Airotel Stratos Vassilikos Hotel

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

First time in Athens, Stayed for 2 night in the way to Mykonos in 2 rooms with adult kids. Location is not ideal, bed matters and pillows very uncomfortable. The entire units and hallways cleaned with bleach like cleaner , bad odor. I have stayed at many hotels , don't like to do bad reviews but I have no idea how anyone has given 4 or 5 star to this hotel. It is 2 at max a 3 star I don't recommended it. Noisy , backs to Nissan mechanic shop. Try hotels in the Plaka district.

We had a great stay. The customer service was through the roof. Everyone was helpful from the concierge to the kitchen staff. Always with welcome faces and a smile. It was a great place to be on our first trip to Athens!

this hotel shows itself as a 4 or 5 star hotel, but quite frankly barely reaches a 3 star quality. The premises are worn down and untidy, in urgent need of a renovation. Location is 30 minute walk from downtown but a 10 minute taxi drive. The food is awful and it os evident they are cutting costs with amateur cooks and artificial juice for the breakfast buffet!! The only plus is the extremely helpful and kind staff.

Only stayed here for one night upon arrival and then another prior to departure from Athens. The staff was very nice and accommodating, from giving us directions to different areas of town and giving us breakfast to go for our early departure flight to santorini. Didn't get a chance to look around at amenities. Have a business center and free wi-fi which were convenient.

My friend and I recently stayed at this hotel while on holiday for a week this summer. The staff was great and answered all of our questions. They were also very helpful with restaurants and navigating the metro system. The metro stop is about a five minute walk away but it really isn't that bad. Once on the metro you can go anywhere in the city. The room was very inexpensive but also very spacious. The bathroom was very roomy compared to most European bathrooms. The breakfast in the morning was also very large with multiple choices. If you are staying in Athens you can not beat this hotel.

My sister and I stayed in Athens twice on our trip (island hopped and came back for the flight home). This was our second hotel. The hotel was great... very clean & comfortable, the hotel staff was super helpful and the breakfast buffet was delicious! It was a little bit out of the way for sight seeing areas but the metro was very close by. The train system in Athens is one of the easiest to figure out so it was no problem getting to wherever we needed to be.

Enjoy the city and hotel

Nice, clean hotel in a decent area - away from the main tourist sites, but convenient to the subway. There are restaurants, bars and other hotels within walking distance of the hotel. I stayed here for 2 nights at the end of my honeymoon - rooms were clean, beds comfortable, bathroom very nice. The walls are fairly thin though and my husband and I could here the couple next door going at it - not something you expect in a 5 star hotel. My main complaint about this hotel, however, is the service, specifically from the hotel concierge. First, my husband asked them to recommend a bar to watch soccer (there was a HUGE soccer game on that night, something that should be easy enough to find anywhere in Europe). They sent us to an area without a single bar with a TV. We ended up finding our own place in a different neighborhood. But the most egregious error was when the concierge told us that it takes 15 minutes by Metro to get the airport. I took us 1 hour and 15 minutes! Granted it was a Sunday, and trains weren't traveling as frequently, but they should have accounted for that. We almost missed our flight and had to run through the airport carrying our luggage. Not a relaxing way to end the trip!

very short stay. the beds were very hard and uncomfortable

Clean and neat lobby, but you stay in the rooms which are spartan at best. There are are no carpets in the hallways (wood floors). The elevator is 3 feet square and has 2 doors an inner door and an outer door, which is a manual opening door. The bed is hard as a rock with rough sheets and thin cotton blanket. This is a 2 star at best, you really must avoid it unless you like paying for torture. Between 2 gasoline stations. Just the worst place I have ever stayed at. It is neat and clean but nothing else. Don't be duped by the phony 5 star rating this is a horrible place to stay. Uncomfortable at best.
