This small lodge is just a few minutes drive away from the main entrance to Mount Rainier. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and had a coffee maker, large flat screen TV, refrigerator, and microwave. The internet was spotty and slow, but our Verizon phones had a good signal. The breakfast was okay but didn’t start until 7am. They served scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, juices, etc. The breakfast room was very small. If location, comfort and cleanliness are important to you I would recommend staying here!!

Very friendly staff, comfortable and quiet accommodation. They really care about their customers and do everything they can to make you feel valued. They could not serve breakfast until about 9 am the morning we checked out due to an illness with the manager, but they followed up the following week with a partial room refund. I would not stay anywhere else in Ashford.

Very comfortable hotel, clean, decor fits well into woodsy environment. extremely welcoming and competent couple running the place. We stayed there 2 nights, but would have liked to stay longer. The lobby is comfortable to hang out in and they have complimentary wine in the evening.

We stayed one night while visiting Mt Rainier--book early for summer. Nice looking lodge with great location to the southwestern entrance to park. We had a king room with roll away ($10 extra) for our daughter. 2nd floor room was clean, shower good, king bed ok, but the roll away was very uncomfortable-would not recommend for an adult. I did tell them about this upon checkout. No elevators. Breakfast area very small, but was constantly being replenished and cleaned. We were satisfied with the complimentary breakfast, coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, & make your own waffles.

Lodge is one of the only lodging options near Nisqually entrance to Mt Rainier National Park that is not a motel that hasn’t been updated since the 1960’s. The front desk staff were very friendly and offered us wine on our arrival. They had even called earlier in the day to check and see what time we were arriving in case they we needed them to make dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The room wasn’t as soundproof as a new hotel but was still reasonable. They offer a free hot breakfast in the morning but we left early in the morning before it started so I can’t speak for it’s selection or quality. The WiFi isn’t very fast but being so far from a big town there may not be hi speed internet available.

First of all, great warm welcome by Mike with wine when you check in!!! After anxious drive on State Rt. 7/706 due to road closure and detours, it was a relief to reach the Nisqually lodge and receive a very warm welcome! Access to the lodge is well lighted with a good sign and ample parking. The rooms were large , spacious and clean. The showers and supplied toiletries were excellent. The beds and linen were also high quality and clean. The best thing is, there is hot water for tea and cofee available 24 hours. But the best thing is hot breakfast with high quality tea and eggs, waffles, breads, yogurts, juices and more. And finally the location is so close to the park entrance. We were able to reach the Paradise visitor center(Jackson visitor Center) one hour before they open to find parking and start hiking while it was cool weather!

Our stay at this characterful and comfortable lodge near the park entrance was marred by the indifferent breakfast experience, and especially by the non-recyclable plastic in which everything including the boiled eggs were wrapped. Serving the pristine National Park, where conservation is paramount, this seemed shockingly incongruous. When I asked about re-cycling, I was told, 'Our garbage collectors don't do that.' Yet inside the Park, there were signs saying 'all utensils compostable!' Washington is supposed to be the greenest state!

we‘ ve spend only 1 night there - but we really liked it. The big familyroom was amazing - well equipped and very clean. Nice and quiet environment and a friendly crew. We surely can warmly recommend and - no doubt - would come back another time

Nice and friedly staff when we arrived. In the lobby they serve wine from 6-9 Pm. Free as a service for the guests. The lobby is very decorated and s pleasure to drink a coffee, have a chat or read a book. Nice room an good bed. Mount Rainer park amazing and close.

The hotel is well-situated for accessing the National Park, being right on the main road to the Niaqually gate. The staff were welcoming and there is even a complimentary wine tasting provided in the early evening. The room was large and the beds were comfy. Note that the wi-fi service was patchy at best, although you are quite remote here. Breakfast is provided, although you get the same each day.
