The only way you can justify the cost of staying here is it’s proximity to the national park. It’s steps outside of the Southwest gate, which is incredible, but the cleanliness was a major issue. Dust everywhere, stained carpets and comforters (even some dried chunky stuff on the comforter), and hair all over the shower from a previous guest. There is wifi but they did not provide a passcode and the “guest” WiFi did not work. They have directv but that also was not working despite it being a clear night. They advertise being able to purchase espresso/coffee in the morning but don’t open until 9 so we never had the chance to even try that out. There was a couple of nice things, very comfortable memory foam mattress and a nice large suite.

Beautiful cabin accommodations right at the south west entrance of the Mt. Rainier Park. New wood cabins located in a wooded area. They are very spacious, well appointed and clean. They still smell like freshly cut wood. We loved our stay here. We will be back.

The beds were comfy and the location is extremely convenient. Literal feet from the park entrance. However, there were toenail clippings by the bed and the shower had debris in it. The fridge was stained and cable not working. Given the price point, I figured all this was OK. Also the hotel manager tried multiple times to convince me that I had booked two nights and needed to pay for the second to the hotel directly. This was not the case as I paid for one night and stayed one night, not two. This might have been lost in translation but it felt more like they were trying to make me pay for a night I wasn’t staying there.

Rustic and quiet. we enjoyed our stay.love that it's right next to the parks entrance!

They put us in cabin 3 - only 3 tiny windows (one of which looked out at another dark wall) so very dark; very dirty; when ready for bed, mouse ran into the room with us & kept us up scratching, chewing. They supposedly could not move us that night but gave us a mouse trap, which did work, but other critter(s) in cabin making noise -THE WORSE NIGHT OF MY LIFE!! Fortunately they moved us to one of the "tiny house" cabins - 100% better for our second might. That first cabin was UNBELIEVABLY HORRIBLE between the uncleanliness & the rodent problems. Also, the pillows were terrible - and only 2 of them, and there is absolutely zero hangers or hooks in cabin 3; no where to put anything up! That place should be torn down!!!

This property location was literally the gateway to Mount Rainier park. It had plenty of space and all the essentials for a one night stay.

Location is great but room needs updating, rugs are old

Carpet smelled bad and bad lighting in the room. If only the management replaces couch, change carpet, add more lighting, get WiFi working then it’s not a bad place to stay overnight.

It is Right next to the park entrance.very convenient.

Beautiful cabin steps outside of the state park. The check in is easy and the room was wonderful. Nice updated tv with extensive cable package, fridge, microwave, updated bathroom. Nice sofa which creates a nice little living room space, very clean, bed was nice and comfortable (the sheets smelled nice and fresh). Highly recommend, great location, 6 miles from Ashford, full stock shop for snacks and souveniers.

It was way too dark inside and it smelled musty even with the windows open.

This place is right outside the entrance to Mt. Ranier National Park. That makes it good.

Terrible. Outdated, old, dirty with rude staff. Only reason it still exists is because it is right next to the park.

Should be called Gateway Cabins and not motel. Very nice cabin with 2 queen beds plus 2 rollout beds. Fireplace and storage closet. Fridge and microwave. Has a store on location for all your basic needs even souvenirs. Very comfortable and staff very friendly.

This review is for the room areas of the inn only. I do not know about the condition of the cabins. Location is a plus. Just at the edge of the national park. Room was a nightmare or mishmash with sewer gas smell. Not pleasant. The price not s good value. Avoid the rooms.
