A fantastic stay in Athens in a beautiful room at Amalia Hotel near Syntagma Square. Arrived to find our room ready for us and upgraded to a suite at no additional cost. Views of Athens and the National Gardens and Parliament from the wrap-around balcony; could see the changing of the guards every hour. Included breakfast was very satisfying, many choices from sweet to savory, all nicely prepared. Room very comfortable including the bed, sound-proof windows, TV's in each room, large bathroom. View of Acropolis all to ourselves from the lounge on the roof. Staff were top tier in all areas, quick, attentive, competent and friendly. Location is a block from Syntagma Square but also near Plaka and other districts for variety of shopping, dining and entertainment options. We walked everywhere!

Unexpectedly, neat perfect. Lived that right on the edge of Plaka. Within walking distance of most significant sites.

Very nice hotel in a central excellent location right next to Syntagma square. Close to shopping, food and tourist attractions. Clean, neat rooms with a great rooftop deck for lookouts and sunsets. Great free breakfast selection as well!

The hotel is very clean, in a great location. The rooms are very clean, and comfortable. Staff is very professional, and helpful.

Great hotel but considerable street noise. Cooling system was not working and opening a window made street noise unbearable.

In the middle of everything within walking distance of the Parliament building, museums, gardens, palaces, etc. Superb breakfast buffet.

Really nice and clean, great breakfast, the best location, close to everything. Will stay here on our next trip to Athens.

Great location, we only spent 1 day in Athens and were able to walk everywhere. Close to the train station and the main sites. The furniture and carpets could use a renovation.

Excellent location, very good in all other aspects. I would stay here again.

Check in was fine. Waited about 5-10 mins and we were told that we were upgraded with the view of the gardens and an extra bed was provided for my 5 year old. Only thing is the room on 2nd floor was so noisy so we requested for a room away from the street. So the next day we were transferred to the 3rd floor and all the way back and finally it was a quiet room, a little bit smaller than the other one and a smell of the sewer was uncomfortable in the bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. A very nice lady helped me to fix a Greek coffee. The receptionist were very helpful and answered all our questions. Had some drink at the bar and even gave me some nuts/pistachios to go with my drink. The location is perfect, very close to everything. My family had a great time.

We spent our last two nights in Greece at the Amalia Hotel. The price was decent, considering all it has to offer. It was quiet, comfortable, and one block from Syntagma, the tram, the metro and the X95 bus to the airport. The buffet breakfast offers a huge variety of fruit, breads, eggs, sausage, the works. And we were offered free in-room Wi-Fi during our stay. Our room was a little small. But with all that's available within a few blocks, we didn't spend much time there anyway. A great accommodation.

Location was excellent. Room was adequate but on the smaller side. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was great. The location was just perfect. The staff members were so helpful and always willing to assist with anything you had to ask. Highly recommended.
