Loved every thing. Breakfast was unbelievable. Ron Lauer

Fabulous place. Warm staff that tends to every detail.

Nick, Kerry and staff could not have made our stay more pleasant and rewarding. The food was incredible and presentation was top rate. Best B&B we have stayed in ever!! We will come back over and over...no need to look elsewhere... Bill& Jeanne Raleigh, NC

We enjoyed two nights here in celebration of our wedding anniversary. After reading up on a dozen Asheville B&B's, I settled on Abbington as the best possible surprise I could give to my wife--a woman who values spaces with character, fellowship with others, and sophisticated flavors. Each room and hallway at Abbington is artfully styled, from original paintings and pottery to charming antiques and classy modern furniture. We loved the Kensington Room for its lovely green palate, corner fireplace, whirlpool tub, and regal bed. Nice little touches like the motion-sensing nightlight beneath the bathroom sink and warm robes in the closet were icing on the cake. Nick and Carrie are exquisite hosts. They were out the back door of the inn and at our car, all smiles and helping hands, before we even had time to exit the vehicle! Their passion for making strangers feel at home is apparent in every detail: a 24/7 hot beverage and snack station by the front door, enchanting wind chimes on both porches, luxurious table settings at breakfast, fascinating mini-lessons on everything from the apples in our warm compote to the home's famous architect, and a delightful social hour from 5-6pm each evening when all guests are invited to the parlor for complimentary wine, beer, tasty finger food (the homemade kind!), and conversation. We left after two days feeling like we'd spent much longer than that with both our hosts AND our fellow guests. We'll look forward to another visit down the road!

As soon as you walk into this amazing house, you are greeted by one of the owners and you immediately feel like part of the family. These people truly care about their clients and it shows in everything that they do. Social hour by the fireplace at 5 is fantastic (with free drinks and appetizers!) And breakfast in the morning is as good as you'd get in any restaurant.

Nick and Steve were great hosts. Christmas dinner was superb.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! It began with an email ahead of time, asking about our food preferences and allergies, and a phone call the day we were checking in, letting us know the room would be available early if we chose. We were greeted in the parking area by Nick, the owner, who greeted us by name and carried in our bags. We got a tour of the inn, as well as a brief history of the place. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean, with a gas fireplace, very comfortable bed and spacious bath with jacuzzi. We were invited down for happy hour on the porch, with wine or beer, local cheeses and hot hors d’oevres on the porch, where we had a nice time talking to other guests. We had recommendations from Nick for dinner destinations, which we appreciated. The full breakfast was great, served on china in the dining room seated with guests we had met the previous day on the porch. All in all, a wonderful time. Our only regret was that we were only staying one night. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Abbington Green. The inn itself is wonderful, and the owner and staff are first rate. Nick, the proprietor, was excellent at personalizing our stay - from the Happy Anniversary greeting card awaiting us in our room to the attention to our specific dietary needs every day. Nick told us all about the history of the inn and showed us several of the other guest rooms. We ourselves had one of the smaller rooms, but it was quite adequate for our needs. Everything was clean and tidy and pleasant. Although it was bitter cold during our visit, we were quite warm in our room. The breakfasts were amazing! Most of the food was organic and exquisitely prepared. They clearly put much time, thought, and effort into their meals. They also had cookies and other goodies available throughout the day, and there is a "happy hour" every evening when you can meet your fellow travelers, plan dinner, discover what to do in town, etc. Nick is very knowledgeable about the area, and he had lots of suggestions for things to do, specific restaurants to meet our needs and whims, etc. He is also quick to make a reservation for you if necessary. Both my wife and I were tremendously impressed by our visit. We plan to return to Abbington Green soon!

Abbington Green was a wonderful place to stay in Asheville! The house was a beautiful, historic home built in the Biltmore style, in a nice historic neighborhood close to downtown Asheville. The staff and owners made us feel quite at home, and the "social hour" and breakfast in the morning were wonderful! We even brought home a cookbook, so we could continue to enjoy the tasty treats. I would highly recommend that you spend some time at Abbington Green!
