The Bowline Hotel is in an amazing location right on the Columbia River. Our room was very comfortable and the view was great. There were sea lions roaming under the pilings the hotel is build on, and in the water next to the hotel. The Bowline is in very easy driving distance to the museums and restaurants in Astoria, but the whole Astoria boardwalk area was not very lively the weekdays we were there. Parking is on the street unless you use the hotel's valet service. Our breakfast, which was not part of our room charge, was very nice. We would stay here again.

Nice location and hotel stay.

Pleasant reception, nice view, easy walking to center town activities. Bathroom well organized. Seals were loud but hotel provided earplugs. Valet parking worked well.

The location was great. Easy walk to downtown Astoria which is thriving. The room is a little minimalistic, but really has everything you need. Our room was on the water side with great sunsets and sunrises. The hotel is built on the wharf. There are sea lions nearby! But don't worry the room includes ear plugs if you have great hearing.

Unfortunately the room was noisier than any room I have experienced in 20-30 years and the bed was the worst bed I’ve ever had in a hotel and I paid for the best room in the hotel. Way over priced!

Very nice hotel, loved the modern, industrial vibe. Walkable, comfortable room with outstanding river views. The only downfall was the sea lions under the hotel, however mitigation was a white noise machine and earplugs!

This was a beautiful unique place to stay right on the waterfront! We were late getting into town and they had only one room left, so I believe we paid more than we should have. The room was modern, industrial and had a cool vibe. I’d definitely stay there again!

This is a lovely little Boutique Hotel with a trolley stop and walking distance to everything in town. Comes complete with sea lions underneath the structure- if you're a light sleeper you will want those earplugs they provide.

Quite a stunning hotel, room are industrial modern, two complaints we went during a heat wave and it was quite unpleasant at night due to lack of AC in the rooms, I also did not feel comfortable leaving the windows open while we slept due to seeing homeless nearby, but we survived location is still incredible. What got me was I booked an upstairs room, which was apparently no pets allowed, when I saw this I spoke to the manager and he said it’s ok I prove upstairs stay. On the day of our arrival we were put in a room at the bottom without prior notice, no discount which I know the room have different cost. That rubbed me the wrong. I felt prior notice for a relatively expensive stay, a call would have been warranted.
