took the initiative in making my visit to Athens complete. She answered my questions and advised must see spots for the things I wanted to see. To top it off my last full day I planned to just go to the port taking no cruise just site see the docks. [...]took time to explain the time and cost of a day trip that would best suit my time frame. This made it so I now can say "I visited a Greek Island". I can't thank her enough for the memorable moment that was not planned for for greatly enjoyed. As for the room, it was exceptionally clean each day, bathroom appeared just remodeled though very very very tiny it was super clean. Very small room but each day when I returned it was like the maid took pride in making it nice. The free breakfast could have been better, but filling. Real milk and real orange juice would have been nice. Location was great, 1 block from metro I shot one of my weekly TV programs on the garden roof with Acropolis in the background. Marion explain how to get to the bus station for Delphi and the train station to Corinth (day trips I took) so it was just a few minutes to the main sites. The street just outside the hotel would not be a first choice, but a grocery store a block away helped.John

The breakfast was quite good (bread, meats & cheeses, eggs, yogurt etc.), but the bed was hard (cardboard hard, though it's a double), the shower was tiny (I couldn't fit and the water sloshed all over the place-but if you're use to Italian hotels, this shouldn't bother you), it can get occasionally loud, and there was construction (I believe they are fixing the showers). It's a working-class neighborhood, lots of stores around it, you can hear the traffic (it's pretty loud), but it's convenient to the tourist areas (about a 10-minute walk).
