Historic hotel in the heart of downtown. Small room which we expected. Clean sheets and towels. Open windows had much conversation from other rooms. Front desk attendant was new and inexperienced. Free lobby coffee and voucher for coffee shop was nice. Flashing light from behind TV was annoying.

The front desk person was very nice, but I think the norm now with many hotels - is to have minimal staff at front desk. She didn't give me a receipt when I checked in, and they had already charged my room. I think that is because there is no refund if you cancel within a day or something. There was a sign at the front desk - to call a number or email if we need anything. We really enjoyed our room and everything else. Great location.

The Commodore Hotel was a neat place to stay. The location is in the heart of downtown, so you have the ability to walk everywhere you need, without really any issues. The restaurant below (Broder Strand) had a great menu and coffee shop, and the place overall was friendly and welcoming. One of the best things is that it was dog-friendly, and most of Astoria is dog-friendly too, which made the experience even better.

This was such a lovely place to stay with character and comfort. We slept wonderfully, our bed was very comfortable-in fact so comfy my partner and I would like to know the retailer they use haha. We will be coming back no doubt. The staff were courteous and helpful. We stayed in the option of a private room and shared restroom and shower- as this was the only option for busy Memorial Day weekend. We wanted to stay here from the location and accommodations we researched. Pleasantly surprised by how well they kept things and the amenities provided to us. There is even an excellent breakfast option available next door called, “Stranded.” Parking was a little complicated for the busy weekend but, we managed and the town is quite walkable.

Classy old dated hotel. Our room was lovely, bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We wanted to stay in one of Astoria's haunted hotels while staying out at the coast, and while we didn't get every spooky thing we hoped for, we did get a couple unexplained experiences. Would love to stay here again. Only complaint (minor) was that we did a lap around a couple blocks before finding out that it's street parking only for this hotel. Had no problem getting a good parking space once that was sorted however.
