"In the Highlands we have to accept there is not a huge supply of staff, so if some staff have an unusual approach to hospitality (e.g. "Can I have a half-of-Guinness? "No") try to think of it as part of the Highland experience, 'cos unless Hilton etc. open up here, this is the way it's going to be. Quirks aside, this was a good base if you need to be in Strathpfeffer. A surprising lack of eating / drinking options in the village. I don't think the season had properly started in June. Maybe July."
