What an excellent property!! The staff were SO friendly and helpful, the room was clean, charming, and well-appointed, and the bed was super comfortable. The sea lions are noisy but not unpleasant - it adds to the vibe. Also loved the restaurant and bar - food and drinks were excellent. We are looking forward to returning!
Hello first I request the room with wiew on it I pay for over 600 plus tax and then I got a room worth maybe 300 a dirty room underneath the bed sounds like no one clean for years. Nothing special is okay

The room was great, wonderful view.
Sea lions right under our room prevented sleep and kept the dogs up, shaking all night.
This is such an adorable boutique hotel. I’d totally stay again! I’d only warn others of the banging wave’s and loud sea lions at night (although it was fun seeing them). But they provide ear plugs and a fan to help drown out the noise. I didn’t have the best nights sleep but I enjoyed the atmosphere And comfort of the ambiance and attention to detail. Truly, Loved it.
Really lovely hotel. Great design features and location. The bed was possibly the most comfortable that I have ever slept on! I need to find out (because I forgot to ask) the make of the mattress :)
I loved the fact that the hotel was right on the water and did not have the usual carpet in the rooms and elsewhere.
Downside -- Due to the seals being right there, if you are a light sleeper then this might not be the place for you to stay...which is a shame because we loved it!

Personally, I love the barking sea loins, but it was constant. The staff was great, room was comfortable, and the location close to everything in town. We will be back.
Cute hotel, great views from lobby bar and dining area. Took one star away because the sea lions outside the hotel are LOUD, hotel is kind enough to provide ear plugs and a white noise machine . For the price of the room, a warning in the room descriptions would have been great .
Clean room, helpful staff, great location. The sound carries a lot on the top floor. Shower door was strange because it doesn’t fully enclose the shower. The barn door into the bathroom was aesthetic but not great for privacy.

The cutest riverside room & the fireplace was perfect for the weather.
My wife and I have been traveling up and down the PNW coast for a few years now, and stayed at dozens of hotels. The Bowline Hotel in Astoria is our new favorite!
We checked in, fully intending to leave and explore Astoria, but after seeing the hotel and our rooms we decided to just stay in. The room was beautiful, with a great view of the river, and nice decor, as well as a large bath. We ended up not even leaving our room, just ordering room service (which was delicious) and some cocktails (also fantastic).
Our room faced the river, and we woke up early enough to watch the sea lions that sleep under the pier swim out below our balcony, it was a fantastic experience!
