there was no power the first night I stayed. No light, no flushing toilets. no running water and was told it was due to the weather. however, the weather was fine and other properties around us had power. when the power was restored the next day there was no Wi-Fi or television. it's clearly listed that it's available on the website

Great Stay, Great Location

We enjoyed our stay at the Gateway Inn. The cabin was spacious and well equipped. Right outside Mt Rainier park so you can avoid the long morning line to get in. Only issue was that the pillows were very flat. I would recommend replacing or adding more so they can be stacked for those that prefer fluffier pillows.

Cabin was very “rustic”. Bed was very uncomfortable. Got many mosquito bites overnight. Shower was very small. Cell reception was not good, and internet spotty. There was a county wide power outage at some point overnight and while they left a sign on the door of the lobby that power was expected to be back in 2-4 hrs, didn’t include time on sign. Lot of water in fridge indicating it had warmed, so food has to be thrown off. Room didn’t have enough windows for light- would have been helpful to have flashlights available or a way to contact someone for help - cell signal wasn’t strong enough to call or text the number provided.

Location Great - Room TERRIBLE

Our room was one of old beds, unusable furniture, non working light fixtures, the smallest shower, no where to hang clothes, no outlets in bathroom.......

Steps from the park

The property is perfectly situated right outside Mt Rainier National Park. That made it especially easy to access the park and other local attractions. The beds weren’t the best, but the room did have a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The staff was absolutely wonderful, helpful, and pleasant. If you are satisfied with your basic needs being met, the is a great place to stay.

This stay was a step above camping which was fine for us. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom consists of a toilet , small sink and a tiny shower. Everything was clean. The proximity to the National Park was its greatest asset. We would stay again.

Since it’s a log cabin, there a lot of cobwebs on our cabin and we also had spiders crawling in our stuff. Not enough lighting in the cabin.

Loved every minute of it. Very cozy and tastefully decorated. Wifi wasn’t the best but can’t expect much for the middle of the woods. Beautiful property overall
