GREAT APARTMENT IN REALLY INTERESTING AREA OF ATHENS

We only secured this apartment the day before we flew to Athens as our previous host cancelled our original booking that morning! We were in total panic. However, so glad we found this alternative - turned out great for us- and the company were so professional and great at communicating. The apartment is as described in listing - small but has everything you need for a short stay and is very clean and comfortable. We loved the balcony too - with a (sideways) view of the Acropolis and down towards Piraeus. Loved sitting out there in the evening. We weren't sure of the area at first. It's pretty rundown in parts but ended up loving it. Gazi is one of those up and coming areas - every time you turn a corner you discover a really interesting side street/great bars and restaurants/ art studios/indie theatre companies etc ..and the Kerameikos metro is only 5-10 mins walk away from the apartment. There's a supermarket 5 mins walk away for all your supplies too. It's on the 4th floor - there is a small lift and then one flight of stairs to climb to front door. wouldn't work for anyone with mobility issues though. We ended up loving this place and would go back in a heartbeat - we just didn't have enough time to fully explore the area and we know there's a lot more to uncover!
