great location near the turistic area. nice people. good for a few nights

The Amalia is a renovation of an old hotel. The rooms are completely redone and modern, but they retain the small size and awkward argonomics of the original rooms. The hotel’s location just off Syntagma Square, across Amalias Boulevard from the National Gatden and the Tomb of the Unknowns, is terrific. However, there are several, more comfortable hotels in this price range. Book the Amalia if you can get an ultra competitive room rate. Otherwise, shop the competition.

The front desk was very friendly and as an orbits vip upgraded us to a great room with a balcony with a fantastic view on the top floor.

Nice hotel and nice view. The free breakfast was a plus!

easy walking to shoping, restaurants and goverment buildings.

Fantastic views from room and roof deck. The most amazing buffet breakfast I’ve ever seen in a hotel.

Great hotel and location. Fabulous breakfast. Amazing views from our room.

Great location. Amazing breakfast & friendly staff.

Hotel Manager is friendly and the hotel employees r all nice. the location is only 45 mins drive to the airport using the X95 bus. Cost around 6 euros pp (one way). overall, is a good hotel.

This is a 4 star hotel, nicely located near the tourist sites. The check in was quick. I speak no Greek. So the front desk staff was welcoming and spoke very good English. Elevators were a little narrow by American standards. But our room was modern and spacious. Very clean. Housekeeping staff we saw, were polite. We stayed here one night on the front of our trip send again on the end. Great views from our balcony of a park. Right across from a Sight-seeing get on, get off bus. I lived the locsyion, close to great shops and restaurants. I would highly recommend. The included breakfast offered a lot of variety of both traditional Greek and western type breakfast (scrambled eggs, sausage etc.). The wait staff was friendly and very helpful. Showed me how to prepare Greek coffee!

Great location. Convenient location - right opposite the paliament building and walking distance to Plaka. 3 beds in the room made the space quite tight. Breakfast is excellent - don't miss it. They also let me do a late check-out by 1 hour. This helped since we had time to do some shopping before checking out and catching the flight

We really enjoyed our stay. It is situated in a prime location, next to Syntagma square. Room was spacious. Breakfast is great. Roim was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Absoulutly recommended. Our room faced the street so it was a little noisy unless the window is closed. The balcony is not reachable. Other than than, everything was just perfect.

This is a good hotel with great breakfast. However, the room has no clock, double bed rooms only have small single beds, and there is no swimming pool, so it cannot be rated as a four star hotel by American hotel standards. Great walking distance to all attractions such as Acropolis, Parthenon, temples, restaurants and markets.

We had a room with nice view over the parliament, mount lycabettus and national park room was nice and clean, no electric kettle for tea/coffee, slippery bathtub faucets are uncomfortable.A bit noisy at night.national park and parliament are just across the hotel. All attractions are near by about 15-20 minutes walking while axploring the nice streets and alleys. Many restuarents in the area. Beware of pickpockets at ancient AGora...we lost our cell phone there.

This hotel is a great place to stay with a great helpful staff. The location could not be better. Easy walking to great must see sights in Athens. Our room was excellent. I looked at several hotels before booking, and it may have been pure luck on my part but I couldn't be happier with my choice. I would choose this hotel again without any reservations.

This was a very good experience as the staff were very friendly and the location - however the hotel needs a little bit refurbishing

A fantastic stay in Athens in a beautiful room at Amalia Hotel near Syntagma Square. Arrived to find our room ready for us and upgraded to a suite at no additional cost. Views of Athens and the National Gardens and Parliament from the wrap-around balcony; could see the changing of the guards every hour. Included breakfast was very satisfying, many choices from sweet to savory, all nicely prepared. Room very comfortable including the bed, sound-proof windows, TV's in each room, large bathroom. View of Acropolis all to ourselves from the lounge on the roof. Staff were top tier in all areas, quick, attentive, competent and friendly. Location is a block from Syntagma Square but also near Plaka and other districts for variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options. We walked everywhere!

Unexpectedly, neat perfect. Lived that right on the edge of Plaka. Within walking distance of most significant sites.

Very nice hotel in a central excellent location right next to Syntagma square. Close to shopping, food and tourist attractions. Clean, neat rooms with a great rooftop deck for lookouts and sunsets. Great free breakfast selection as well!
